  • Thanks for the video!!! Saved me from buying another alternator... Thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • It should be noted that the red wire on the BACK of the alternator goes to the battery or the AMP meter which would continue on to the battery. DO NOT HOOK THAT RED WIRE TO A VOLT METER BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK. If you're putting this into your car/truck run that wire to the battery.

    Other than that, great video.

  • only the white wire activates it right, the rd is for any acc right

  • white wire would go on one side of the starter switch. Red wire would go on the ignition "on" whatever you would want that to be, key, or toggle switch for your ignition.

  • The video was very helpful, I have a 1956 TO35 with a push botton start, can you tell me where the wires go with the push botton, instead of just a key?

  • you were right the first time, that is an amp gauge. a volt meter would read voltage when power is put to it. neg of volt meter would go to ground (negative ground system) and positive would go to any switchable source that is hot when key is on.. you don't have full power running though a volt meter, but you do an amp gauge.

  • Thanks again for the video man, quality material! The truck is looking great too!

  • good to know.
