  • good lord. perfection!

  • his voice is like fine whiskey, a bit rough but is still so amazing you can't but help but get some more. THIS GUY IS THE BEST!

  • Before he was famous, at the age of 21, Sinatra went to jail. You know why? He promised women to marry them if they sleep with him. you can say what you want, but this guy knew how to convince people... doesnt matter by singing or by tellin lies! I love him! rest in peace franky boy!

  • Man i love Sinatra. and what a hell of a piano player

  • There will never be another...

  • this is music.. compared to today's noise..

  • I do not care for the comments.. Just for the music.

  • (3:21) Ol' brown eyes!

  • When you are drunk and alone at your home you really can feel this song!

  • this is my favorite version of this song. <3

  • I still think this is Sinatra's best singing...very soulful and sad

  • When that wave of strings just eases you into the mood.......oh my god......heaven........pure class...thanks so much for posting this.......god bless

  • the definintion of torch song.

  • i love this song, it 's warm and relaxing, unlike the songs of today.. these songs need to be brought back... or more songs like this would be great

  • I also like the final scene in the 1998 film The Rat Pack where Ray Liotta sings this song. Looks just like Frank with the hat and smoke in the dark room.

  • One of Frank's best performances.

  • I listened to this at 2:45 am

  • @rizzle5158 thats the best time ...

  • Frank's singing this to Ava.

The legacy is the music. Because of that, Sinatra has immortality.

  • It's Sinatra's world, we just live in it. Thirteen years after he booked his engagement in the hereafter, it's still Sinatra's world.

  • @TheBrooklynIrish72 I hear ya, Frank is Numero Uno, paesano.

  • oh my god I can't believe someone disliked this song... like... I've thought that on other songs, but this one's different... for real... ???? This song makes me close my eyes and just listen.

  • Frank rules

  • THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD! Lead Rat Packer

    FRANCIS ALBERT SINATRA (1915~1998)

  • One for my baby, makes me wanna have a drink & a smoke. Cheers

  • nobody can sing this song like frank...the best ever!

  • This is a great song. So is "17", "Send in the Clowns" and of course, "My Way." Oh, and "Summer Winds." But I don't really get why he's so revered. I mean, he didn't write the songs or anything. He picks awesome songs, true. But I think anyone w/ basic vocal talent would have done just as good. There are some singers that do transcend the music, and make it their own whether they wrote it or not, but I wouldn't say he was one of them. (His nemesis Sinead is, imho.) Great, great song, though.

  • This sums up just how good Sinatra is, how he stands above other singers. Its the phraseology, the intimacy, the emotiveness that he brings to this song, that others can't bring to this wonderful Johnny Mercer song. Not even Mercer can emote the song the way Sinatra does it. This is my favorite song sung by anyone.

  • god i wish i couldve hung with him

  • The Chairman Of the Board!

  • the best song to get ur lush on to......

  • somebody doesnt know music..

  • Just one didn't like this video.

And you know who he was?

    The "Baby".

  • I bet he had trouble pulling girls.

    Chairman of the board .

  • One of his best...no doubt about it. Thank you for posting this song. I remember singing it with my dad back in the mid/late 90's when I was just shy of being a teenager. I'm 26 now and still love it. I actually just posted my take on this classic. It's nothing great, but, I tried. It's more of a tribute to Frank, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen and Nelson Riddle. The guys who made it all possible. And then you can't forget, Bill Miller, doing his thing on the piano.

    Take Care,

    Layne

  • I saw Elvis live, and Judy Garland live, only regret is I never got to see Frank Sinatra live. Truly, he is one of the best! Love his music.

  • My favorite Sinatra song by far . . . one of my favorite songs of all time . . . perfect!

  • this is just perfect

  • @totallycoolmanwow u should prolly go ahead and kill urself......frank is amazing and will always be.

  • Makes me want to set a couple drinks up for him.

  • Ah Franics Albert!

  • At the age of 40 one realizes that Sinatra is bigger than sammy davis.

  • @M3town3 who's sammy davis can u plz till me one of he's big hits ?? i now love the classics ..:D

  • @mjac4ever I don't know much about the era before the rock'n'roll era. But davies was kind of the michael jackson back then, he could sing, act, dance and everything like that, but Sinatra is probably better. He sang so deep, especially the capitol years where he recorded with the wrecking crew musicians. Another genius musicians also working with the crew, was Phil Spector. I consider him the best producer of all time. Spectors the best, i have to quit nowbecause of grandmoters talking too much

  • I sing this song every now and then with a jazz duo and I always have to start with the sincerest of apologies to Mr. Sinatra as there is no way I can come even close to this unbelievably beautiful performance.

  • When this song is over, you feel like you walked right into this guy's heart and lived every word of his story. Sinatra wasn't just a singer; he was an artist who created another reality for his listeners.

  • I agree--best torch song; best saloon song ever

  • best torch song. ever.

  • My three favorite sinatra songs I Cover the Waterfront, A Very good Year and this. Can't decide which is my favorite, they're certainly his most emotive songs

  • Brilliant recording of this wonderful song. I love the instrumentals too.

  • Pretty good for a city singer.

  • i really like this song :x....he's voice is so grave and warm

  • Thats Old Blue Eyes; he was the best;just ask Joe.
