The constitution is a great document, but unfortunately it cannot stop bullets, and it has not stopped politicians.

With the government purchasing into corporations, it is clearly evident that we are now entering communism.

If we take a hard look at the social contract (US Constitution), we realize that it was violated by Abraham Lincoln when the southern states wished to secede.

It was their right to secede. They were refused the right to secede, and violently forced to remain a part of the union.

The social contract is now broken, and therefore illegitimate.

Very true. In fact..I heard Ron Paul say the best solution to slavery should have been for the slaves to have been bought and then released. Some people said that sounded racist and like they were animals...which Ron Paul did not mean. What he meant was that there was a simple solution and the outcome would have been slaves would have been free without bloodshed...so sometimes it makes one wonder why he was upheld in such high regards. Ironic.

Ron Paul is right that the slaves could/would have been freed without a war.

The civil war was not centered around slaves. It was centered around preserving the union.

The southern states wished to secede because they were being abused by monopolistic practices of corporations within the northern states.

The problem I have with Ron Paul is that he endorses a contract (US Constitution) that has clearly been violated. And is currently being violated to this very day.

The US Constitution is effectively null and void.

I used to support RPaul. I have old pro-RP videos, and I imagine that's how you came to add me as a friend.

I'm very thankful to RP for opening my eyes, but as I grew more educated, I realized that the -entire- system is corrupt. The US has too many sheeple, and I see no evidence to show that they will change, not in 10 years, not in 100 years.
