So forget sticking out your mitt & expecting the state to fund your lavish retirement ‘cos it ain't gonna happen.

If you are 40 & have not made your own provision you are up shit creek. Not only do you not have a paddle but your canoe has got a big f****n hole in it. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Any politician who tells you otherwise and says this is not necessary is lying their ass off and refusing to face this tsunami sized financial problem and should not be voted for ever again.

Pensions first introduced by Bismarck were originally intended for the over 70’s. The state only expected to pay for them for a final few years to avoid absolute destitution through being unable to work due to infirmity. Now we have people retiring at 60 & going off on skiing holidays & expecting the state to support this total misunderstanding of pensions & its related costs.

In the 1950’s there were 7 workers per pensioner to fund this unsustainable party. In 2010 it was 3 & dropping.

What a bunch of self centred whingers and opportunistic politicians exploiting their self pity. Why should there not be parity between men and women? What makes women special that men should work till they are 65 and women should not? That is what equality is all about. 60 is not old these days for most people. This had to be adjusted at some point and the current economic situation has merely forced a correction that should have been done 20 or 30 years ago.
