There are some wonderfully weird aquatic animals yet to be discovered and explained. But, will we have a chance to do so before they die out by human hands? We need to protect our oceans ! The best way to do that is to STOP eating fish and other sea creatures. Some of the mysterious creatures of the oceans have most likely already gone extinct because of human dietary greed. For weird lake creatures the biggest threat is the pollution generated by slaughter houses.

maybe it's a fish with incredibly strong lungs from the underwater abyss' either that or some secret government are creating artificial creatures and some of those have gone loose and become what we call "Mythical animals" and are planning to use those experiments on future wars xD

I like this show. But I don't fancy the older guy with his dramatic facial expressions and voice inflections. If he can me more serious and less dramatic it would be less annoying.

If it lives that far down, being bigger than a whale is pretty unlikely, what would it eat to begin with?

Sure, there are deep sea fish but not enough to feed an entire species of "monsters".

If you want to speculate over what might be down there, bacteria colonies are the scariset I can think of.

@Hjobbo ummm...colossal and giant squid? And do you know how full of live the deep sea is? Hundreds of tons of dead fish, whales, and plant matter sink in their on a daily basis. And with the size of the ocean, they could be surfacing all the time, they just do it where people have never sailed before. It isnt hard to imagine large sea animals that are undiscovered in the oceans

@Hjobbo What classifies as a "monster"? Whales, sharks, and squid are beasts. And why not? Time and environment have created some very beastly creatures.

@Illier1 Well, in this show they're obviously going for something more "spectacular" than another species of whale.

Think Cloverfield and you've got a monster to hook people to a screen. What I'd classify as a monster today would be, like, a huge leviathan with a shark deal for a mouth with muscled flippers, that'd be rad.

@Hjobbo Im thinking they are looking at either a plesiosaurs, colossal sized eels, or prehaps an ancient relative of whales, look them up. Extinct creatures that survived their supposed deaths would easily classify as monsters to a modern man.
