  • I love how everyone thinks God bent to the will of Geass. God CREATED Geass, so naturally he is immune to the Power of the Kings. However, Geass can be used to commune with God, so God heard his wish, and decided to aid him. The very idea that God could be killed to begin with is preposterous, anyway.

  • Charles should have realized his son would have been able to succeed. Either he let him or he just doesn't know what his own son, Lelouch, is capable of. I had no doubt in my mind Lelouch was going to kill Charles when I first watched this anime but I didn't know he would do something like this! ALL HAIL LELOUCH!

  • He didn't control god, he asked him/them a "wish". C's world is the will of mankind, Lelouch's triumphs Charles will, therefore they granted his "wish".

  • Commoners < Nobility < Royality < God < Lelouch

    That about right?

  • 3;49 OMG <3

  • Does anyone know what the track is beginning at 2:55?

  • what power does his second geass have that is so different to his first

  • this scene is so dramatic..

  • is it just me or does it look to me like lelouch could have done the exact thing charles tried to do...by himself o.o

  • This is the part of the series where they directly say they took the plot of Instrumentality from Evangelion. XP

  • People who constantly argue that Lelouch is not dead, I think this scene proves it all. The Code is lost with Charles, Lelouch obviously did not get it and Lelouch was able to use his Geass after this scene.

Not to mention, Lelouch did not kill Charles, not directly anyway, the collective unconsciousness, God, did, so there was no way Lelouch could get the Code.

I like Lelouch, and don't wish for his death, but reality must be accepted.

  • @DanteLovesPizza I saw a really nice explanation that he is alive. Though ima shorten it a bit.

When Charles grabbed Lelouch he told Suzaku not to interfere. That way when Charles died his code passed onto Lelouch, but it was unactivated. It activated when Suzaku stabbed him.Just like the Charles's.Then when Lelouch Memories passed onto Nunally it activated. He can still use his Geass beacuse he didn't receive C.C.'s code, rather Charles's.Therefore Lelouch has acheived CODE-GEASS

    PM me for more

  • @kularulz

The problem is, under what conditions can the Code be taken? There is no specification, the conditions of dying, touching etc are of mere audience speculation.

And the biggest problem with that argument is that, if those speculations were true, Charles would definitely know, seeing as he took it from V.V., do you think he would make the one who denies and kills him, immortal?

If anything, he would prevent Lelouch from getting it by escaping.

    Logic failure.

  • @kularulz

I don't know what your point about Nunally is and how it ties in, but calling it passing memories is far too exaggerating.

And I think the most convincing argument would be, the writers state it. The credibility of creators/authors in this case is 100%, i.e. there is no ground for argument really.

And on a side note, I am not a fan of PMs.

  • @DanteLovesPizza

Well in truth the authors left viewers to interpret ending in their own way. I think this one has happy end for me, so I agree with it.

  • @kularulz

Yeah, they say they left it, but in an interview, if I remember right, they did say what they had in mind, was Lelouch is dead, but because so much fans have started to pick up the idea that he isn't based on the ambiguity in interpreting the scenes, the authors said to leave it for the audience.

  • lelouch ordered god what to do... wish I had geass

  • Comment removed

  • checkmate, god!

  • BEST SCENE EVER

  • Did so0meone order a ham?

  • All hail the emperocket!!

  • Why must everything potentially lethal be pink?

The sparkles on Marianne and Charles, F.L.E.I.J.A., liquid sakuradite...Euphie...

  • @SpyderRyder3600 you never see it coming until its too late?

  • @SpyderRyder3600 Not everything lethal is pink. ORAAANGE!!!

  • @YorkJonhson haha, good point :P

  • they're killing god with dead bodies?! wtf?!

  • "The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed." XD

  • Man... Lelouch's mom is hot.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song when Lelouch takes off the contact? it isn't in the OSTs.

  • I wonder where Charles code went, did it just vanish?

  • @kurarisachan around lelouche's neck :D

    ALL HAIL LELOUCH

  • 0:59

does that line seem to connect to cc in any way?

    i think it does x3

  • Has anyone found out the name of the song that is played at 2:55 yet?

  • @5000miner I don't think it's in the soundtrack. What a pity. It's so awesome.

  • I searched the music of the beginning for a long time but I never found it. I think it doesn't exist in soundtrack. Pity!

  • So does anyone know the name of the song that plays right at the start of the video?

  • Tell me the soundtrack at 3:54 aswell... plz...

  • @AAAAHHHHRRRR Siegfried

  • What is the name of the soundtrack that starts at 2:55?

  • I'm sorry, but the part at the end:

    "Yea, Lelouch is Euphy's murderer."

    "And what of it?"

    LOL! XD

  • @Naioki4 i want to be like "uh, no, the correct answer is 'it was an accident.' what is wrong with you, son?"

  • He didn't Geass God. Wakamoto is immune.

  • Lelouch told god what to do, motherfucking yes.

  • @Alundr2 HE'S SUCH A BRO

  • @Alundr2 Just goes to show how badass he really is to be able to tell God what to do.

  • Now realize that LELOUCH DID NOT TAKE CHARLES CODE. Also, if he did, he would lose his power of geass, which he used later. GG, Lelouch is dead.

  • @benben829 u cant be 100% sure about that, the people we have seen lose their codes are the crazy nun from c.c.'s past and v.v.

the recipients of the codes were ppl who gained their geass from said code holder so there is a possibility that he got charles code at some later point

    and survived

anyway just let ppl dream of a happy ending where lelouch survived dont crush their hopes with ur beliefs

  • @benben829 Yes but we cant be sure because Charles got both his Geass and Code from V.V. thats why he couldnt keep both but if Lelouch managed to take Charles's Code (V.V.'s Code) then maybe he was able to keep both because he took his Geass from C.C.. So maybe someone is able to have both Code and Geass if he gets each from differrent person. :)

Of course no one can tell for sure if this is true...

  • @benben829 really!!! if you get code, you lose your power. Okay then, how did charles use his geass on nanally and lelouch,

  • @civilizationsss That was before he got his code. He obtained his code when he killed V.V. at the twilight gate.

  • The funniest scene in this thing is this. Where suzaku says " so he murdered euphy"

And Lelouche is like "what of it" that was so epic. XDXD

  • @lolbrandon777666 I'm saying. Didnt expect Lelouch to say that XD Harsh.

  • hmm just wondering about the music that starts at 2:56... Is it in the OST cuz I cant find it anywhere ... if someone knows, please tell me that would be appreciated :)

  • Now that I rewatch this, did Lelouch just mind crush his parents?

  • Comment removed

  • I love code geass's story. its so epic, short and even intense. They kill alot of people off fast and its just awesome!

  • charles "noise" at 3:04 lmfao

  • @fanboy11 yeah first time I heard that I had to listen it 10 times before continuing the episode hahah xD

  • damn you just can't compare this with narutos storyline.. this is kinda.. blah.. narutos storyline is so submersive and deep. I don't understand jack about this man.

  • @SuperNumber19 how is narutos story line better than this? it aint deep at all evrybody knows whats gonna happen

  • @negima114 well I rather watch something where everyone knows what happens next, with a indulging storyline than this 25th place piece of shit. I mean wtf! he does'nt even try to get strong did the creators like were on drugs creating this shit? an eyeball that makes people do his bidding? that's fucking ridiculous.. and if everyone knows what happens next.. why is it so popular than this crock of bullshit? just saying. fanboy.

  • @SuperNumber19 and and a lil homelessboy that never shuts up about being hokage and cant even see when a girl likes him and only manages to survivehis fight right when hes about to die and should be dead and fyi its not his eyeball don it but ya narutos cool to each his own i guess

  • @SuperNumber19 Naruto sucks. At least Code Geass knows when to end already.

  • The point is not about war and peace. The thing I agree with from the series, is that, future is hope, if you don't have any goal, if you have nothing to look forward to, then life would be totally meaningless. Charles' vision of the world is that of a moot pointless world, where nothing happens.

  • @MeercatMonstro Exactly. Charles was going to "change the very nature of Humanity by force". And "a good forced on others is no different than evil", as declared by Lelouch, and rightfully so. Schneizel was going to force Humanity into submission with Damocles and FLEIA. Lelouch left Humanity in its own hands, he didn't force his good upon others, he gave them the opportunity to use it to their greatest means, something Charles and Schneizel couldn't manage with their erroneous ways.

  • @MeercatMonstro Though I agree with your view on Humans themselves, Humans, people are easily led. All it takes it a little push in the right direction to change things. Yes, we as Humans, are the most violent race on this planet. That is a great truth that many struggle to come to terms with. However, Lelouch managed to push Humans in the right direction, of only a little. By doing what he did, Lelouch showed people what the wold could be like if they wanted it to be like that, Unlike his kin.

  • Comment removed

  • @MeercatMonstro I quote from Code Geass:

"What is the need of a collective body's military?" Lelouch removed the military, and therefore the means to go to war. Though it is true that people can rebuild those means of war, there is a higher chance of that never happening again that of war re-emerging. Why? Because so many view war as a hateful, pride less, negative thing. People would, as Humans, want to protect themselves, others, and their world from further wars.

  • @MeercatMonstro The conclusion of Lelouch's world had no wars. There was no longer any need for war after what he did. The only problem was Shneizel was left behind in his wake. If Lelouch had destroyed the entire royal family, then there would be nobody to take command of the world. Then, Humans could govern themselves. That is what the future is about. Lelouch was the one who got closest to that conclusion, as Charles and Shneizel would be in charge of their own worlds. One, rather than many.

  • @MeercatMonstro If someone is to govern Humans, then they should at least be the same as the Humans themselves, so therefore, Human. Charles was no longer Human when he gained V.V's code, and Shneizel, in terms of heart was no longer Human. What did Suzaku and Lelouch say about being Japanese? It was about the "heart". The same can apply to being Human. If you don't have a Human heart, then you aren't Human. Lelouch, on the other hand, was in fact Human. He wanted the future, as Humans do.

  • @MeercatMonstro Didn't Charles and Shneizel do the same? Taking 1/3 of the world for themselves? Wasn't the original "Conquest of Areas", as I call it just the meaningless culling of millions from all over the world? Though Brittania made peace with some of the EU, there were still so many killed without meaning by the other two. Lelouch wasn't the worst, they were at least all equal. Think of what Shneizel was planning. "To teach Humans a lesson", isn't dictatorship viewed as injustice?

  • @MeercatMonstro But wasn't it Suzaku who killed Lelouch? So, wouldn't that make murder justice? The murder you deemed as evil. Didn't Lelouch murder thousands of people to reach his goal, meaning that his murders were justice. He therefore did the right thing.

  • @MeercatMonstro And don't "tyrants" abuse their power for their own means? Lelouch abused his power, granted. However, he abused his power with Nunally, his friends, and the world in mind. Therefore, he used his power for good means. The only problem with this is what he says in this video; "forcing good on others is no different to evil". But what if that "evil" is unanimously viewed as a good deed? If it makes people happy, isn't that justice? Isn't fighting to make people happy justice?

  • If you haven't watched Code Geass, you haven't watched ANIME!

  • this is my favorite episode

because they made a great team

oh by the way I have a name for them

    they are *code geass rangers*

    nice name no?

  • One of the most epic scenes from Code Geass!

  • @MeercatMonstro Sometimes, the only way to resolve a problem is to force that resolution on others forcefully. That is why Lelouch used Geass. You could even say that is the way to bring about revolutions, by forcing that revolution on others. Lelouch is more a pioneer of peace than anything else. The 'Revolutioniser', so to speak.

  • What music is playing around 0:02 ? I can't find it anywhere.

  • Now Lelouch has his geass and his father's code ( immortality).

That's why at the end Lelouch is still alive. That's why the show is called Code Geass.

    :D Yay Lelouch!

  • i just realized but.. lelouch's tears disappears when he is grabbed by charles O.o man his tears dry up fast...

  • what song is that at 2:54?

  • but it seems funny face makes leloch logo newgrouds the time 5:14 to 5:54

    angry lelouch >:(

  • While a time has another code geass goes from being an innocent anime calmp, an attempt to get the same suspense and intentions of neo genesis evangelion

  • Japanese is always better

  • Comment removed

  • @MidoriGa95

CC is the immortal chick that gave lelouch the geass. shes the one with green hair :D

  • What the music called that plays at the begining?

  • What's the difference between his old and new geass?

  • I think that when the geass moves to both eyes it gets stronger or some junk like that :/

  • ooohh wait! i remember nowz!, when ya have geas on both eyes you become immortal :D

  • Once he has the geass in both eyes, he can now kill CC and become immortal.

  • @Skelotubbie No,he has to be killed to be immortal

  • He an NOW fully gain control of his geass, you can use it on like, the whole world or something xD

And he hasthe power to kill his prossecor, *C.C*

  • What essentially happened was that he gained the ability to control his geass where as before he couldn't.

  • @chocoissablify They dont have a difference but the new one was a result of the Geass evolving

  • By the way... Has anyone played resident evil 4? Looky at lelouch's eyes, looky at the occult symbols in re4, or in that graveyard and church in re4, notice any correlation?

  • The sword if Akasha is actually 2 pillars of shit

  • I'm going to mention something I've never seen anyone else ever mention about this episode: is it just me, or does Marianne look like she's in orgasm when the Sword of Akasha activates?

  • @OmegaX9 yep. She has mega-orgasm when it comes.

  • Just epic *-*

  • wait, why did c's world devour charles and marianne

  • In nightmare of nunnally Lelouches parents were not that crazy, when Nunnally didn't like the idea they calmly dissapeared.

  • wow this may piss lelouch off but marianne is hot 0_0

  • in the last episode when c.c. is talkin to lelouch, it is pressumedthat she is talking to lelouch through C's world the same way c.c. sometimes did with marianne. (the scenes where c.c. looks like she is talking to someone but no one is there). I dont think lelouch inherited Charles code, he said that he needed to die so the world would experience a time of peace.(everyones hate is concentrated on one person+ person is killed = no more hate)

  • Lelouch's chaos + His death = World peace and cooperation.

  • @xRogueGeassx im not sure and i had a reason but i cant thhink of it now

  • no offence, but you probably should hav remembered it BEFORE you comment, it doesnt look good for you when you post a pointless comment like this.

im not trying ot be mean or anything but honestly............. yeh=P

  • lelouch did die

its just that the fathers geass is named "rise of dead" well something like that

  • I was crying with Lelouch when he was crying. His speech is so powerful.

  • @solopy567 crybaby lol

  • @solopy567 the lelouchobama

  • WOOHOO!! The asshole's gone!!

  • duz this meen lelouch diddnt sctualy die in the end? cuz i was told that if you have 2 geass and you arn't insane and you kill someone with geass yyou will be immortal

  • Er... no, not really. 2 Geass sigils only means the Geass user has reached the point where he could inherit a Code, but Lelouch didn't inherit Charles' Code, as he was confirmed to have been killed in the last episode.

  • and the fact that he used geass in the next episode also proves it

  • @HeliostheFlarestorm Actually, that neither proves nor disproves it. Supposedly a Code will not activate until a person has died, so until then Lelouch was free to use Geass. However, given the length of time Nunnally spent crying over his body in comparison to Charles' death and rebirth either Lelouch did die or he's an even better actor than we think.

  • 5.34 EMPEROCKET!

  • @NickStedmon

    3

    2

    1

    FIRE! EMPEROCKET! LAUNCH OFF!

  • @NickStedmon LOL!!@#!%

  • ALL HAIL LELOUCH!

  • c)prequel of c.c. charles v.v.

  • umm...dude charles didn't die, he was absorbed in the world of C, lelouch never killed him... dumbasses

  • yep and thats how he DIED.He was decomposed by the world of C.

The Human Instrumentaly project >>>> This.

  • well it depends on your definition of die, and it might as well be, point taken, but lelouch didn't do anything directly

  • When he goes

    BEGONE

    thats win

  • 5:32 PSYCHO CRUSHER!

  • IF Lelouch is actually immortal and ditched Vi Britania and change he's name again to Lamperouge he can be L2. I do believe that the writers set it up so you could choose whether he is dead or alive. I think he's alive but thats just me

  • further proof that Lelouch can do anything.

  • Charles put the Geass Mark on his neck.

Also, this is my favorite part of the whole show, I loved this scene.

  • I have question for the fans what would be best ?

    a) a third season set a couple of years after

    or

    b) another code geass storyline with different characters who use geass and have there own wars to fight

  • As long as Lelouch is somehow resurected, im ok for option A.

    LelouchXC.C. ftw.

  • Is that the most logical and reasonable pairing? 'Cause I see LelouchxKallen quite a bit even though LelouchxCC seems more logical and acceptable.

  • as for what i want, it would A....As for what is most likely and probably for the best is B

I think there is a high possibility that there will be a next series whether it be related to the previous 2 or a completely different story.. Sunrise of all companies will not allow the Code geass franchise to die without milking it for all the money they can get lol:D so dont worry we will be seeing more geass

  • 3:04

    WAHKUA

  • what is the song from 2:55- 3:53

  • 2:02 OBJECTION

  • Favorite episode of Code love the philosophy and complexity of the series only masters can make such things entertaining. If only there were a third season :(

  • unfortunately, They called episode 50 FINAL TURN.

    But I'd welcome a spin-off or a prequel.

  • i agree 100 %

  • he died cause he planned everyone to hate him so when he was gone they could focus on rebulding for the future nunally was no longer is only concern

  • You only lose your Geass when you get your Code from the same person who gave you the Geass.

    E.G.

C.C. got the Geass and Code from the nun. So she loses her Geass.

Charles got the Geass and Code from V.V. So he loses his Geass.

Lelouch got his Geass from C.C., but his Code from Charles.

The title is called Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion because Lelouch is the only person that has achieved Code and Geass at the same time.

  • so if Lelouch got his Code, the one that bestows immortality, then he is probably not dead after all?

  • No, he's not dead.

  • people...he's dead....the author even stated it himself...he's dead....dead as he can be...

  • Again, baseless crap.

It truly amazes me how dearly you want your precious Lelouch to be alive when word of god says he's dead.

And, also, take this into consideration. Say he -did- get a Code. That would entirely invalidate his sacrifice. His death brought peace. If he just gets up and lives a carefree life with C.C. while his friends suffer, he's just an irredeemable bastard.

  • Everyone BELIEVES he is dead.

It bought peace, why would his friends be suffering?

And in Code Geass, immortality is a bad thing. The nun and C.C. really wanted to die. So Lelouch had to "pay the price" by being immortal.

  • Believes? When his death was televised across the world? I would also dive into how he would have revived if he had a Code, but, hey, he didn't.

Even if he was immortal, he'd hardly suffer as much as the sister and CC did, because he has CC. He's just faking his death to run off with her, which is selfish beyond belief, renders his sacrifice moot, and destroys his image of being a bringer of peace and instead replaces it with one who brought it about for his own gain and no-one else's.

  • Do you even know what the Code is? The Code is the high regeneration power (immortality) that CC , the nun and Charles had. It is activated when the user dies.

If Lelouch didnt fake his death, eventually the whole world will rebel against him. So, he did kinda do it for his own gain.

  • Er, yes. If Lelouch had it, it would have activated when he was run through with a sword or when he was taken to be buried/cremated/have his remains desecrated, whatever.

And, well, he died proper, so that statement's redundant.

  • Idisagree I believe that if he ran off with CC he would help keep CC sane and satisfied with immortality even though he wanted death. Also it makes sure that no one will ever get geass.

  • ...To keep her sane? She lasted hundreds of years without him before he even existed, she wasn't completely psychotic or even the slightest bit mad when the series started.

  • @IamNotGangster If Lelouch had the code, then he would have the Geass symbol on his body, no? Then tell me, where is it? And HOW did he get his code from Charles?

  • i get why he has to kill Charles... what i don't get is that he lied to Suzaku about Nunnally..?

  • Begone! xD that was fast

  • I see your point

  • Lelouch can only take the code of the one who granted him Geass, which is C2. coz she said in one ep that in the final stage of geass he obtains the power to kill her thus forcing him into her 'hell of eternity' as he put it. it's not a coincidence if you have a Code you can not die you have to make a 'contract' with someone and when they reach a certain point they can kill you and take your Code.

    ~this is what I believe~

  • Well if he can kill C2 then he can probably kill any immortal being and get their code because remember what Charles had said that he couldve killed C2 as well in one of the episodes and Marian had complained about C2 not giving her code to Charles earlier in the episode that has this so I think that anyone with the final stage of geass can kill an immortal being like V2 and C2 so that they can gain their immortal code

  • Lelouche has risen to an entirely new level. He commanded GOD!!!!!!

  • Lelouch moves way too damn much.

  • /I\ /\/\ /\ /\/O/\/

  • The fact that Charles stole a code, and C.C. had her code forced on her means that the transfer process must be physical and has nothing to do with what you want.

  • Killing someone is not how you take their code. You only think that because in the series everyone that loses their code dies, but that is just a coincidence. The viewers are not privy to the code transfer process but it has nothing to do with death. V.V. dies because Charles takes his code when he is heavily injured from an explosion. The nun dies because she kills herself after forcing her code on C.C.

  • Lelouch is a total bad ass. He used his geass on GOD!!!
