These signature Marvel thrillers have such downbeat endings. What serious children read them! Steve Englehart's take on superheroes might surprise some people. Used to sit in bath tub and pretend the water's sound was the vat of Adhesive X. "The villain who invented it died years ago---you're much younger than he!" and the bits about the beloved father...it was a lot of abstract thought to absorb at six, seven...deeply stimulating and exciting, even now.

Man did I wear this out listening as a kid. Cap taught me alot, as I continued to read his comic. What a great character.
