6:03 video: 1964 #1 hit "Oh, Pretty Woman" co-written and sung by Roy Orbison (April 23, 1936; Vernon, Texas – December 6, 1988); with guests Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, T Bone Burnett, and JD Souther.
K ... I Admit To Being 60 Years Old . . . This Is Just One Of Tons Of Music That Will Live Forever!!! I FEEL SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE GROWN UP DURING THOSE TIMES!!! . . . Justin Beiver . . . when His core audience is 10 year old girls . . .
and, little talent and into His 11th. Minute of His 15 Minutes Of Fame . . . CAN NOT IMAGINE ANYONE FEELING THE SAME FOR HIM IN 40 YEARS!!!
@TheQ97 I guess I missed that part...Do you mean where James Burton and Springsteen are trading licks? Roy could out-sing either of them, but he sure couldn't pick anywhere near as good as those two.
I believe this is the first video I have seen Mr.Orbison smile as much as he did in this one!LOL! I imagine it would have been hard not to with all of those beautiful women around him! I love it! I love everything that he accomplished. I believe he will always be at the top! So sad he died at such a young age. I haven't seen a book about his life but I sure would love to read one. I have always loved him! Thank you to his family for being so generous with him.
Roy with Elvis' old TCB Band; Glen Hardin on piano, Ron Tuttle on Drums, Jerry Scheff on bass, and the great James Burton on lead guitar. Also Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Wait, J.D. Souther, T-Bone Burnett, Bonnie Raitt, k.d. lang, and Jennifer Warnes. Doesn't get much better than that!
I watched this on gpb-georgia public broadcasting. The concert is called "Black and White night". Very good concert. You are never disappointed with this.
Hell, the backbone of the band is four of Elvis's old live bandmates: James Burton (Guitar), Glen Hardin (Piano), Jerry Scheff (Bass) and Ronnie Tutt (Drums). It just doesn't get any better than that!
The pianist looks to be Tom Waits. A stellar backing group indeed; Jackson Browne, James Burton, Ron Tutt, Jerry Scheff, Elvis Costello. Difficult to top that lot.

That monster guitarist is the legendary Mr. James Burton. Hand-picked TCB bandmate of Elvis Presley on the comeback. But if life was fair, Fender would send Mr. Burton a fat check every month--for life!
