  • OMG! What memories this brings me....

  • 6:03 video: 1964 #1 hit "Oh, Pretty Woman" co-written and sung by Roy Orbison (April 23, 1936; Vernon, Texas – December 6, 1988); with guests Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, T Bone Burnett, and JD Souther.

  • K ... I Admit To Being 60 Years Old . . . This Is Just One Of Tons Of Music That Will Live Forever!!! I FEEL SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE GROWN UP DURING THOSE TIMES!!! . . . Justin Beiver . . . when His core audience is 10 year old girls . . .

and, little talent and into His 11th. Minute of His 15 Minutes Of Fame . . . CAN NOT IMAGINE ANYONE FEELING THE SAME FOR HIM IN 40 YEARS!!!

  • I LOVED HOW ROY Stepped Back During The Jammin' Part . . . Springstein

was Trying To Out Do Roy . . . BUT .... when Push came to shove . . .

ROY stepped Forward and BLEW HIM outta The HOUSE!!!

  • @TheQ97 I guess I missed that part...Do you mean where James Burton and Springsteen are trading licks? Roy could out-sing either of them, but he sure couldn't pick anywhere near as good as those two.

  • @lilton25 He had a unique voice. When, where, have you ever heard another like it?

  • @gmaureen - So true! Dwight Yoakam once described Orbison's voice as: "The cry of an angel falling backward through an open window". :-)

  • James Burton - the man.

  • Woaaa! Great song, everything is great!

I believe this is the first video I have seen Mr.Orbison smile as much as he did in this one!LOL! I imagine it would have been hard not to with all of those beautiful women around him! I love it! I love everything that he accomplished. I believe he will always be at the top! So sad he died at such a young age. I haven't seen a book about his life but I sure would love to read one. I have always loved him! Thank you to his family for being so generous with him.

    we love you....

  • Anyone else ever turn down the stereo while you are singing along to Roy and notice how horrible you sound. His voice is impossible to emulate.

  • THE BOSS!

  • Magical and timeless. Thank u for posting this!!

  • Hey folks...- don't worry about the comment made by YouTuber member KCPER1 about Bruce Springsteen.

Before KCPER1 deleted his "favorites" in his profile, one of his favorites listed was that of Vanilla Ice. I'm Serious.. LoL...LOL !!

  • As i said on another vid of this concert Tom Waits Rules!

  • Roy with Elvis' old TCB Band; Glen Hardin on piano, Ron Tuttle on Drums, Jerry Scheff on bass, and the great James Burton on lead guitar. Also Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Wait, J.D. Souther, T-Bone Burnett, Bonnie Raitt, k.d. lang, and Jennifer Warnes. Doesn't get much better than that!

  • @buckfan1969 Just missing the 'King' and it would have been The Super Group'

  • and who else is in this video?? could u tell me all of them??

  • James Burton on guitar, Ronnie Tutt on drums, both from Elvis' band

  • Please help me - who are all these famous faces? Tom Wait? Springsteen? Elvis Costello?

  • What a combination of talent on one stage together!! More musical talents should pursue ventures like this for a rockin' video!

  • Roy sure has some pretty good "friends."

    Mercy.

  • Two great friends that Roy had that are not there are Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins.

  • No fellow Wilburies either.....! ?

    AWESOME PERFORMANCE, regardless!

    wow ROY ROCKS

    --and SUCH MUSICAL COMPANIONSHIP!.---back then...

--that's one HUGE THING we're missin' today is COMPANIONSHIP amongst today's musicians (there's only competition today, it seems!..sad... )

  • Geweldig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BRUUUUUUUCE!!!!

  • Hell, the backbone of the band is four of Elvis's old live bandmates: James Burton (Guitar), Glen Hardin (Piano), Jerry Scheff (Bass) and Ronnie Tutt (Drums). It just doesn't get any better than that!

    Awesome performance!!!

  • Mercy!

  • Pianist is Glen harden i think thats how u spell it,,, lawdy miss clawdy,,, played in tcb band ...elvis,s band,,

  • There must be one heck of a band in heaven. Thanks Roy.

  • Amo esta version, simplemente GENIAL!!!!

  • whos on piano i forget his name?? hes awesome!!

  • The pianist looks to be Tom Waits. A stellar backing group indeed; Jackson Browne, James Burton, Ron Tutt, Jerry Scheff, Elvis Costello. Difficult to top that lot.

  • don't forget springsteen!

  • i was just gonna say that too! lol Bruuuuce!

    wicked band! Rarh!

  • And don't forget the back-up vocals: K.D. Lang, Bonnie Raitt, and Jennifer Warren!

You were right: "Difficult to top that lot."

  • Amen, the best ever...........

  • Absolutely fantastic !

  • Always at its meaningful transistion when the elderly musicians share stage with the next generational music icons (movers & Shakers)I especially like the solo markers on each tribute. wow, its was of the Great Roy Orbison to engage the next in line and i know they will do the same to the up coming artists. but not tommorrow maybe the next decade or so when it feels right then. just to note everyone of them can play an instrument i hope the next generics will do too. without any distortion.

  • Twilight of the (Rock and Roll) Gods...

  • PERFECT!thank you.......

  • fkin ACE dont care bout who made wat they ar playin just the talent that was on the stage that nite wish i was ther 2 see this

  • This is it!!

  • Roy Orbison is the Soul of Rock and Roll !

  • Thanks a lot ROMAN....worlds best guitarplayers are here to play !

  • one of my favourite call and answer guitar breaks

  • Super stuff

  • 5:00 in Bruce takes his hands off the guitar! And who wouldn't; that other guy's a monster.

  • That monster guitarist is the legendary Mr. James Burton. Hand-picked TCB bandmate of Elvis Presley on the comeback. Mr. Burton is largely responsible for popularizing the spare, clean, elegant tone that made Fender and the Telecaster legends. Although rarely flaunted, Springsteen is a truly gifted guitarist, and could have easily gone the "Guitar God" route. But even he knows that he ain't no James Burton. But if life was fair, Fender would send Mr. Burton a fat check every month--for life!

  • God this man had such a beautiful voice!! Why did he have to leave!

  • @kinneyboy90 I heard his recordings first in the 50's. There are only so many heart beats to a persons life. Unfortunately Roy's ran out , as has been said.....way too soon.

  • Amazing...

  • love this song
