I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
this is an absolutely piece of art.i'm 23 years old but i don't dream to a super tuned toyota supra or a ferrari enzo or a h3 hummer or a boeing 747....an opel rekord c coupe is my wish...if i had enought luck @ the 24th birthday anniversary i'll buy one:D
@HesseJamez No, check at 0:43 you can see it for just a moment, there are 4 round headlights, like in a BMW or something. My Rekord has two big elliptical headlights.

gott hatten die deutschen autofabriken mal coole teile. opel rekord, manta a. Ford Capri, Taunus Knudsen GLX usw. herrlich. heutzutage nur mehr Astra und Focus müll!
Wie schnell fahrt ihr mit eurem Rekord auf der Autobahn? Meiner, ein 1,9 4-Gang coupé fährt bei 4500 u/min 120-5 und bei 5000 u/min 140. Das erscheint mir ein bisschen wenig, denn meine Mutter hat auch einen C Rekord 1900, allerdings die zweitürige limousine und die geht weit über 140. Mein Vater hat (beim ersten Motor und bei 200 000km) sogar 180 erreicht, nur da war dann der Motor hin. Ich fahre mit meinem Coupé 120 und meine Mutter 130-140 mit ihrem. Warum gibts da so nen Unterschied?
Das hört sich in etwa nach den Werten eines 1700ers mit 66 PS an. Bist sicher, dass dein Motor original ist? Mein C-Rekord Coupe ist inzwischen zu, 2.0E mutiert und rennt natürlich entsprechend, aber als der originale 1900er Vergaser noch drin war, machte er gute 165 - mit 4Gang.
Ich war bis vor 3 Jahren der letzte Besitzer dieses Rekord. Beulen waren begradigt, Borbet A Felgen wurden gegen ATS 5-Stern Felgen ersetzt. Fuß-Gaspedal und Holzlenkrad waren noch drin. Motor mit 40er Webervergasern sowie die roten Blinker hinten wurden ebenfalls dem neuen Käufer überlassen. Die letzte Fahrt machte der Reko auf einem Anhänger ins hessische. (Bin mir nicht sicher, denke aber nach Gießen..Oder war es Wetzlar?? )

Sorry, but I can't see any special - those are the serial lights, at least in Germany.

the glasses are from bmw e30 called black DE.
