1 of my few complaints about *Myth of the Robber Barons*, aside from Burton Folsom's bizarre presumption that Rockefeller's wealth was his reward for being so religious, is that Folsom believed the anti-capitalists' inaccurate accusations against financier Jay Gould. Folsom says Gould really was a tax-subsidized crook. But all of those accusations are disproved in Maury Klein's *The Life & Legend of Jay Gould*, which *Intellectual Activist* recommended, back when Peter Schwartz still owned it.
Other than those complaints, *Myth of the Robber Barons* is one of my favorite books. I especially appreciate Folsom's citation of Robert Hessen, who is very meticulous when it comes to industrial history.
And so Beethoven's 7th's hour long special ends. Shit, that was informative. Thanks for making this...
