  • I got both yamaha R1 2009 and ducati 1098s 2007. great bikes both but the r1 2009 have more power

  • @ldlr1 nice job the ducati ever is better and stronger ducati desmo 1000rr 344km ducati 1098r 310 km and the new ducati panigale 1199 327 km i have 1098 s and i can smoking you easy

  • Rider does fucking matter but if you put 2 rider with the same skill level on a Ducati and a Yami, no matter what say and what u do the Yami would never ever beat that Ducati!

  • I have been riding for a long time now, and my 1198 tricolor has every single bike out there that i raced against. I have a full exhaust, motor back, with the power commander. So to any one that thinks they got a japanese that is the shit, think again. DUCATI RULES!!!!!!!!

  • @TheChevytruckman95 I agree the fuck up! nothing beats ducati!

  • ducatiiiiii!!!

  • I love people who LIE. lmao

  • Where are u from lol I would live to race on my 99 r1 pushing 197 rwhp carb not injected just for fun I want a duc so bad

  • another jap bites the dust

  • joo vaya pasadon que le pega la ducati a la japo yo despues de eso la venderia y me compraria una italiana ,,,ducati al poder

  • bravo ducati

  • @tuomasyb I agree that there the Italian bikes seem to have better brakes and handling, but not by much. The Japanese bikes are generally a bit faster in straight lines. I personally care more about how quickly the bikes can get around a track and the Ducati gives me an unfair advantage over most other bikes, but it comes at a high price.

  • @thankyouverymuchman I think that it is an '04 R1. I'm sure that even an inexperienced rider on an 05 would have left me way behind. I love that '05 Raven, but they are a bit unwieldy for me because they are so fast.

  • buy a fucking decent mic

  • @Desinsectisation Very useful comment. This is a phone camera on a windy day. People's negativity and misery never cease to entertain me.

  • @tuomasyb in the first years of the big fours when they finally all came together on the Liter bike race (2004), they were already making 150hp (@ the crank)... now they make that to the ground.... Duc Streetfighter = 135 rwhp, modded s1000rr = 163rwhp, stock desmo = 162 rwhp. Duc's are the best track bikes if you got the money and track desire. ill go pick up a used -in great condition- 04 fireblade for 4500 USD and laugh all the way to the bank

  • @Ryknfjor Totally agree. I have had Fireblades since the 900. They are fantastic. In my opinion, any bike that you buy these days is top notch.

  • @tuomasyb I agree with you but it's expensive italian motorcycles

  • @tuomasyb DUDE, ENOUGH DEBATING..."Greatest Ever MotorCycles" <----type this in and enjoy, I especially like the #3 bike that they talked about, It was the first true sport bike, but im not gonna tell you which bike it is, you have to check out the video yourself, and dont worry, its not a "CHINK" production video ok !, its european...

  • Comment removed

  • 155 That's it? I am surprised. I can get 130 in second gear. :)

  • @tuomasyb if european bikes ruled then how come they have to copy In-Line 4 cylinder from japan?..and the modern sport bike design we see these days are all base on japanese inovations, because back then every other country was racing on Cafe Racers until Japan came along with their inovations and change sport motorcycle forever...Japanese motorcycles look better, more reliable, sound better and have equal quality...you ride Ducatis, I'll ride Japanese bikes OK !, have fun !

  • well this looks like the duc driver is the better one... i think in a short drag race there wouldnt be a big difference but in a long drag the r1 gets more power from his in-line 4 .. but the good thing about the duc is that it gets its power much quicker at low rpm because of its V2... the r1 must go up to 8000 rpm to get power.. but a drag race is no good camparison for a V2 vs a IL4.. just put them on the track ;)

  • @DurstigerElch Plus if you watch these kind of bikes at the track a R1 has almost the exact same gear spacing as my Gixxer 1000...they will hit just over 100mph in first gear...were a ducati will have to be well into second to do that but also has more low end torque...start this race from 30 and it will quickly be a different story.

  • @AudiS403 Well said. I will say that I see 848's beat GSXR 1000's and R1s on the track all the time though. The liter bikes are way faster technically, but people ride the 848's faster, stop harder, and lay down further. For professional racers, this could obviously not be true, but the Ducati's are very confidence inspiring.

  • @DurstigerElch I completely agree. The guy on the R1 had several disadvantages. His bike is from "04 or so and is completely stock. My Duc has a short shifter, racing clutch, awesome rubber, blah blah. He could have beaten me if he had ridden better. On the track, he can't hang with me at all. That is half his fault and half the bike's fault.

  • so depending on the driver the 848 evo could stand up against the r1... crazy...

  • This doesn't show Ducati > Yamaha

It shows Duc Rider > Yamaha Rider

I couldn't tell you how many litre bikes I smoked when I had my R6. My BIKE was not faster than a single one of them. But I was faster than all of them.

  • your guys are really not knowing what its all about.. RIDER..!! with a bad rider on a 1000cc and a pro on a 600cc then the 1000cc dont have a chance.. Dont talk about which is faster.. ducati 1098 or 1198 will not beat a R1 if the rider know how to ride it.. btw.. my 07 R1 has now problem to hit 189 mph.. anyway.. To all the bikers out there.. Ride hard but safe. =) Sorry for the bad English.

  • @Lybeern Good comment. I will say that my GPS has shown me hit 191 on this bike, but the conditions were just right that day. It usually tops at about 186.

  • @kingsbabydj Is your GPs waterproof btw? because i'm thinking to get one when i get my bike, because i'm not good at remembering places from my head haha.

  • @kingsbabydj lol you said 155MPH in the description and now your saying 191MPH?

    which one is right?

  • @KOSKESH43 Huh? I can't remember what you are talking about. It has been a while. I think that what you are referring to is the motorcycle's top speed of 191 and the speed in the video of around 155. This was a short track and I didn't have time to top out before the end of it.

  • @kingsbabydj no I wasn't talking about the top speed! I was saying that the ducati will destroy the jap bike if two rider have the same skills!

  • @Lybeern Dude , true numbers doesn't much about what you see....

R1 in the organ says 299km/h but it goes trully , 286km/h....it's the slowest supersport in 1000cc.......

Stop thinking and start reading....sure it's up the rider but if the bike can't go , even VR can't do anything to go..

  • @Lybeern Fuck off with your Jap crap R1.... Clearly beaten.....Umad because you have a singer sowing machine for a bike.....

  • @Lybeern Bad player, ducati 1098 or 1198 beat R1, that's all.

  • @Lybeern ah, so thats why 1000 Stock champion is Ducati! Because on other bikes, inlcluding R1 and BMW drivers are idiots... Thanks for enlighteening us!

  • Yea 189 is slow a real rider can blow a r1 away any day. ill take my 1198s and put your r1 one to shame. I blow the doors off any r1 in town I been racing for years and no matter what you say or anyone thinks. About 90% of all riders know Ducati is the best has been for years and will be for a long time to come.

  • @Lybeern look all the videos ducati ever wins the japan bikes only suck

  • @FatRedneckTerrorist

Don't want to sound like a smartass or anything but the strongest in-line 4 is from BMW. It's called the s 1000 rr :D And it was measured at over 200 hp. Just saying :P

  • @loing if ya do some research first jap racebike: honda rc 142 build in 59 mv won their first championship in 52 ;)

  • fuck yamaha -.-

love ducati - live ducati :)

gonna live in a ducati if possible haha :P

  • @TheVpersie11 Fuck youuuuuuewwwwwwww! Yamaha for life!

  • which R1 model was this? what year? oh and btw, where in NE is this at? i live in NE too! lol

  • @lnromandude This is by Boyer Chute. Great road, but it is really far from an ambulance if something happens as we found out. '04 R1 I think.

  • @kingsbabydj

nice! i live in lincoln...recently bought an 1198 from Ducati Omaha

  • ducati for ever!!!simple the best...

  • As expected.

  • obwohl die ducati nur 275kmh schnell ist hat sie gwonnen :D is halt n geiles teil

und die r1 is auch n geiles teil

  • @motomike8012 way to quote tokyo drift lmao

  • DUCATI WINS

  • You guys are fucking idiots 1098 smokes a fucking r1 seriously 180mph 0-60 3secs even better 1198s 186mph 0-60 2.5 secs stupid jap fan boys

  • @scorezz Way to read the manual my friend

  • @scorezz

not trying to burst your bubble here but brado10's comment underneath is true. the ducati specs you posted are true and impressive but all the jap liter bikes can do that too. don't get me wrong, i love ducati, i'm actually selling my kawasaki next week to buy a ducati 1198 or bmw s1000rr, but all the jap bikes are just as good when it comes to performance because every bike at that level can offer more than any person can take. you will wheelie with any bike if you push too hard

  • it all depends on how good the rider is.. this isnt car racing where any idiot can get in and hold the pedal to the floor... I have an 1198 and getting a good drag time is hard because if its unstoppable tendency to wheelie anywhere under 100mph... no mater how far forward you lean... its the same for the Jap liter bikes...

So be careful not to bash any videos of ducatis racing jap bikes... because if your not rolling over 100mp in 3rd gear... your gunna flip over backwards under fullthrottle

  • wow comparing a ducati to yamaha is like comparing mercedez to honda. I own a r6 lol.

  • all hail ducati!!!

  • Just say he hit redline at 180mph and I left him only in 5th gear.... He's selling his Duc to get a R1 now... Lol. I haven't reach top speed in 6th yet, 193 on the speedo so far.

  • ducati 4 ever

  • impossible i beat a 1198 ducati easy with my R1 2009

    ship vid

  • no suprise there..

  • FORZAAAAAAA DUCATIIIIIIIIIII

  • DUCATI RULES !!!!

  • i'v owned both and there is no comparison Ducati is much more quicker and powerful. i dont know about the new r1 but i still think it cant touch the duc.

  • lmao... the 1098s is not even in the same league of the R1! It's all about the rider! I have a 08 R1 and smoke my friends $20k 1098s bike all the time, and spent not even half what he did! lol. It sure looks pretty in my rear view mirror! ;)~

  • yep i agree. sumfin fishy there, two of my mates have the s models and they whinge because they cant keep up with my zx10r. they even asked the duke dealer y they couldnt beat me n they said, by a kwaka. lol. it was funny

  • @earlmhari smoke him how exactly? Straight line acceleration?

  • the R1 is the bike the rossi never in this world

  • no way....this is fake....ducati is much much slower than r1...

  • ignorant

  • lol?

  • sir you are stuipid sorry for my bed eng

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • i love the R1 its my favorite bike but it just got burnt! :(

  • idk what happened you saw it the R1 got beat but you gotta remember its not always the bike its the rider

  • sorry for you mate but the ducati is better end r1 is god to :D

  • @altsimon1. Hi, I'm the Ducati rider in the video. The 1098 is surprisingly hard to beat off the line because the torque is easier to control than that delivered by most 4 cylinder bikes. Neither of us are professionals in the quarter and really either of us could have one. My buddy and I swap wins all the time on his '08 GSXR 1000.

  • Nonetheless, the low end torque on the Ducati usually dominates any un-stretched bike I race not because my 1098 is actually faster, but because it is easier to ride.

  • If you look up on cycleworld on the internet and find the 1098s with the full termi system they tested. It managed a 9.79 quater mile at 147 mph. Its not all about power. I'm actually considering buying a 1098, i've rode 1198s a 1098 and an 848. I'd like the s model.

  • @kingsbabydj FORZA DUCATIIIIII!!¨FORZA FERRRAI !!!FORZA MADE IN ITALY!!

  • @kingsbabydj nice video man!!!! looked and the new is beast i mean at the 1199

  • That is a silly test if you are trying to evaluate which is the faster bike. When going from a standing start there are too many variables like the riders ability to use the clutch (even if they are pros) which is why when you watch race starts, anyone can get the hole shot... I do know that the 09 R1 will be faster than the 1098 for a fact which only shows how silly this test is.

  • ducati ownage

  • hahaha owned motherfkrs!!! owned!!

Ducati pwns that frekin silly R1 XD!!

    (btw i have a 08 R6 and i love it)

  • the r1 was like a bullet. looks like the 1098 got a head start

  • Bike sounds great. We have so many ducatis around here but the riders never run em hard.

  • I've beaten an 08 1098s on my old 96 ZX9R kwaka, he got me off the start but once I wound out 2 he was behind me. Both very experienced riders also. I'd say that one was down to rider experience. That R1 should have eaten the 1098 unless it is very modified.

  • yeah i have a 2003 748 and me mate has an 1999 R1 so on the straights he slams the crap outta me but thats really all the jap bikes have top end power because of the dry clutch and desmodramatic valve control he doesn't stand a chance on the bends and we swapped bikes aswell to see if it was down to rider skill and admittedly i waz closer to him when we swapped bt still a cuddnt gt the power down to pass him when he waz on my 748 der jst too quick on the revs

  • Hey guys, this is the old R1, right?

  • desmo!!!!!

  • That R1 rider got smoked! R1's are really fast, but the 1098 makes its power early on in the powerband. The 1098 also has more torque to boot. An inexperienced rider on an R1 would be left for dead against a 1098. In the end, its still about rider skill, not the bike.

  • Desmo power for eva!!!

  • I agree! :)

  • Ducati rules the roost... Heh heh heh... i have one myslef.....
