  • awesome artist fab song and great cars dynamite rock and roll yeh

  • Ah, the times of economic prosperity! How I miss them!

  • My All-Time favorite Bobby Rydell Song. Should have been a #1 Hit.

  • The car at 43 seconds is a 1957 Chrysler Imperial

  • The first car is a '63 Pontiac I believe.

  • Artists had to sing - there wasn't the studio 'tricks' of today, notably "perfect Pitch". Remember this song very much in Pgh chart, especially KQV, WEEP & KDKA. About the same time-ish was "Goodbye Cruel World", James Darren. Love looking at the cars. . . the true RNR car was Chevy Impala, white top convertible, cream leather interior, pale blue (baby blue) body, skirts & whitewalls. Mmmmmmm - memories! Dad had the '55 chevy 2-tone & later a Corvair. RIP.

  • whats that car at :43?

  • @ShadeSpire Don't know the exact model, but it's a Chrysler product.

  • @ShadeSpire

If you mean (at 43 seconds) Think it might be a 59 Cadillac but wouldnt want to lay money on it...Anyone else have any idea's? .....This song and those cars send a shiver down my spine everytime I see and hear them.. Best years of our lives by a mile!!!! 23813114 (in the UK)

  • @23813114 no, it's a 60or 61. 59s had bigger tail fins

  • @ShadeSpire i think that is a Desoto from 1957 or so.

  • @ShadeSpire - Earlier post by MrBailey nailed it for the make, but close on the year. There is a lot of similarity between 57 and 58 (I found video of both here on youtube) but those both have the same grill and they don't match this one. I searched for 1959 Chrysler Imperial and found a great video of a BEAUTIFUL 1959 Chrysler Imperial, out, running in traffic (present day) and sounding very healthy ! Check out the video by DtRockstar1 uploaded Aug 28, 2011. : )

  • @ShadeSpire 59 IMPERIAL

  • This song sounds a little bit like "I Hear A Symphony."

  • Absolutely one of the best songs of 1963, Billy Fury's later slower version also good but not in this class.

  • THIS SONG FIRST HIT THE BILLBOARD CHARTS ON 11/09/63. IT STAYED ON THE CHARTS FOR 16 WEEKS.

  • This is a very nice song.javier.

  • This is a very nice song.

  • He should have known better, sometimes "stars" forget who got them there! Perhaps the "long bad jokes" were to cover the failing voice??? PC 23813114

  • Love the song, love the classic cars, but Bobby Rydell has fallen a bit in my opinion in the last few years. My GF and I saw an outdoor concert with him a few years ago. He spent less time singing that making a lot of jokes, some of them in questionable taste, and then ignoring a long line of fans to hobnob with some local politicians.

Nevertheless, our Jersey Shore summers would be missing a lot without his "Wildwood Days."

  • great oldie from the 60's. bobby remade this song years later when his voice was more mature, but this is a much better version. thanks for the memories.

  • This reminds me of my dad we had a 55 Dodge in the UK and a 64 Ford Galaxie 500

  • @burnley5960

Hi, Yep it brings the memories flooding back. I live in the UK and had 2 studibakers in the sixties. Played in a rock n roll band but this tune sums up the late 50s early 60s a real classic PC

  • @23813114 My older brother had a 62 Ford Fairlane, and I was 11. One day, I drove my brother's car. YIKES!!! That was the scariest thing I ever did. But I never forgot and everytime I hear this song, I start laughing and remembering.

  • @418sadeyes Yep you cant buy good memories...Priceless!!!! I get goose-pimples everytime I hear this song.......23813114 PC

  • Love the song and love the car,s
