i am not gondere but this people can dance. they are the best i have ever seen. wow sekesta? they realy can dance. i gotta learn this dance one of these days. i hate myself for coming here in america as a youth. i missed all my cultural songs and dances. f my life and the ethio government.
@nfess92 yes, but the fact is absolutely different you know this... Majanmare gunzap buala ethio boy! Koi.. ethio girls are not betam konjo ,betam konjo are russian girls No1 in the world!
@Theblackbarbie698 They shake their head mostly because thats how they fee the emphasis and breaks of the rhythm. Its also a cultural expression of the music. Why ultimately is not the right question ... why not? Try the dance and see if you don't move your head lol
A somali calling us weird...HAHAHAHAHAHA. Somalis aint got shit on us in music go sing and dance like the Ayrabs u worship nothing about u is African...hehe.
kalkidan1, what do you think people will preceive us when they see two neighbours fighting, you are right, somalians are originally from yemen and we are as much african as anyone else. i live in new zealand and ethiopians and somalians extremely good friends. so open your eyes, shit is changing around you. peace and love to everyone
I love the pure energy of East African dance and music. That has to be a great aerobic work-out as well. Probably better than sports, and maybe a bit more productive. I wish more people, world-wide would concentrate more on preserving their indigenous arts and less on trying to be "modern" and competitive.
Preserve those roots, and they will be a resource for renewal and inspiration for later generations of musicians and dancers.
i know, i love this song too desta. i feel like the tradition from ethiopia is hard to find nowadays. not to say that there is anything wrong with the new stuff, but we have make sure we hold on to our roots too.
i am from gonder and love it betam des yemil music
