  • 01:53 6 English slips and a gully. You don't do that to the Windies over there...

  • Harmy was always hit & miss, but when he was on, boy was he on!!

My obvious favourite moment of his was the Kasper wicket in the 2nd Test at Edgebaston.

  • This spell is worthy of all the great west indian fast bowlers

  • Good pace and control - You don't usually associate those words with Steve harmison.<<

  • I wish Harmy didn't get home sick, he's a gun on his day..

  • Shame of the WI to have a score like this. Even Bangladesh nor Zimbabwe could score like this in a test match.

  • Where is he now? Huh? "Wide you bother" - the quote to the 06/07 ashes.

  • @thatguyyouknow2 There always has to be a douche like you, finding something negative to say doesn't there? How about giving credit where it's due, 7/12 is pretty damn impressive.

  • I LOVE his bowling styling.. i sometimes impersonate him at training :P

  • Nice try by the Windies in trying to set the lowest score ever but lets not forget that New Zealand proudly hold that record with 26. I doubt that any team will ever beat that magnificent effort. Other limp records such as BC Laras highest scores will come and go but NZ's 26 will be untouchable throughout the ages.

  • @mervemcpeake Funny enough but true who could ever beat a score like that!

  • He was doing to WI what ambrose did to them back in the days....btw harmison aint no ambrose

  • I think Eng and WI have been on a huge challenge to embarrass each other:

    Eng - 46 all out, Trinidad, 1994

    WI - 61 all out, Leeds, 2000

    WI - 47 all out, Kingston, 2004

    Eng - 51 all out, Kingston, 2009

Sir Goerge Headley and Sir Len Hutton must be rolling in thier graves!

  • @Imrankniazi don't forget WI 54 all out Lord's 2000!

  • @Imrankniazi Are you Pakistani?

  • @G00n3r4Life No

  • 2nd one may not have been out, oh well

  • Terrible present West Indies team...maybe they'll do much better with their bobsled than with their cricket.

  • Even though I support England, I was not very disappointed when he was dropped, because I support Durham as well.

We reaped the rewards for it in 2008, 2009, and 2011!!

  • Harmison was a great bowler on bouncy wickets like Sabina Park and Old Trafford, but he was nothing when conditions didn't suit him - especially away from home, in NZ, Oz. How many caps more than he deserved did he get in the hope he could reproduce this? Too many. IMO the greatest travesty of the England team over the past few years is not turning into South Africa B, but sticking with this guy and bumping off Matthew Hoggard after one bad game. Hoggard would run thru a brick wall for England.

  • @DrSpectrum Yeah ya right. Harmison never liked touring and lacked mental stength

  • @DrSpectrum he was good on bouncy wickets yes, but you mention oz as though it isnt bouncy.. i think all of them offer bounce, harmy would do much better down there than the crop at the moment, jimmie will be useless as always

  • @lolCream - "jimmie will be useless as always" - Oops, how embarrassing!

  • now that was when he was really fast....a great bowler

  • I HAVE NEVER RATED HARMISON THIS WAS A ONE OFF FLUKE NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS COULD HE DO THIS AGAINST THEM AUSSIES

  • @DAJAZDJ1 ur an idiot go die

  • 2nd one was going over the top, good ball though

  • He stood so tall at the crease in delivering the ball back in those days, that was the difference

  • What a frustrating bowler Harmison is. That really was a sublime spell of hostile, quick bowling. If only he could fix the mess inside his head he would have gone down as an England great.

  • Harmison is the best bowler along with Anderson we have in the country so why do we have him sitting at home?

The answer is we have coaches who recognise the problem that he struggles away from home (but is world class at home and for Durham) but simply choose to give up on him and kick him off the team rather than try to bring the best out of him. Shocking coaching from Flowers. Can't see him becoming a good coach if he can't bring the best out of his players.

  • @Cessrooster1 Harmison cant play internationally anymore, he had one good year and then just dropped, Flower made a good decision dropping him.

  • @Alexlance1997 Nope. Harmy is da best

  • @Cessrooster1 2006-07 Ashes

  • @pommyadam

    5 - nil. Hardly all Harmison's fault. It was a team's performance.

Secondly, all of England's bowlers were SEVERLY undercooked for that series which is all about poor management.

  • brings back the memories of ambrose :D...damn he retired

  • how many fucking slip fielders where there towards the end, lol

  • I've always felt slightly sorry for Stephen Harmison. Maybe it's because I can relate for his dodgy bowling action. I think he should play for England. He's always intimidating and has the ability to be the best. Just a bit more match practice. After his good bowling in the Ashes 2009, I think that the selectors have got it wrong.

  • Too unpredictable lord. He just had one VERY good year and it takes more than raw pace and intimidation to get the best batsmen out on a consistent basis at this level. He also seems to be very reluctent to leave home. If I had the chance to play for my country in WI, Aus, NZ and SA I'd be ecstatic but Harmy seems to be homesick and disgruntled.

  • Harmisons like shite now

$100 bucks I get heaps of replys saying

'oh fuck you' and shit :P

  • oh fuck you man ... nah kiddin' :) i wouldn't say he was shite. just lost touch with the game.

  • Bring Harmison back into the side!!

  • What is second number in 12,3-8-12-7

  • Maidens

  • but what maidens exactly means in cricket? :P im kinda new to this game :P

  • An over where no runs are scored in it. so dot balls and wickets. only.

Nice to see someone who is not from the normal cricketing countries getting into the game!

  • :) Game looks cool and from that what I see on YouTube , I think I would watch matches on TV... if there were any in Poland :).

And Poland doesnt have cricketing team :) Wikipedia says that even Afganistan got one and we didn't :D

  • i only got into cricket about 2 years ago and im from australia... playing my first season this year... so scary not knowing the fielding positions and how the game completely works.... captian was yellin at me yesterday (O_O)

  • I wish you dont have to play slip or gully :D

I wouldnt like to play those... probably best position is long-on :P 98% of time nothing to do... :P

  • Its a great game to watch on tv and to play, the best imo. I think you can watch online in poland through the ecb website and other places but not 100% sure.

  • it means the batsman didnt get 1 run in the over

  • I think its ludicrous he isnt on the tour to South Africa, the English selectors make yet ANOTHER shambolic decision, alright ...so he hasnt always delivered but is it any surprise the way they have treated him in the past, too many times hes been in and out of the side/not being picked on the right pitches/not being allowed to play for durham, hes a rhythm bowler!! when he gets it right with favourable conditions hes unplayable! his England careers finished now, well done selectors!!!

  • The fact of the matter is, he hasn't toured well for half a decade.

  • i thought he bowled pretty excellently in his last spell in the ashes, darting it across the left handers, bowling a very difficult length to the right handers, I personally thought he did enough. but I do understand the selector's decision, he has been infamously inconsistent when playing for england, but when he's on form he really is quite dangerous. certainly thought he would have been a better choice than liam plunkett, for example

  • couldn't agree more,he offers something different to the other bowlers,I'm sure in the future he will look back and question his attitude towards playing for England, but if you look at it objectively....he's done everything England have asked of him in the past 12 months, look at his treatment in the West Indies...the flattest pitches Ive seen for a long time, yet when there WAS a pitch that offered something (the abandoned test match which was moved I forget which one) they dropped him! clueless!

  • @555hugs Definitely, but the problem is that England keep dropping him and then picking him up again, sodding him around and expecting him to perform exactly the same, personally I think he'd have proved invaluable in South Africa; England need someone to extract pace and bounce from the various pitches at various altitudes and Harmy is your man, I know I'm trying to cling to something that isn't there anymore but I still think he's got alot to offer and theres still a few years left hopefully!!

  • Holy shit!! Was that 6 slips and a gully at 1:53?

  • tall bowlers on a hard wicket, the fear factor increases with height.

  • If the wicket is hard and there is bounce then you pick Harmison, he always does well at old trafford.

  • still a great bowler

  • no he is a mentally ill idiot

  • This is undoubtedly a great performance, but I almost wished it hadn't happened. Harmison lived off this reputation, while being consistently pathetic from 2006-present, to keep regaining his place in the side.

Its sad to see real talent fade away like this.

  • i wish Harmy would do this at the Oval & win the Ashes back!

  • already done it!!!!

  • which he has done now

  • well he's done it

  • Damn poms get all the luck. 11/13 tosses this series and you getting your wish come true.

  • Great comeback by the windies to win this match - the match of the century. Who would have thought Ramnarash Sarwan would have taken 8 wickets!

  • very sad to see the west indies being reduced to this

  • 47 all out!!!! w.indies have come a long way from the days of viv richards and gary sobers

  • please say that we won this test lol

  • hey was that after the 2005 ashes or before??

  • It was before you absolute numpty

  • Before. Nasser Hussain was still playing and retired before the ashes.

  • Before This Game Was "004

  • Get him back in now for the 3rd test.

  • haha got a pair unlucky!

  • West Indies are pish!

  • one more run then England got.

  • does any 1 reamber the other video of this the a song over the video i want to no what the song was called

  • it was shine by shannon noll

  • absolute monster cnt fucking believe he doesnt bowl like that anymore!

  • If he bowled like that for his whole career, he would have vyed for the best bowler in history, no doubt.

  • Dude saying that Harmison is "going through a bad spell" must be the understatement of the decade. Since that first ball in Brisbane he hasn't been the same. THAT'S OVER TWO AND HALF YEARS MAN!

Steve Harmison should have spent another season at Durham before returning to his little clique in the England Squad. He's a spent force now, it's time for England to stop living in the past (e.g. this video and the '05 ashes) and MOVE THE FUCK ON!!!!

  • all i can say is revenge is so sweet in 2009 at sabina park, the same ground that this took place england were bowled out for 51. Harmisson looks like an amature now a shadow of his former self. jerome taylor of the west indies looks more like harmarson of the past. revenge is sweet. So england NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH :)

  • Yeah but what did you lot do after that freak innings? Parked the bus for the rest of the series, desperate cricket.

  • what you mean park the bus for the rest of the series? your guys had use under pressure a few times. I think Andrew Strauss is having a rough time as captain. Have you seen the one day serise? England look out of sorts. The one game that they have won so far the West Indies handed it to them because of a stupid miscalculation. They may very well come back and win the serise but for now its IN YOUR FACE ENGLAND. West Indies bowled these guys out today for 117 and Gayle punished them with bat

  • well IN YOUR FACE WEST INDIES england won the series by sheer class!!!!!!!

  • wel all i can say is where were the west indies in the series over here cos they certainly didnt bloody turn up!! and we dont need harmy we ave onions!!! england for the ashes!!!!!

  • i thought the delivery to ramnaresh sarwan was going above the stumps

  • But he does get a lot of those deliveries given out

  • true, it very clearly was going over.

  • as a west indian who was at sabina park yesterday, all i have to say is....lol.

  • and now the reverse of this has occured at the same ground 5 years later.

  • On song, harmison is class - extracts excellent bounce and pace, but his mind dominates his ability, and when he bowls a bad ball, he dwells on it, bowls another and is snowballs...until he is totally shattered mentally.

His key is just bowling, bowling, bowling. Otherwise he will only pick up wickets by batsmen making silly mistakes rather than getting them out, which is what true professionals do regularly.

  • your a joke, i bet you would get dicked on by harmi, he is class, I bet your just a park playing cricketer you twat.

  • acually im 17 and will be playing for NSW within the next 2 years, look out for the initials dm you fucking harmison arse licker.

  • Silly little cunt. Your balls havent dropped yet. They would if Harmison was bowling 90mph at your head though.

  • Hahaha, you joker! Have a word with yourself!

  • When was this? Before the 1st ball to second slip fiasco in the last ashes series? Before the wah wah wah homesickness bug?

    Come on.

    PFFT.

  • 47 all out..shit are u kidding me..man windies' cricket needs help

  • steve harmison is legend i am from durham nd he is amazing wen england rejectin him in 2007 he has come back stronger than ever

  • Those were the days. If only Harmy could get back to anywhere near that.

Worlds best at the time and unplayable.

  • @davidmphill Now Swan is the best at the moment

  • @Alexlance1997 Swann IS the best. I just love the off spinner!

  • Before coming back and playing for england Harmy was taking many many wickets for Durham

so he earned his place back in the team....!

  • the england team are a bit like the olympics, only comes to town once every 4 years but when it does it can be worth watching.... sometimes

but too be fair what have the done since the ashes? really? come on i'll wait.

  • they've only won a few series after the ashes but to be honest thats it =(

  • that was class from Harmy. And for your infomation andrewkr6 harmison is back in the England team .Wanker.Now who's the streak of piss

  • lol half volley it pitch half way down u idoit!!!

  • That lbw against sarwan was well to high

  • no way. playing forward to a half volley

  • shcking performance by the west indies but BLOODY HELL brilliant bowling from Harmison :D

  • true true, the fact that Windies got their lowest test total against England, Ridley Jacobs remarkable century, which given the Windies batting brittleness was absolute glory. Even Jerome Taylor's bowling that match was amazing. This was a painful series to watch, too bad considering Windies were so woefully outclassed and it was one sided through most of it.

  • 12 overs, 8 maidens? I'd be lucky to bowl 8 maidens in a month of cricket!

  • It's a shame he's never going to return to this kind of form.

  • lara! responded! with the most delightful 400!

  • Yes, but he waited three more matches to get it.

  • true true, too bad he didnt do it on the match where windies were 47 all out, that would have made it even more special...

but still, thats what everyone will remember form that series... not other individual performances that set it up...

  • Well... Lara's 400, yes, but also the fact England won 3-0, their, I think, first series win in the West Indies win for ages, as well as this Harmison spell and such things as Hoggard's hattrick.

  • lara! responded! with the most delightful 400!

  • england! england! england! west indies bundled out cheaply... but at the sight of a white wash... brian lara responde to the prospect! with the most magnificient 400!

    BRIAN! LARA! LARA! LARA!

  • hoggard's spell was better.

  • On his day, Harmison is a very dangerous bowler. This match, the Old Trafford test vs. Pakistan.

  • at one point he was the best in the world

  • So... this is in our imagination, and Harmison didn't really take 7 for 12?

  • wellll abt slips , west indies did the same against england in the recent one days on july 7 2007...

  • no they didnt lol

  • lol how many are there in the slips

  • shame he couldn't do it in the ashes =(

    5 - 0 to Australia

  • shitty quality, unfortunately, but very nice video. i wuz so excited (not particularly happy) when this wuz goin on...

  • it's not a fluke you tit he used to be one of the best bowlers in the world!

  • this is a fluke.he bowls shit nowadays

  • yes, i'm sure we shud trust wht u say, sir ian.

  • hahaha oh yes bit ov a shame he aint like that at the moment

  • We didn't even make the 20 mind

  • jesus that was a shitload of slips! haha

  • Haha, yeah, there were 8 in the slip cordon!!

  • It's his left arm thats the problem now. Look how he is whipping it around and so he stands up tall but currently its very lazy so he is not standing up properly.

  • Come on, Harmy. You can still do it.

  • wow, i really under rated him after watching him in the ashes 06 and that terrible first ball of his.

  • Well the thing is that specialist analysis has shown tha his grip has changed from the days against the West Indies and now... before it was loose and now it's tight... which means he can't get the ball to swing away from batsmen

  • look at the bounce he gets his bouncers would kill

  • Fantastic Harmy! Now can you get it together again to do that against the Aussies!

  • Makes you think, if he can do this on a flat, slow wicket like that why cant he rock it up to the aussies in the ashes? He was terrible yesterday.

  • because that was a fluke
