  • You buy a "Macbook" on Ebay.

You receive it.. its a fake one.

Ebay ask you to re-send the fake one and they will give you a real one.

Ebay send you a Fake one.

    The end.

  • lmfao

  • 1:50 appreciating your face?

  • This is why I always cash in, after the customer has sent payment, all details of the machine is recorded and if it's geniunely faulty and not tampered, then an extange, refund or a repair is offered, however, if they are trying to scam me by sending back a tampered laptop or not the one originally sent to them, then they are not getting a penny from me, nor are they getting the laptop back simple.........FIGHT BACK AGAINST EBAY SCAMMING

  • -_-

  • So i sold this gameboy advance, was in perfect condition, showed pics of it working and yada yada yada, i have a 100% feedback rating, its been a week since gameboy was delivered and this lady is saying the gameboy shuts down and turns on its own? I know she's gonna ask for cash back but how do i go about solving this problem i know this lady is lying!

  • @pablo3264 , ask her to send the item back for an exthange or refund if obligated to, make sure it's the original one you sent her, test it for yourself, find out everything, if she is lieing and refuse to send it back or says she sent it back but you didn't recieve it, ask her for a copy of the receipt with tracking and transaction number, do not co-operate with scammers, be smart.

  • I am an eBay Top-Rated Seller, and the way to avoid this scam is to cover up one of the screw holes with a sticker from a retail store (that can't be removed and reattached since they have small slits in the paper). Then these scumbag parts swappers can't take an item apart, and then send it back as "broken" for a refund. I also note on the invoice that the removal of the sticker voids any guarantees or warranties. Sometimes I also note the serial number on the invoice too. It has worked for me.

  • @jimbotuna Wow, that is a fantastic idea! I'll make sure to do that in the future, assuming I go back to using eBay again. Lately I've been selling everything via Amazon and so far that experience has been vastly superior and more profitable.

  • @jimbotuna I discovered Amazon about three years ago, and it's way easier to use than eBay. You also don't get questions such as "what color is that black purse you are selling?". There are, though, scammers on there as well. People buy things and claim they don't work, and want a refund (since Amazon has the "A to Z Guarantee"). I always call their bluff, and tell them to send the original item or items back for a refund, of course at their cost. Often times, I do not hear back from them again.

  • Sucks bro :(

  • go see your solicitor

  • Also I would NEVER sell anything over $100 on Ebay it just ain't worth the headaches

  • 1. pause the video.

    2. make a new tab

    3. /watch?v=PKUDTPbDhnA

    4. close the tab from the video above ^

    5. watch this video.

    6. Laugh.

  • @alexmacabees14 Lmaooo xD That Messs Up

  • If you make them pay with a postal M/O there is no dispute to be made...

  • @PeterParkerisded You are an idiot.

  • if your selling something on ebay

its going to need alot of pictures, alot of detail, possibly a video. no returns /refunds and buyer pays for shipping no matter what.

having a lawyer ready to go on your side in-case something happens is probably a good idea

  • I bought something off ebay for the first time, the girl has already sent it out and everything but i am still very nervous! After my order arrives i think im going to cancel my account with ebay. Im still a little scared of amazon and i LOVE amazon lol

  • I had this happen to me!

guy bought a brand new electronic auto part, did a pay pal claim and returned it to me and they took the money back out of my account.

I called pay pal and raised a 3 day stink, literally had my lawyers online with me!

in the end I got my money back plus the part!

resold the part for more money and received pos feedback!

most of the time pay pal/ebay never listen!

  • Same shit happened to me. I was so fucking pissed! This is the reason i stopped having a return policy on my items.

  • @Richurro No returns doesn't exist trust me. They can still file a claim and you have no choice to accept it back. Ebay is siding with the buyers and sellers are getting raped every day.

  • ebay is heaven for scammers. i hate ebay.

i got scammed $336 for selling item to some country in the middle east, azerbajijan or something.

  • I had an Ebay seller almost rip me off on one occasion.I was trying to buy some scanner crystals for my police scanner and he advertised a big sack of them showing a photo of a big bag of them. Also his advertising words seemed to display what the photo depicted. When I received it in the mail,it was a small sack with 6 useless crystals inside. It also looked like it was packed by a psycho.I went through the roof and bothered him with messages until I got my money back.I was upset.

  • asses probably had the same model and swapped the mother boards

  • @cblazer Bingo! This guy swapped mobos! That is why I do not take returns on my electronic items. It's best to sell high priced items on Craigslist. Ebay will side with the buyer almost every time. Even when the buyer's intention is to rip you off. I had a guy try and rip me off for a $25 DLC code on eBay. He used the code and then said it did not work. He then tried to get another one or a full refund. Too bad for him he slipped and I caught him in a lie with the email he sent me!

  • I was in simmilar spot as u were m8. This is not the first time it happened to me so everytime i list anything i will take pictures of it and document carefully a condition. Last time i sold my lens on ebay a buyer tried to claim 100% and leave me with a broken lens. I have appealed from ebay decision and won it.

  • Seems like the buyer harvested your mac for parts, then added dead parts to yours and sent it back to you.

    Sorry to hear about this.

  • @urliberation that is a common laptop scam:-)

  • @girlmastergeneral I sold my used laptop on ebay in 2008, i took MANY pics of it and had a video of it booting up and the computer properties, processor, ram, hard drive, etc. also a very detailed description. and since i only sold to verified US addresses and only sent to those addresses & said so in my ad. and i did have a couple buyers try to scam me but ebay sided with me all the time due to my very detailed description AND the video...which was posted in the ad. Piece O' Cake.

  • i just had the same thing done to me today from a guy in florida.

  • Give us his adress we can troll him

  • Did you pay him back?

  • Quite off putting isn't it when you consider selling on eBay. Then again buyers do get scammed too.

  • That is so sad... I am sorry for you bro :(

  • The problem is with eBay and the scammers leaching off legitimate buyers and sellers.

  • This is why you record EVEYTHING you do on ebay for proof

  • Hey I sold a 250.00 brand name bracelet and go a 4 dollar knock off back. That sucked. They told me it was my word against his/hers. Besides 3 years worth of almost flawless ratings. Flea Bay poops on their sellers and buyers get away with start up business murder.

  • ebay is going down fast

  • @Mrfdsa1 , unfortuntly, it seems they are making more money lately during the recession period, 2009 was their worse year due to the scam alerts on television watchdog programs from britain and america and moving luxembourg didn't help them.

  • Parts replaced with broken parts?

  • @ChronicFatigueSyn You can't, but I didn't. I also have communication from him verifying that the laptop was received working but then mysteriously broke a few weeks later.

  • @ChronicFatigueSyn He swaps the working motherboard for a broken one, returns for a refund, sells the working motherboard for a few hundred. No proof that's what he did, but that's my best guess.

  • @PeterParkerisded Well, to be fair, the battery was charged AND there were screws missing from the exterior of the laptop; never a good sign. I did quite a bit of diagnostics on the computer after the video, and the only way I could fix it was to replace the motherboard.

  • @VideoScenario I really do think that eBay still would have wanted me to give him a full refund. They really seem to hate sellers on that site now.

  • A very simple piece of advice from one eBay seller to another..

DON'T offer refund until fault diagnosis is complete...

  • @briandecree I definitely didn't offer a refund, and this video was part of my fight against eBay to avoid them forcing me into giving a refund. Evidently it helped, because they did not force me to provide the buyer a refund as they had originally stated they would. Though, unfortunately, eBay themselves paid the buyer back, so he kinda won. At least I didn't lose though.

  • The easiest way to fake this whole video is by using a 2 foot piece of packing tape that you appear to be opening for the first time...

Why would you record the opening of a returned eBay item otherwise?? it's ridiculous...

  • @briandecree Read the comments and you will be enlightened as to why I posted this video . . .

  • Why are you posting this???

There is no way of verifying this video....

Why did I just watch this epic whinge??

  • @briandecree I don't know why anyone watches this. As I've stated numerous times, this video was intended as evidence for eBay to review since I felt this was a fraudulent return by a scam buyer.

  • SWOPPED THE MOTHERBOARD HAVENT THEY

  • @abusebay I never could tell what he did. I saw lots of obvious signs that someone had been inside the case itself, and I was able to get the laptop working again by putting in a new motherboard, so it's a good bet that he did indeed swap the motherboard.

  • did you ever get your money back?

  • @moonlightkisu eBay decided that, as the seller, I was not required to give the buyer a refund, but they did give him a refund themselves, out of eBay's pocket. So, I suppose it was the best outcome I could hope for, but I feel bad that eBay had to take the brunt of such an obvious scam.

  • This Guy sold it, and it was returned by the buyer, tampered

  • no sympathy especially if you played below value which would lead me to believe you did if you were too cheap to buy from an apple store

everybody thinks they're getting a treasure find on eBay, remember eBay is about people trying to get rid of their stuff for a reason LOL

  • @VideoScenario They did; when something doesn't work, it's bricked.

  • @chickenttt LOLz. Well, I didn't have the original box anymore, but I did have a Dell box that fit perfectly so I could use the foam padding protection. Figured it was better than a box that didn't fit properly.

  • why didnt you just buy a laptop in a store..

  • @guitarbridgecleaner I deleted them, to save you the embarrassment I've already dealt with your infinite stupidity.

  • said by you, with my minor corrections to your poor spelling of words.

Dude, you are crazy, period. Your videos, even more crazy.

For someone that doesn't like eBay or Paypal you sure do like talking about them a lot. If you didn't like em, you wouldn't make stupid slow nutcase rant videos about them. If you truly didn't like them, you wouldn't even mention them, ever.

  • @guitarbridgecleaner When you buy these types of items on ebay you take a chance.

A direct quote from you. BUY, not sell....

  • @guitarbridgecleaner um. retard. He didn't buy the item. He sold it, and had it returned to him saying it was broken 6 weeks after the auction with the winner demanding a refund. Did you even watch the video? Grow a brain. Or go grow a money tree to get enhancements for said small brain.

  • no wonder it was broken the mac didnt like to be shiped in a dell box i would be pissed if i was tht mac

  • @mxslugger27 Serious LOL. Maybe I did indeed anger the Apple shipping gods.

  • @PeterParkerisded The battery was charged he check with the little LEDS on the battery.

  • did you buy it new or used?

  • @micTaconator watch the video again, or better yet read his comments, cause obviously you are that stupid to realize what he said.

  • @micTaconator I sold it, used.

  • Amazon is better

  • I don't trust ebay .... go to amazon ...

  • I got fucked by a buyer today dang_it1 something. I sold her a working dvd then this bitch claim it had a dent. She didnt say it didnt work yet ebay gave her money back from me and she still have the working dvd player. Im done with ebay.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm in a similar scam situation right now =(

  • did you get anything after this video, from ebay?

  • @Konstiin Actually yes, eBay closed my case by refunding the buyer but NOT making me pay for it. So, in the end, I retained the money and the broken laptop. I later opened it up and tried to figure out what all he had swapped or broken, but all I could tell was that the motherboard was not working at all (so maybe that's what he swapped). Inside the case there were even more screws missing and pieces of tape misplaced and missing; very obvious someone had been poking around.

  • @StealthSabre thats messed up man

  • @StealthSabre did ebay ask you to pay them to pay them as they dont give out free money

  • @dman15333 Originally, before I made this video, eBay did expect me to provide the refund. However, they later changed their mind and refunded the buyer without charging me anything. Not so sure that counts as "free money" as much as it was a way for them to try to keep both me (the seller) and the buyer happy. They never did explain what made them change their decision, though I suppose making this video didn't hurt.

  • @StealthSabre i say they didnt refund the buyer or got the funds back

  • @StealthSabre this case shows ebay is not save as they claim to be. ebay had no choice but to settle both buyer and seller,

  • all u dumbasses that keep gettting scammed on ebay get a attorney or sumthin and sue ebay for lettin all this scams happn its not that hard

  • @FrvrCwbyF You expect to get an attorney and go to court with one of the biggest richest online buisinesses ever?

    Good luck...

  • Thats a load of crap he obviously took it apart and probly switched parts or the housing so the serial numbers match. Its called a "bait & switch" you take something 2003-2006 buy the 2011 then return the 2003-2006 get your $ back and keep the 2011 for free

  • Well you might as well stop crying about it you have no proof so therefore you will lose.

  • So it took the guy six weeks to notice it wax broke? eBay suck cock

  • so you get a broken laptop and just happen to open the box with the cam on and sir you were way too cool about it i would have opend it saw that it waz a scam and been pissed FAKE

  • @skiddler777 Well, this video was only ever intended to be used as evidence to eBay to prove my previous claims to them that this guy was scamming me and broke the laptop. I actually expected the laptop to arrive in much worse condition, based on my previous conversations with the scammer. I suppose it's a testament to how crappy eBay has become that almost 3,000 people have viewed this video since it is rather boring and wasn't meant for public consumption ;-)

  • @StealthSabre

i think next time when u ship out make a vid so when they break it u will have proof that u did not broke it n u will get ur refund

  • @StealthSabre *shoots you for not unboxing mac compute instead*

  • Ebay is just like the legal justice system, the accuser is presumed right, and YOU got to prove urself innocent! Guilty Until Proven innocent! And thats if they even want to hear what you have to say! The justice system isnt the only place the accused gets railroaded!

  • @Dreambro1 Ebay does not have the final say and they are not the court system.

  • @21April853BC so, who has the final say?

  • @Dreambro1

That is not the justice system bro.....

It's "Innocent until proven guilty" I think you misunderstood all those episodes of Law&Order you watched to get all your legal advice... cheers.

  • @dzabageo Dug, dumbass, what i am saying is the word of the compaintant usually goes, like, EBAY takes the buyers side, right or wronge! They get their money back, and i law and order can be pretty close to real in laws, but laws vary from state to state! But sorry you missed the point! Now go back to Watching , Desperate Housewives!

  • @Dreambro1

    umadbro? lmao.

  • wow that sucks egay and he's "buyer protection" plan is just a poor excuse after they riipping off sellers with fees and shit sellers dont have such thing as "seller protection "

  • What a prick buyer he just took ur parts out an sold em

Guys don't sell or buy expensive things from ppl with less than 50 feedback

  • @Ben7Roethlisberger What I think he did was swap broken parts from another MacBook for the good parts in the one he bought from me, then claimed it was broken and shipped it back to me. Pretty shitty, and even more shitty is that eBay gave this guy my PHONE NUMBER so he could call me. I used to assume that eBay would shield me from the crazy people out there, but I guess not so much...

  • ebyer protection, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah,dicks.

  • @686bim eBay bankruptcy is coming soon. A class action lawsuit will be coming. Its just matter of time..

  • Somehere mentioned small claims court. The wouldn't be feasible because of distance and jurisdiction issues.

It's one persons word against another. A fraudulent buyer can mail you back his old item with the same UPC. As a seller, you may know outright that it's not yours but you have to think beforehand like this guy did with his unboxing video. If not, the cost could be on you.

  • I received a fake Ipod witch ruined my daughters christmas

  • they put a apple in a dell box..lol wow

  • @biggirlzneedlove2 Nah, that's how I shipped it to the buyer originally, because I did not have the original box. He must be new to scamming, because he admitted to me on the phone that it arrived fine and worked for weeks, then "suddenly wouldn't turn on." After this video was made, I dismantled the computer and found quite a few parts not put back together correctly, so he had clearly taken the computer apart and tried to reassemble it. Nothing was missing though, which I found odd.

  • @StealthSabre i watched and read your video and comments about 5 times but do you think it might be a possibility that he was trying to fix it but failed then blamed it on you?

  • @TheMermaidproduction It is possible that the laptop failed after he bought it, he tried to fix it, was not able to, and made false claims to eBay in order to get his money back. The biggest problem I have is that the laptop was sold and shipped working, the auction clearly stated returns were only accepted in case of DOA (dead on arrival), and I have absolutely no way of knowing what he did to the laptop to cause it to fail.

  • that is the slackest thing I have ever seen. I wouldn't let anyone get away with that.

  • I like how you didn't make a typical Youtube video of yourself smashing the laptop with a hammer at the end.

  • If your a seller, you should always take a picture and note the condition of the item, so you have some proof in case of a scam!

  • I used ebay and bought about 10 items, and had problems with 2 of them, sellers, ebay and paypal refused to work with me. i bought over 24 items on amazon had 1 problem that the seller resolved quickly and refunded my money. And i only buy from people with positive feedback. In my opinion, if you keep using eBay or Paypal you will get screwed sooner or later.

  • @zahmad007 just cancelled paypal,balls to ebay,bought 6 items, and 1 was a scam £49 pound later,ebay dont want 2 know,pricks.

  • did you take the laptop apart? typically what people do is take it apart, take some parts and send it back for refund

  • @seb4774 I haven't yet taken it apart, no. I plan to attempt to switch out the motherboard with a known-working motherboard from a Macbook Pro with a busted display, and see if that fixes it, and when I get around to it, it will be interesting to see if this scammer did indeed remove parts from the laptop.

  • why don't you take the buyer to court?

  • @patreck1969 it takes more money to take who ever sold him this to court

  • @lifeinthenfl

small claims court could work, it's only a small fee to file the papers and there is no lawyer needed. It's kind of what you see on the people court.

  • @patreck1969 well i guess ur right but ebay has good returns policys so i guess it all works out

  • Is there any other place in the known universe where you need to film the unboxing and shipping of items?

Saw a funny yet sad scene at the PostOffice when the people working there refused to stand by while someone was playing ebay film the box opening games. The retarded twerps running ebay think the police & post office are their customer service, while they ignore, encourage and profit from fraud.

  • @GoodbyeEbay well said! i hope it comes falling on there heads, assholes.

  • so u get a broken laptop and he gets his money back?

  • @Kill3rification

Yeah, pretty much what eBay was telling me. Thankfully, I sent them an email of this unboxing vid, and believe it or not they removed the hold on my PayPal and eBay account. So, the buyer still got all his money back, but I get to keep the now-broken laptop and the original purchase amount.

  • @StealthSabre

well i did not ebay are not understanding enough screw themmmmm for cheating ur money or maybe it was that scammer man he has nothing betta to do he has nno life at all he should go n find 1
