I think Larten didn't become a prince because Seba said he had mixed blood and Seba was offered to be a Prince and declined and Larten also declined too because he thought he too may not be able to control the power of being a prince

It has reignited my passion for the Cirque du Freak books and for Larten especially, who had always been my favorite character. Well done, Mr. Shan! I've just finished the saga of Darren Shan, finished the demonata series 2 months ago, read the the thin executioner last week, finished the city series, and just read birth of a killer... You are probably the best author around and your books are amazing

some readers think (as Steve Leopard did in CDF) that Mr Crepsley's real name is Vur Horston. It isn't. Vur Horston was just a name he used in the past. His real name really is Larten Crepsley. This is mentioned in passing in one of the books -- look out for it the next time you're re-reading them!!!

Ah!! I'm SO excited!!! I was actually shaking with excitement and biting my lip to keep from fangirl squealing while watching this! I heard a rumor about it a few months ago and thankfully nobody was home, because I couldn't hold it back then. I am probably going to buy this book the minute it comes to my bookstore. :)

Hey Darren, I have recently (Yesterday!) started reading one of you newer books, The thin excecutioner and I think it is excellent, even though I have only read the first 5 chapters, It is excellent so far. You are the only author whos books I can read without putting them down within the next 5 minutes. They are amazing, I have almost completed my full set of Cirque du Freak and after this I am hoping to get the Demonata series, You are a great author and definately my favorite. Good Luck!
