  • konami should remake SOTN the same way they did with contra hard cops, 2d with ark system works astounishing sprites

  • @jjvictor66 It would have to impress me a lot more than the Rondo of Blood remake on Dracula X Chronicles. Anyway, I have no idea what's next for the series, or even Iga.

  • I would only buy it, if Alucard were voiced by Robert Belgrade. I don't like 3D Castlevania games, but with Alucard on it, I would give it a try.

  • Still soooo disappointed that this is cancelled. I'm forcing myself to beat Lords of Shadow, only because I spent money on it. Hate that game. Especially because I know this one would have been so much better.

  • they got pissed that they couldnt use the new alucard model and made a shitty game like castlevania judgment

  • and instead of this we had... lords of shadow... srsly if it wasent for Patrick Stewart voice that game would have failed

  • @Rodrigo00 I can't in any seriousness think that would be the only reason. In truth I'm surprised that nothing else is going on this year during Castlevania's 25th anniversary.

  • @AlucardsQuest If the series had been taken over by somebody who actually cared about the time line (or had just been left with Iga) then there probably would have been something for the anniversary.

Not to go on a rant about Cox again, but god damn it keep the continuity and keep the style of the soundtracks! I actually liked how Lords of Shadow looked and the gameplay was pretty fun (apart from the fact that enemies took too long to die) but overall I was disappointed by the above factors.

  • @AngelBeeps My hope for the next game is that they'll take less influence from God of War (and Shadow of the Colossus) and more from, well... Castlevania. Really all LoS accomplishes is what Lament of Innocence tried to do so many years ago. Why it doesn't feel like Castlevania probably has more to do with the music than anything else. I've been the staunchest supporter of Iga's games and direction with the series, but the amount of missteps he's made outweigh his triumphs... so we move on.

  • @AlucardsQuest

I hate devid cox and his stupid castlevania-fan game !

but we must wait till TGS 2011

  • @TheBelmonthunter I don't see any reason to hate him. In fact even though I've always been supportive of Koji Igarashi, some of the complaints about his games are quite legitimate. The main Problem with David Cox is that he promised a unique Castlevania game but what we got was a God of War clone... a good fun GoW clone, but a clone none the less.

  • this project probably died by now,but i look further for a SOTN remake

the best castlevania ever must have a remake

  • @jjvictor66 Unlikely since it was painstakingly remastered for the PSP release of Dracula X Chronicles.

  • is this lords of shadow

  • @nignogfrogdog Um... no.

  • @AlucardsQuest can it be lords of shadow

  • @nignogfrogdog Not in this lifetime, this is not Lords of Shadow. this was Iga's presentation for a PS360 game, and Konami passed on it.

  • I was hoping they were still working on it not necessarily to play as Alucard but with hope that the original timeline could still exist/be expanded upon. I like Lords of Shadow but I don't want to say goodbye completely to the way the old games were. Vampire Killer isn't even a whip now, that saddens me.

  • Here are my ideas. how about the next game utilizes the playstation move controller for the whip so you can control the whip like it was real. like zelda skyward sword will utilize wii motion plus for sword gameplay.

  • @TheSliferSoul I disagree, I think that'd be too much of a hassle, and I don't think many people can really get into it. I know I couldn't.

  • @TheSliferSoul You pretty much described Castlevania the Arcade game... which only came out in Japan. Except that game plays more like an on the rails shooter with a whip controller instead of a gun.

  • @AlucardsQuest Maybe. But that was like you said. More of a gun gameplay. I want it to be more whip like gameplay.

  • Just asking here...was this ever confirmed by the company?

  • @MrVampboy93 No it never was.

  • @AlucardsQuest Lame. =.=

  • alucard wold kill edward

  • i want a new castlevania with alucard as main character, i want a remake of simons quest for 3ds and i want a remake of harmony of dissonance or a sequel for every console xD, admit, everyone wants everything :D

  • This would be totally killer but I have no problem with lords of shadow. i think it's great. it might not be symphony of the night but i think it was awesome in its on way. the story was great. it was fun to play. i've been a huge castlevania fan since i was 6 and the first one came out for the nes and i've been through all of them except haunted castle and vampire killer(which i have but don't have a system to play it on). some people are just never satisfied. make that most people.

  • @monkeygod69 I don't think Castlevania fans will ever be satisfied. Lords of Shadow's story was pretty good but the ending doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I'm hoping that the upcoming expansions will explain it better.

  • if this game is still in development i pray to god that its makes sotn pale in comparison let the castle be super HUGE with tons of different monsters and weapons ,and spells

  • Most fans are tired of spending so much time in the castle. I myself miss the forests and cemeteries.

  • @AlucardsQuest Agreed! It would make it all the more ominous, and the looming fear would make the atmosphere so much better.

  • ALUCARD MUST COME TO THE NEXT GEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • imagine a 3D alucard running around in a 3D castle fighting the werewolve and the minotaurus in the colliseum with their fancy duo in 3D and a dam clocktower with irritating 3D medusas flying around!!

    this game must be awesome

  • @reflexassassin beyond awesome it's EPIC

  • @taki255 so true

  • konami prefered to give us a guy who looks like prince of persia and altair and fights like kratos instead of ALUCARD. IT'S SAD!!!!

  • @anticenasquad31 Survey says, it's sold more than the last 7 original Castlevania games combined. That's not a sign of the games quality, but it does say something about the average gamer's tastes.

  • @AlucardsQuest I actually bought it 'cause I wanna give the benefit of doubt but once I finished it I just wanted to play the symphony of the night to remember old GOOD times

  • R.I.P. CASTLEVANIA 1986-2005

  • @anticenasquad31 What does that mean? What about Portrait of Ruin (2006)? Dracula X Chronicles (2007)? Order of Ecclesia (2008)? Castlevania Adventure Rebirth (2010)? Harmony of Despair (2010)? All of those are good games!!!

  • @AlucardsQuest sorry my mistake

  • @anticenasquad31 Also Iga is working on at least 2 new Castlevania games in the future... one probably for the 3DS.

  • I'm not badmouthing Lords of Shadow, it was a good game, but I would much rather have seen this on the shelves. Lords of Shadow's soundtrack was most disappointing and the game itself was rife with continuity errors regarding the rest of the series time line. I'm hoping that this will get picked up again and released eventually, though that is just wishful thinking. It's what the fans actually want, that or this Julius 1999 game that keeps being mentioned in the games.

  • @AngelBeeps LoS wasn't meant to fit into the timeline, it's rewriting it. As long as IGA is still hard at work, I doubt that the old timeline will completely disappear though.

  • @AlucardsQuest Thankfully the sequel to LoS is going GTA4 and having expansions as opposed to brand spanking new games, they say they'll be adding new enemies (hopefully some 3D medusa heads! :D) New ares and hopefully some memorable music. Naturally I'll be cynical but I will check them out. :p

On the subject of IGA, finally played Harmony of Dispair the other night, I have to say it's actually freaking amazing, even without a storyline.

  • I still dont see why this would get cancelled. I mean... they know the fans want alucard... so why not give him to them? I dont get it.

  • @awsumlyawsum I guess Konami wanted something more "marketable". And Lords of Shadow can back up it's game now with over a million copies shipped so far. Still... I doubt that we've seen that last of Alucard!

  • That is Alucard? o.0

  • @pansukeman Yes... or was.

  • Am i the only one who noticed that this video contains the best version of the tragic prince? where can i find the full song?

  • @KINGKICK612 This is not Tragic Prince, this track is called Castlevania Reincarnation from the Lament of Innocence soundtrack. The song itself is a combination of Black Banquet and Dracula's Castle, two songs from Symphony of the Night.

  • @AlucardsQuest OMG, dude he didn't mean the Song! He means that this is the best version of Alucard aka the Tragic Prince^^

  • @DARTHWOODO He asked where he could find the full song.

  • Pray that this is still in development. I want Alucard, damn it!

  • @DemonFoxDeity I'm not getting anyone's hopes up until I read news to the contrary.

  • @DemonFoxDeity Me too. Seeing this makes me so angry!!

  • @DemonFoxDeity Amen, brotha!

  • @DemonFoxDeity ME TOO, DAMN IT!!!

  • I don't get why everyone's all like "Lords of Shadow isn't castlevania'ey". It's like they haven't even played the second half and realized how Castlevania'ey it gets.

  • @GarlandFraser I think that for everything Castlevaniaish in LoS, there is something else that isn't. Although it is difficult to find a balance and create a new experience, but the so-called "new" experiences were very reminiscent of other games. And the Castlevania feelings were more like fanservice nods than true gameplay elements borrowed and built upon from previous games.

  • This is the game we should have now. IGA knew what Castlevania was about.

It's a shame Konami killed Castlevania.

    Lords of Shadow = Castlevania..........never!

  • @ModelJames13 To be honest I needed a break from Iga's ideas, the last few of which have been questionable to say the best (Judgment, Adventure Rebirth, and Harmony of Despair). Lords of Shadow is the break, and the second half of the game does feel a lot more like Castlevania than the first half.

Don't get me wrong, I've been Iga's staunches supporter since he took over the series. But I knew there was something wrong when he said Lament of Innocence was going to be astonishing, and it wasn't.

  • @AlucardsQuest

In a way I agree with both of you. Like James I would have much rather had this game over Lords of Shadow. But i'm totally with you AlucardsQuest in that LoS was a nice break from what we've been seeing. The last really good game IGA made was Order of Ecclesia. But I know he has it in him to make a great Castlevania, 2D or even (gasp) 3D. I believe in IGA.

  • so this never got off the ground?..... ;_;

And I was looking forward to the next tale of Alucard a few years down the line. DAMN YOU PATRICK STEWART AND YOUR SEXVOICE!!!

  • @berserkchip Not as such. This I think was 1 of 3 pitches various developers showed at a round table of Konami head honchos. Of course the second was probably the Lords of Shadow teaser shown a month or two later. So, I'm really curious as to what that third pitch was and what studio was behind it.

Of course it could still happen in some manner of speaking, Iga has confirmed that he is working on 2 more Castlevania games, and a sequel to Lords might happen concurrently.

  • @dkc4475 Judgement is the most stupid game. It isn't a traditional game for CV at all!

  • @ericard7 You're right, there's nothing traditional about it. A decent premise with lackluster execution. Even just the character selection was weak. There were games with twice as many fighters that came out more than 15 years ago.

  • Finally, we can see Maria turn into evil being!

  • @ericard7 I don't think so. But I wonder why nobody has asked Iga about that ending?

  • @AlucardsQuest Maybe it's Iga's decisions...

  • @ericard7 In every interview that he's done I've found him to be quite candid, he's even answered questions about his changing the timeline and the cancellation of the Dreamcast game. So I'm sure he would answer the question, he only evades questions having to do with in-game secrets.

Unless you mean the actual decision to leave it out. That I think had more to do with the lack of time that the development team had on SotN.

  • Would this have just been a 3D remake of SotN? if so im glad they went with Lords of Shadow.

  • @MentalNut By most accounts this would have been a 2.5 or 3D sequel to Symphony of the Night. I don't think that Konami would have given the green light for another Chronicles game so soon.

  • @VastedCouth ...Says the man with no taste.

  • @AlucardsQuest I guess making some of the best action RPG's of the last 2 decades isn't enough for some people.

  • @stevemcquark Well, to be fair there haven't been that many other good action RPGs in the last decade. At least not from Japan (although I hear mixed feelings about western ones). It's really a niche genre with few copycats, but I guess that's a good thing. The new Shantae is probably the next best thing.

  • Sometimes I wonder if Lords of Shadow and Harmony of Despair aren't just there to get fans pumped for the inevitable Alucard game which will blow everything else away. I know the Belmonts are the main characters of Castlevania but for some reason I always feel like Alucard is the "Solid Snake" of Castlevania.

  • @Vrakanox Wishful thinking has lead me to a few disappointments. Following this series I've learned to drop most of my expectations and just enjoy the games (or not) for what they are. Honestly I don't expect a sequel to SotN or anything, but hell if I'm wrong then it'll be that much more of a surprise.

  • Which version of Dracula's Castle is this music from? It's freaking awesome!

  • @armydude102 It's from Lament of Innocence actually. The track is called "Castlevania Reincarnation", but it was only played in-game during boss fights when playing as the Joachim character. Sonically it's a mesh of Black Banquet and Dracula's Castle from Symphony of the Night, I'm sure it's on Youtube somewhere!

  • is this game scraped ?

  • @chrisliam2 From what I understand it never really got off the ground. However Producer Iga says that he's working on 2 new Castlevania games. One is most likely going to be on the 3DS but as for the other... who knows?

  • @AlucardsQuest where do you get your news from. i am so damn excited man XD

  • @LeBronKK All my game news (and some other nonsense) comes from Kotaku.

  • @dkc4475 I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. The premise itself wasn't a bad one, but the execution was sloppy. There are some times when I can have a mental lapse and enjoy some moments in the game, but my main point is that Lords of Shadow is a direct result of the Judgment fiasco... and it will be a good game even if it rips off God of War.

  • @dkc4475 I'd much prefer the "mask" game than the mediocrity/atrocity that was Castlevania Judgment.

  • It would be so freaking sweet if this becomes a sequel to Symphony of the Night. Side scrolling in HD using a 2.5D perspective on the PS3/360. It would probably surpass SotN if that happened., as long as they keep the freely explorable castle and the RPG elements.

  • @Rhapthorne3 It would, if the project is ever picked up again. Iga wants to do it, but I think Konami wants to see how well Lords of Shadow does.

  • @AlucardsQuest yea i really hope they do. I don't count LoS as a CV game cos its set in a completely different universe, even though Belmont and maybe dracula is still there. We deserve a true sequel to one the the best games ever xD

  • @Rhapthorne3 Actually, Lords of Shadow fits into canon storyline REALLY well :)

  • @FeuerFremder It really shouldn't because it would take place about 100 years before Lament of Innocence, so therefore no Dracula.

  • If you ask me, this game was probably a hack and slash 3D remake of Symphony of the Night. That's what I think. And that would have been badass.

  • LMFAO at 0:21

  • omg i remember seeing this sooo much, and forgetting completely about this video, now im sad i remembered...

  • i believe this game woulda been better than lords of shadow. imean come on it has the man in it

  • I love the music In this little trailer.

  • ME - WANT - ALUCARD - BACK

  • @raffa0001 Hell yeah!

  • This isnt lords of shadow, its the secondary multiplayer one on debut at E3 2010. A lot of ppl think its an xbox exclusive, but its a network multiplayer slash fest for both consoles. It has Alucard as a playable as well as a couple of DS castlevania protagonists in a large Castlevania map with multiplayer objectives in 2D, theres no mention if there are other playables at the moment but look into it.

  • @TheBigNext Actually this "trailer" isn't for Harmony of Despair, it was pretty much a sales pitch for a new 2.5 or 3D Castlevania, and sequel to Symphony of the Night. Konami was given 2 other pitches and David Cox and his Mercury Steam team won the decision. From then on Iga began working on other projects like Castlevania the Adventure Rebirth and Harmony of Despair. His next game will probably be for the 3DS.

  • @AlucardsQuest so will this game ever see the day of light on the 3ds or is a diffrent castlevania coming out for the 3ds

  • @supermariojune23 This was just a treatment, however I don't think that the concept will be wasted as long as Iga stays on the series canon. All I know about the 3DS Castlevania is that it's being made, Igarashi himself confirmed it. Anything beyond that is speculation.

  • @TheBigNext Plus, It Is not confirmed for PS3... they said, If It does well with the 360, then they will look at the possibilities for a PS3v. I'm sure It'll do awesome anyway, August 4th, I'm getting It the minute they put It up!

  • @TheBigNext So far HoD has been a 360 exclusive and its several maps instead of one huge castle. I'm hoping "LoS" is going to tank and the upcoming 3DS game (if true) will not stray far from the side scrolling 2D platform. Castlevania just wasn't meant to be 3D. I can't understand how they are not getting that at Konami. I thoroughly enjoyed Harmony of Despair until, by the end of the 2nd week, everybody and their mama had all the rare items. Shoulda been Co-op or 4 p's max.

  • @TiMMYSQUibbLES Hoping that a legitimate Castlevania game like Lords of Shadow tanks I can see as nothing more than sacrilege. Judgment deserved to die a quick death, but Lords of Shadow deserves the benefit of the doubt and perhaps even more... unless you're happy with the series just ending forever. That to me however, would be inexcusable.

I honestly don't understand this prejudice again 3D, it's so archaic. Mario and Zelda worked in 3D. Castlevania deserves better than to be squandered.

  • @AlucardsQuest If you played Castlevania 64, Lament of Innocence (best next to Legacy of Darkness) or Curse of Darkness then you would know where my cynicism for the 3D games comes from. If they wanted to really represent in 3D, they would have made SotN in 3D and import everything that made it fun to begin with. I keep my expectations for LoS low so I can be let down easily in the event of epic failure. Whats next a Castlevania first-person shooter?!? It wouldn't surprise me.

  • @TiMMYSQUibbLES There is a Akumajo Dracula Arcade with a wand/whip controller, so I guess it's more like an on the rails Hexen.

  • @AlucardsQuest I've seen some footage of CV arcade as well as some video of the MGS 3-D cab. In this regard, I wouldn't complain about the FPS nature or the Wii mote controls because arcades are meant to use innovations in modern tech. If you haven't seen the Metal Gear arcade demos check them out. It's refreshing to know that this could be a good game for an arcade. Regardless of what I said previously, I'll stuill get LoS day one.

  • @TiMMYSQUibbLES It is now day 3 :)

  • @AlucardsQuest Yeah, actually after posting I seen a few friends on Live playing it so I went and grabbed it. I'm at Chapter 4 on Knight difficulty. What I will say is this: If this game didn't have the name Castlevania and the lead character wasn't Gabriel Belmont, I'd have trouble knowing this was Castlevanie. It's fun, but it reminds me of every action platformer I've ever played. Dante's Inferno, Devil May Cry and Shadow of the Colossus, all seemed to have been copied in it's design. Meh.

  • @TiMMYSQUibbLES

Wait until you see the ending of the game... It leaves some questions that absolutely have EVERYTHING to do with castlevania. '-'

  • @KyuubiGTS15 Fans nowadays, incapable of taking in some setting and pacing, always wanting instantaneous and immediate gratification and shunning anything if it doesn't cradle them in comfort at the sacrifice of it's storytelling and cohesion.

Seriously, the guy could've at least waited until the end of Chapter 8, or at least midway before saying "It's not a Castlevania". Next thing you'll know, he'll complain there's no candles to break (even though there are in the castle.)

  • @Testsubject909 Everyone has this image of what Castlevania is supposed to be and it's impossible to please everyone. Some people want 2D, some want 3D, some want IGA/Michiru/Ayami, others want Treasure to make Ultra Castlevania 5 or something. There are even those who prefer the Anime artwork, and more lighthearted feel of Rondo with Maria, and others who want a Belmont with whip to look more like Conan the Barbarian like in the first few games.

  • Hey AlucardQuest! In E3 they said that Lords of Shadow will feature the return of Alucard?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!

  • @xXxGoyexXx I don't remember that part, did David Cox say that in his presentation?

  • @AlucardsQuest Nop, in the E3 page says that!!!

  • sotn was obviously the best castlevania 2D style, how many clones came from it? the gba and ds titles, they borrowed many elements that didnt exist until symphony and it still shines as being the most memorable, just something about it, i remember seeing the fast moving clouds when you enter the royal chapel, very eerie and disconcerting with the music, and its gameplay was just so much better. alucard sucked in the ds titles, symphony 2 would be massive if they stayed true to the first sotn,

  • @TheLydianRocks If you're arguing that the GBA and DS games are clones of SotN, then I have to argue that all the old linear Castlevanias are just as much clones of the original game (which also reuse sprites and level designs to varying degrees).

  • @Alu and we would be wrong to say that why? its true dude, symphony didn't have rpg elements? the system for levelling i'e vitaility, strength etc and what about the fact you can switch between so many weapons, i don't remember a castlevania before SOTN that let you do that, or had so much deep involvement and secrets, how many CVs can you turn into a wolf, bat, mist and need to at certain points. SOTN is different enough from any of its previous predecessors to warrant being called an evolution

  • @TheLydianRocks I need to check my phonics I guess because people sometimes think I'm typing the opposite of what I'm trying to say as you've done. You can have several different weapons in Vampire Killer on the MSX, Simon's Quest and Haunted Castle from the arcade, and there are plenty of secrets in those games as well as other Castlevania games... even if they're just cosmetic. In Dracula's Curse you can turn into a bat and a werewolf in Legacy of Darkness. SotN was just an RPG Metroidvania.

  • Its still way superior and legacy of darkness came out after SOTN, i guess i didn't think about draculas curse, isn't that castlevania 3? cant remember but either way i see what you mean, but sotn was clearly the best game, i know its subjective but few people disagree unless they're old enough to remember the original games coming out. the gba and ds titles were clearly closer to sotn than any of the other games, im just pointing out that it upped the game of castlevania of the past decade

  • hope alucard is at least cameo'd into the new game.

  • @3rchoas He won't be in Lords of Shadow, but he will be in Harmony of Despair... if they ever make that game.

  • @AlucardsQuest well still, i hope they just make him AT LEAST an extra playable character, like maybe after you finish the game and do a specific side quest you could use him. it's better then nothing.

  • it wasn't cancelled, is part of the "pachinko" game, it was made just for japanese casino's slot-machines

  • @therealcaz I'm sorry but that's incorrect. This teaser/demo clearly states that Alucard has already destroyed Dracula and the Pachi-slot game revolves around Trevor Belmont so the only way Alucard could be involved would be if he hadn't yet faced up to Dracula. Also right at the end of this video it says PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • @therealcaz I thought it was pachi-slot. Oh well.

  • Why did they cancel this?

Alucard has been proved to be the most popular character in the franchise, and yet they just write the title off so they can concentrate on lords of pissing shadow.

And here was me hoping for symphony of the night 2

  • @septimal Well since they officially didn't announce it, they can't cancel what doesn't exist. But that's a dick thing to say... so just rest assured that something else is coming, even though it isn't Symphony of the Night 2 (maybe we'll get that later but only if we beg and buy). To me LoS doesn't look that bad.

  • it hasnt been cancelled. its just still in development.

  • @FlameG102 Actually Iga is working on 2 new unannounced Castlevania projects, (with one probably showing up on the 3DS).

  • i personally hope, that this game is somehow still in development... I mean this... since growin up playin practically every castlevania til now, and I dont like this "new direction" the soon to be released lords of shadow, is going.... if this game isnt being developed, then castlevania, for all i kno, has died right there along with this trailer for me...

  • @specterRaven Well... we may not get this game, but something else (not Lords of Shadow) appears to be taking it's place. It could be called Harmony of Despair, and Alucard (and several other characters) would be in it... if it were true.

  • @specterRaven You've played every Castlevania ever, but you think LoS is a completely NEW direction? Sorry, but I have to question your Castlevania playing creditials. Hate to break it to the Alucard/SotN faithful, but Lords of Shadow is actually a return to the ORIGINAL Castlevania style of gameplay...ie: platforming and nonstop action with a whip/chain toting Belmont headlining.

  • @razorfett147 ... none of which had been achieved very well in 3D in a Castlevania game. Also I don't remember Simon Belmont jumping from a horse to a werewolf and back while going at full speed, jumping through a rose window, or climbing on a giant ice monster. Something else of mention is that this game isn't linear and it will have RPG elements not unlike Simon's Quest or Symphony of the Night. So it is a new direction in that it has much more focus and money riding behind it.

  • HARMONY OF DESPAIR!!!

  • @jjvictor66 Oh yeah... but to be honest I hope it's not for the 3DS. Handhelds don't do Castlevania justice. Make it a multi-platform download if it's not disc length, that's what I say.

  • Recent IGN article confirmed that there were multiple prototypes in development simultaneously in 2008 for the current gen console Castlevania. Japan team had a prototype, as well as American team and MercurySteam. Konami chose Lords of Shadow to be the new direction over the other prototypes. I think that pretty much confirms that this version of Castlevania has been canned and will not get made.

  • @Fooligan7 Actually I did find that article, and it's almost damning because it mentions that Konami would only pick one title out of the recommended prototypes. So that means that this was one of the prototypes, and the Lords of Shadow teaser was another... I wonder what the third from the American developer looked like?

Well... before I reword this video, I'd really like to know what Koji Igarashi is currently working on. Otherwise it feels like the sad end of an era.

  • @AlucardsQuest i wish Igarashi san wont stop making castlevania T___T

man he has some magical touch that only HE can create. In addition of that, the gothic music by Michiru yamane T___T. i will miss her music in LoS

  • @DXTBOY I think Iga's risk with CV Judgment didn't sit well with Konami once it failed to sell but they did give him another chance. I'll follow Iga's career further because I like his games as well, I even have a soft spot for Nanobreaker.

  • LOL looks like psx CG's

There is no dubt that Iga and his golden egg chicken (Alucard) always sells and got fanboys hahaha

Its sad that kids these days preffer sotn instead a real classic Castlevania

  • 2 years and no news.....

im starting to get worried with this...

  • i hope its 2D ):

  • i just hope its not canceled :/

  • will this be a rpg like the last one?

  • @samboner08 We'll see, but with Alucard I'm betting that yes it will be an action/rpg.

  • I hope this project has resigned completely, even one sees very badly to be of generation PS3 and Xbox360, I wait with many(many people) for desire for Lords of Shadows and that triumphs more than this drag than tape-worm thought Iga.

  • @BelmontKnight I think we owe Iga one last benefit of the doubt. Especially since we haven't seen nor heard anything about this game for almost 2 years. We don't know if it's 2D, 3D 2.5D. Is it a Metroid style? Is it something brand new? We don't know... in fact we don't know anything other than Iga is still working at Konami, and that he plans to announce his next project some time in the future. He hasn't even updated his blog in over a year.

  • @samboner08 Hopefully by E3 but it's hard to say.

  • @AlucardsQuest i just hope its not canceled :/

  • I hope this project has resigned completely, even one sees very badly to be of generation PS3 and Xbox360, I wait with many(many people) for desire for Lords of Shadows and that triumphs more than this drag than tape-worm thought Iga.

  • Telling by your description, Iga mus have actually gone to find out who showed it and pretty much murdered him.

  • @GentlemanAeon777 It wasn't that serious, but considering it's been a year and a half and we haven't heard any news about this... it was way too early to show this. However it got people talking, and that's always good.

  • I do have but one point to make, sorry to be a buzz-kill. The music from this trailer was from Lament of Innocence. Look up the track 'Reincarnation' from Lament of innocence, you'll see for yourself. Kind of makes me wonder whether or not the trailer is actually legit. I'll remain hopefull though.

  • I made a point to leave that in my description not long after I posted the video, so I'm not trying to fool anyone. The actual audio is pretty bland. You can hear some sound effects of the sword and a very minor orchestral dirge, but it's all blocked out by the backdrop of a very noisy Tokyo Game Show 2008. I suppose I could post the original without the Windows Movie Maker filter and translations, but others have already done that.

  • dude who didn't know that AngelBeeps?

if you would actually READ previous post "or the first couple of post" u would see that AlucardsQuest clearly pointed this out.

not trying to be a jerk but u should learn not to be a idiot and read up on shit before trying to correct people ok lol

  • yea AngelBeeps this trailer is legit but as AlucardsQuest pointed out the original audio suck and was boring basically.

by adding this cool soundtrack from CVLOI he made it more cooler.

but the trailer is legit dude considering it WAS at the TGS show

  • OMG!!!!! Alucard's back!!!! i smell some "Dark Metamorphosis" XD I look forward to it soooooo much!

  • As do we all.

  • God when is this gonna have more info out!!! D=

  • Hopefully by E3, Konami usually doesn't have their press conference until day 2. If not by that time... then I'll be worried. They also have a Gamer's Day usually around this time of year, but it's not a very big event unless Hideo Kojima shows up lol.

  • Making a red sword construct appear from thin air...similar to Shanoa with the Glyphs, either he has a similar method, he has access to at least a part of Dominus via his cursed blood or he was the one who taught the Order of Ecclesia to do that in the first place.

I'm thinking it's set after SOTN and before Aria of Sorrow

  • He is Dracula's son, any kinds of power are within his reach. Even devil forgemastery I imagine.

Anyway I do agree that this is a sequel to SotN, (in fact right after) but not too close to Order of Ecclesia or Quincy Morris' battle in 1897.

  • Which would put it within Richter and Maria's lifetime

  • That is most likely.

  • Agreed o.o
