@ShinyHunterBWord Considering that most/all of the people that won the VGC used RNG, and they don't allow hacked Pokemon (or a Pokemon that were "tampered with" as it says in the Operation Manual that they gave me while I was working there), it's pretty obvious that even Nintendo disagrees with your statement.
@MIMIROPPU It's obvious that you disagree with my statement. I never said that it was hacked or tampered with. RNG makes any pokemon 100 percent shiny. It is not legit. You don't have to get past the struggles of true shiny hunting, making it illegit.
@ShinyHunterBWord You didn't answer my question. Since you're saying that they're not legit or hacked, what's YOUR name for them?
And your theory makes chained shinies "not legit or hacked" either, right? Since that's just abusing what's in the game just like RNG. Nintendo never mentioned chaining shinies in any official way just like with RNG. So essentially they're the same thing. Both of them were never mentioned by Nintendo and both of them probably weren't supposed to be figured out.
@MIMIROPPU It shows you what patch is shiny. If that wasn't clear enough. Setting the clock to a certain time and pressing buttons like a madman is not supposed to be a way to find shiny pokemon. Some hacker figured it out somewhere along the line, and learned how to manipulate it to his full advantage. Nintendo never put in any special tool. RNG is a glitch that can give you any nature and IV's for any pokemon you want. There is nothing legit about it.
@ShinyHunterBWord RNG isn't a glitch in the slightest. Every Pokemon that anyone has ever caught or fought againsed ever was made with RNG, including every Pokemon in YOUR game. RNG is the way the Pokemon's IVs, nature and shinyness is determined. You would have to have a Pokemon with none of those to be obtained without RNG (which obviously can't happen).
Also, both EVs and IVs were found out by "some hacker" a while back too. So we shouldn't use those either, right?
@MIMIROPPU I'm sorry. I meant to say that RNG abuse is a glitch. How can you not use IV's? Please explain that to me. IV's are predetermined. I don't know who discovered EV's, but since Nintendo put it into the game themselves during Ruby and Sapphire, it is legit. Nintendo also put in berries that REMOVE EV's in Diamond and Pearl. Even if you don't think that EV's are legit, you can't avoid them, because every pokemon you battle gives it to you.
@ShinyHunterBWord@ShinyHunterBWord Because IVs and EVs are the same as RNG. They're all pre-determined and are programed into the game by the programers. You say that EVs can't be avoided? Neither can RNG because every Pokemon ever is calculated with it. Just as EVs "can't be avoided", neither can RNG. RNG abuse isn't any more of a "glitch" as IV breading. Nowhere does Nintendo say that either exist but they are both made by the programers and are needed to make the game run.
@MIMIROPPU First of all, I said RNG *ABUSE* not the RNG system. You can always avoid abusing a videogame. IV breeding is completely different. You need to take 2 pokemon with good IV's and keep breeding them until you get the IV's you want. It takes forever to get the perfect pokemon. RNG takes 5 minutes. They are very different.
@ShinyHunterBWord So basicly the only problem you have with RNG is that it can be done so fast? If RNG was a method that took days or weeks to do instead, would you have any problems with it?
@TheHikariOne To put it very simply, it's based on the fact that a Pokemon's IVs, nature and shinyness are deturmend by the time of the DS's clock when you encounter the Pokemon. So if you wait until the right time to encounter it then you can always get shiny ones. (But that's putting it VERY simply)
If that were true then NO Pokemon are legit. Every Pokemon is calculated with the RNG. I would apretiate if you don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about.
Dude lol RNG is legit. It's abusing the game mechanics with NO external cheating device. Therefore, if Nintendo did NOT want us to abuse it, they should have given more effort into making it more fool proof. WHICH for the record COULD have been done. Alas it was not. So therefore, it is legit.
Nice job! After a month of SRing, I too have found a shiny Cresselia (I just found it today). Unfortunately, I used my Master Ball on Giratina (it was shiny). I'm still trying to catch it.
I like to RNG abuse my Pokémon. :3

@ShinyHunterBWord So you're saying that they aren't hacked OR legit? There isn't much else left...

@MIMIROPPU Yes. Just because a shiny is not legit doesn't mean it's hacked. You manipulated the game in a way other than hacking to get a shiny.

Oh, and Pokemon that were caught/breed using RNG were also being used in the WCS. So even Nintendo themselves agrees that they are legit.

A Dive Ball? Nice. I caught mine in a Heal Ball.

Very nice! Man, I knew I shouldn't have traded that random shiny I caught. Now I'll probably never be able to RNG shinies/IVs...

...RNG? What's that? Enighten nao, I just recently got back into Pokemon.

Rndom Rumber Generator. Studies have found that a Pokemon's nature, IVs and shinyness is based on what time and date you encounter a Pokemon at.

lolwut you need to tell me how to use this method. Plz n_n.
