  • There was one level, I think it was in this game, where you had to snowmobile through some arctic cliffs while picking off enemy soldiers. But for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

  • I don't think they're in Kansas anymore.

  • WANT

  • You know, at least their hair could've gotten messed up and fallen down in the battle. That would've looked really nice, don't ya think?

  • 1:01

    "Ow, that hurt."

    No shit xD

  • Excellent game with an unique charisma! Btw. it has a nearly perfect german sync. :)

  • Such a classic fight scene!

    Bring back Cate Archer!!

  • lol Shogo sounds. Because its the smae company. :D

  • @Therealguymins I've never heard of Shogo, but I might as well Search around YouTube for it and hear these sounds for myself....

  • @BloodyBay Type Shogo theme, the game owns.

  • @BloodyBay Shogo was another FPS made by Monolith in 1998. Search for Shogo Mobile Armor Division. It wasn't a big hit.

  • Bring CATE ARCHER back! :(

  • This is a pretty good depiction of Ohio.

  • I remember this, it was awesome at the time

  • This game is old but great...

  • When will people relize that god hates mobile homes its the lost 11th commandment

"thou shalt not make home move!"

  • Come now. A tornado took out the gas station where I used to work...a whole mess of businesses on that block, and the gas station was the only one that got demolished. And that gas station wouldn't move no matter how many wheels you put under it.... ;-)

But yeah, tornadoes do seem to have a particular fondness for double wides for some reason. Maybe mobile homes generate atmospheric low pressure points. I'm sure it has something to do with that cheap siding they use....

  • I'm sad... This is such an awesome game and they won't make a third NOLF... : (

  • Well, for now Monolith is concerned in finishing the F.E.A.R. trilogy. There's a hint that they may make a Shogou 2. They haven't abandoned NOLF 3, they're just busy with other stuff at the moment.

  • really hope they do, but can they really get back into the NOLF series after this many years?

  • they probably will, monolight is doing right now SHOGO 2, after that probably nofl3

  • They just don't make fps like they used to. Everything is a straight-up firefight with muscle-bound aliens or muscle-bound space marine-types.

  • Well, you need not fret with him anymore. There were a thousand diplomatic ways to express his disagreement with your point of view, but instead he chose a cussy, unwarranted flame. So I made him go away. I don't tolerate that kind of behavior on my channel; apologies for not jumping on this a month ago.

And I agree: too many FPS games take themselves too seriously. Maybe that's why I still think well of NOLF 1 and 2 and Blood 2. Personality makes them good.

  • @BloodyBay which is why there is Team Fortress 2

  • I blame Halo ...especially Halo 3.

  • team fortress 2 doesn't take itself seriously, although that's multiplayer. i wouldn't mind if NOLF3 was like it

  • i have played this game a long time ago, and i since love this levels

  • Did you saw this game in a EB Games store recently? I am trying to buy this game in an EB Games store and I can't seem to find one.

  • ...and I'm starting to see WHY somebody spam-flagged your copy-pasted question. Good lord, 60spaure, did you have to paste your question onto ALL my NOLF2 vids?

  • Great memories. Waking up early in the morning a couple of hours before school just to play it. It was the start of this stage too. Had to use the key chain to search around. Damn though, seems like a long time ago since then and thinking about how many games I've gone through since. Wow.

  • you found a crushed cherry blossom

  • Those ninja women carry the funniest things, don't they? :-D

  • i know lol its like you found a piece of used tissue filled with snot. There was also something else that was hilarious but i cant remember what it was...oh well i love this game anyways.

  • This game rocks, partly because of cheats.

  • some cheats are cool, like that one that you have a laugh gas

  • Is this game way better than NOLF 1?

    Because that game is awesome.

  • Graphically better, but I liked the first game a little more.

  • some things i liked better in the first game, but all in all, i liked no one lives forever 2 more

  • I got this today for 50p :)

  • Good bargain, eh? :-)

  • this game rules, and still looks so nice after all these years. i like this engine more than the F.E.A.R one...

  • I thought this game rocked! If only it was made into a movie.

  • HEY, i had the demo and i was on Expert and still beat it! :(

  • Man I played this game so long ago I almost forgot it existed. Awesome :) I remember this part...was annoying...hard to search the bodies quick enough unless you have the upgrade.

  • Believe me, pumping up your search ability really paid off towards the end of the game...especially with the ninja women at the HARM base. Of course, it's also useful for shooting up a few HARM goons, taking all their guns and ammo in minimal time and retreating to cover just before the next wave of their buddies shows up. Because getting caught out in the open mid-search sucks. ;-)

  • hey if any1 wants 2 change there health so it looks different press the +/= key

  • I know. But I like my UID the way it is, with that nice, protective Armor gauge imposed right over my Health gauge (where it belongs).

  • love all ur vids :D

  • Thank you. :-)

  • hey?

did somebody knows how to get in Main records building? in carpter 4

  • Yes. Me. But you probably found out already.

  • bro i have the same problem. If you find out let me know.

I used a cheat code to get in. I dont know how to get there

  • Old records building or the new records building??

  • that looks gay...

you have guns and they have swords :/

  • They have shuriken too. And the strength of numbers. :-p

  • the strength of numbers fail against the strength of bullets LOL

  • Well, technically speaking, the strength of numbers failed against the strength of GREATER numbers. I had more bullets than they had ninjas, you see. ;-)

  • LOL !!

  • this game series is incredibly hard. love all 3 games :P

  • Including Contract JACK? I never got to play that one, but everyone says it was the weakest of the three. What's your opinion?

  • I guess I am just a blind fan. you should only get contract jack if you are a diehard and can forgive alot of things. I am just a fan who wants and loves it.

  • I've never heard anyone admit to that before.

  • hmm I played this chapter :) but very difficult chapter !

  • ah, the simple joys of not torturing oneself by playing on "superspy" difficulty. I've just got through this level on superspy and if you stop for half a second to aim, you're sliced apart by half a dozen shurikens (and crouching = more headshots against you, it seems). not as bad as the neighbourhood run just before, though, with the respawning and all. I don't even want to imagine the mime ambush - I remember taking many, many tries to get through that one even on a lower difficulty.

  • man this brings back some memories...

  • Wow!Wonderful computer game!I love this game, because this is very different other computer games!

  • Thaz my town!

  • Nice username, by the way. You're a really big NOLF fan, I take it. :-D

  • I have BOTH of these and I still play them every couple of years!

    Thanks for the post!

  • i have one question:

With what program did u made those vids?

  • FRAPS.

  • Aye, Fraps. :-)

  • Cool :)

I like this one at first chapter

"My mother said:Poinsion your man every moment he leaves and give him antidotne when he's back home.(i dunno if this is correct version )

That was conversation with 2 ninjans, i think u remember this :D...

    And im waiting for your new vids :}

  • Yea, the cutscenes in this game are totaly cool ;]...

I love your all videos! And thank you again for uploading vids about NOLF2 and Vampire Bloodlines ...

  • You're welcome. And your Everybody's Fool video is good too. I like The Sims 2. :-)

But I hope to crank out another Vampire video or two this weekend; we'll see how they turn out then, I guess.

  • My NOLF 2 game doesnt have sound...just music and thats it.

  • What type of sound card are you using?

  • Do you know how to put NOLF to 3 person shoter.

  • cate archer is soo hot!Thans for puting here this vids about this game!

I will never forget this game!

    NOLF 4 EVER

  • You're welcome. I like the cutscenes in this game, especially the one at the beginning here.

    "Can we postpone this?"

"...yeah, that's a big friggin' tornado coming this way. We'd better get out of here."

Heh...I guess their chat didn't go quite like that, did it? ;-)

  • wait... is all the enimes girls???

  • Yep. Ninja women...kunoichi, if you want to get technical. ;-)

  • Redneck Rampage had the same kind of level, a trailer park with tornadoes and enemies.

  • I saw Redneck Rampage at Wal-Mart years ago, but I didn't think it would be a worthy game to play (seeing as it was on the $10 rack, and I'd already had bad experiences with those $10 games). Was it any good?

  • Absolutely . I bought mine for $10 at Target and it was one of the best cheap pc games I've played. Check out some of the vids here on Youtube.

  • I loved that game, pity that i lost the CD -.-

One question: Are all American houses built like this? I mean, this one is really getting ripped into pieces! Couldn't happen with our solid brick houses in Germany :P

  • Please, keep the irrelevant "my country is better than America" drivel out of my videos. YouTube has enough of that crap as it is.

Remember, this scene takes place in a trailer park. The mobile homes found in trailer parks have a deserved reputation for being flimsy and substandard, and they tend to take more damage from storms and tornadoes than standard houses with solid foundations do.

Hence, many jokes about tornadoes and their apparent hatred for trailer parks abound. :-p

  • It was not my intent to claim my country is better than America - it is surely not.

I do not know a lot about American culture and lifestyle, though, so i didn't know what trailer parks are at all - thanks a lot! :)

  • Oh, I understand now. Apologies for the defensiveness; there seems to be quite a bit of nation-bashing happening on YouTube these days, that's all. :-)

I take it Germany doesn't have trailer parks, but what types of housing does Germany have for low-income families? I imagine these homes aren't constructed nearly as well as the homes available for wealthy people.

And are tornadoes a common problem in Germany too? I just had to ask. :-)

  • No, there are no tornadoes in Germany at all, the only natural disaster which may happen here are... ummm... frost, hail and strong winds, but those are not really dangerous.

    (to be continued...

  • (part 2)

The not-so-wealthy families of Germany live either in small flats (which are paid by the government if no one in the family is employed) or, if they are really, really poor and had to live on the street otherwise, live in houses in which they are granted a free bed, cheap meals and such. The majority of the people with low income, as already mentioned, live in appartements.

    (part 3 coming up next...)

  • (part 3)

It is not very common to live in a trailer - I, for example, do not know of a single case of someone living in a trailer. The only exception is that we Germans are notorious to go on holidays with our caravans ;)

  • can somebody tell me the name of the song at the end of the game i really love it and cant find it anywhere :(((

  • It's just a vocals version of the NOLF theme, IIRC. I don't think any NOLF or NOLF2 soundtracks exist on CD, but I could be wrong.

  • What difficulty setting did you play on? I recall the ninja chicks taking much more of a beating to bring down than in your video, when I played. Ran out of ammo in that part even, if I recall. Had to go ninja right back on them. I think I played on "Hard" but I don't remember.

  • IIRC, I was on Normal because I'm a big wuss. :-)

  • I miss Cate Archer :' [ when are they gonna make a nolf3, got bored of playing the first 2 of the series.

  • Were did they get there inspiration from? the wizard of OZ

  • Hello, Dorothy *wishes* she had a katana to ginsu the hell out of the Wicked Witch. >:-)

  • lol nice showdown!

  • Wow, this definitely looked like an inspiration to RTCW.

  • Except that NOLF2 is an upbeat game set in the 70's, while RTCW is grim and drab and set in the 40's. And Cate Archer doesn't get to shoot up any zombies, skeletons or demonically possessed Nazi women. On the other hand, B.J. Blazcowicz (or however it's spelled) doesn't get to shoot any ninja women or Robbie the Robot clones, so it all evens out. :-)

  • Well, what I meant was that it felt like RCTW repainted with a modern day job and crazier setting.

The death animations, graphics, and guns feel much too similar.

  • I love Cate Archer in that game she is aways humoristic and full of new items

  • NOLF2 had better graphics, but I still prefer the first game. I disliked the endlessly spawning enemies on most of the levels and the fact that you couldn't kill enemies with a single headshot anymore. Even the machine took 4-5 headshots to kill an enemy. I also missed the weapons testing & selection.

  • I didn't have any problem with headshots in NOLF2, but you're right about the ability to select your own weapons before the mission; That helped the first game accommodate various players and their various playstyles (stealther, sniper, run-and-gunner, etc.).

  • NOLF2 also didn't seem to have as much 1960's atmosphere as the first game. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, just not as much as the first game. Fun trivia; The blowtorch is a great way to repel the police in India. It takes quite a bit to kill them, so when cornered, set them on fire and they'll run away. You can do it several times to each cop before they die. :)

  • completely agree,i prefer the first one too. It has better voice acting, better characters (that good "dwarf-general" really annoyed me)", it's much more divert in game areas - space, flying plane, morroco, underwater etc. it's more stealthy because of no respawns, MUCH longer in my opinion... I wasn't even expecting the end of the game when I killed one super trooper while in first one I thought that Safecracker will be the last mission.

  • What I enjoyed here was the graphics and the atmosphere... altough still I think that nothing beats the tense of "A Very Large Explosion" mission where everything is done, UNITY comes to destroy HARM'S fortress and HARM sends their special agents to hunt you down while you escape the fortress on a cablecar

  • You're right. If we take a look at Cate Archer throughout NOLF 1 and 2 it seems that NOLF 2 should be a prequel to the first one. If you compare the models of Cate, in first one she has definately more mature look than in the sequel and i'm not refering only to her appereance but also to her voice and her overall acting... she's like a young child in the sequel. It seems they threw out Mitzi Martin for the sequel and tried to make it more unique... well ok but for the price of beauty:-D

  • to the guy who asked, the reason we didnt got a nolf 3 is becouse people are stupid, and didnt receive this game well (Read didnt make much money for further investiment),they preferede dumb shooters instead.

i still want they to do a nofl 3 but only if they keep the original series quality, and now a days i bet that would be hard since producers want money, but do not give entertaining.

  • im on thi sstage now! its almost impossible on superspy, i just cleared the nolf one on superspy and now im playing this one, those games are a gem!

  • NOLF is the best series ever. Story, gameplay, dialog, graphics, characters, etc. are all perfect. The only problem is NOLF2 is too short, I want more. I really don't understand why they do not have the NOLF3.

Btw, which difficult level are you playing in this video?

  • Normal. I always go middle-of-the-road...not too easy, not too tough.

  • Contract J.A.C.K. is essentially NOLF3. They do need a new Cate Archer game, though.

  • O_O

Jeepers, now that's original. I can see where Quentin Tarantino got part of his idea to make Kill Bill. :D

  • You know what would have made that fight scene with the Bride and the fifty-billion goons even better?

A tornado. Ripping through the room.

    There. I said it. :-D

  • yeah really ay, im gonna download it :P

  • It's hard to believe that this game came out 5 years ago. The graphics and physics are better than a lot of the games we have today.

  • It's simply the most entertaining game I've ever played. This is graphically the best level in the game. But as a level in terms of gameplay its possibly the worst - it's far too difficult on the higher settings.

  • That blue car looks like a Dodge Polara! heh..

  • I love this game. I should play it again. Nice video, thanks for sharing. :)

  • You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words. :-)

Now that I've beaten the game again, I think I'll be trying NOLF2's PvP again before going back to Vampire. I used to get kicked around by someone called "Heywood Jablomi", and he always picked the Russian pilot skin. Eventually I got used to the fact that he was going to kill me no matter what, so I started playing the killer mime. Might as well give him a big, goofy target to shoot. ;-)

I wonder if he's still around.

  • The best levels in this game. Oh and the physics in this game are actually rather limited. Most of the stuff being blown around like the trailer rolling around or the mobile home being ripped apart when you're fighting Isako are keyframed. There are a few wind volumes you can jump into to get blown for a short distance though.

  • And did you see me ride the wind twice in that video? Just jump up onto any car and jump again. It's easy. :-)

  • Yes I saw. :) This was a cool video and thanks for sharing it.

  • Thank you. And you're welcome. :-)

I had posted another comment before that one (about the scripted events in this stage), but it seems to have vanished into the ether. Hmmm.

That first wind ride in the video was fun. I tilted the view straight down just to show the people watching this video "Look, there's the ground, down there, and I'm up here riding the wind." Then suddenly I saw the two shuriken pass underneath me, and I thought "That's it. This video's a keeper." ;-)

  • Oh, don't worry. There are PLENTY of ninjas in the world; If anything, this video is simple population control. The ninja are peerless predators who hunt in packs, and only the predations of pirates and superspies--the ninja's only natural enemies in the wild--can keep their numbers in check, lest the ninja overgraze the tofu fields and trigger a widespread tofu famine. Which would be bad.

  • To be honest i loved every single thing about this game. Very funny things like "come back you capitalist pig, great graphics, gameplay, and oh so original. Wish they'd release another.

  • there's 2 twisters

  • No, I think there's only one. It may just seem like there are two because the funnel somehow changes positions; During the trailer park battle itself, the funnel's beyond the fence which is next to the tumbling Airstream trailer. But during the cutscene with the display home going airborne, the funnel magically appears somewhere behind the display home, which is on the other side of the trailer park. Maybe the tornado's a "leaper". :-?

  • Random thought: I'd still like to know how Cate survives the inevitable descent from the tornado funnel. Maybe she has a debris-resistant umbrella too. And it's a good thing the house never tumbles upside-down while it's being tossed around in the tornado funnel, eh? ;-)

  • One of my favourite parts in one of my favourite games!

    Great upload!

  • It's my favorite part too; The heavy atmosphere of the Antarctica base comes close, but all the "special effects" in the Akron stage are perfect. Whether you're man or woman, you have to have some pretty huge balls to be running around outside when there's a force of nature coming down on you. :-)
