first of all, let me just say that he is one good lookin' man. And that this song has so much meaning and such truth to it. Too bad the video doesn't quite live up to the song. But he is a new artist too and is just a country boy, so, I can't fault him for not feeling comfortable in front of a camera.

I don't think everything has to be so "Hollywood" in order for it to convey a wonderful, heartfelt message...this video and the artist come across as simplistic.......i think that the video fits the song beautifully!! Love It!!!! Thanks Dean Brody......

I finally get it. In the last part of the song, he sings about the Mother putting the child up for adoption, and when his 12 the adopted father tells him about his real Mother. Great song, but I agree with "dericd" the video is crap.

@dericd I agree, only part of the vid I liked was when he leaves the note in his real Mom's door, awesome song though. Check out "Joe Nichols - I'll Wait for You" that is an awesome vid that doesn't disappoint and clearly explains the song. I think this video could of been more in that style.

OK, I thought maybe I was a little harsh, so I gave it a day and watched it again. NOPE, I hate it even more. You see, it IS such a good song, so I was excited to see a music video that would give me a story to relate to it. @dericd This is an emotional song, imagine if there a bunch of frat guys with their shirts off getting wasted. That would probably ruin the mood of the song. Plus you have to look at the theme of the song not the individual parts. He's reflecting on his life and the path he's taken. I guess you don't understand the song and need step by step illustrations.
