HA-HAAH!!! HOUSE MUSIC LIVES FOREVER!!!!! I remember the talcum powder on the dancefloors and all of us skating and skipping to tracks like this!!! Fun times!!
there was another song that sound like this and acid crash, anyone know the name??? the melody is played with a different sample (and the sample changes) and it gets real distorted in the middle...
@parnowihavetogoblind it was the original video clash by lil louis, but that md connection one is cool too... how many versions of this track are there o.O
@ Bakebreal - you said House was dead NOT me & that you were burned out by '94 - my comment was based upon these remarks & NOT on who you might or might not know, who you think you are & your personal achievements & contributions to House. By your own admittance you ain't HOUSE. ;-)
@ Bakebreal - u talk shit - House lives - u just no longer support, represent or believe. By your own admission you got 'burned out' by 94 so how are you qualified to comment after this time? T
OP - thanks for posting theis up - it's still fresh! ;-)
@RickySwank Cause I been spinning HOUSE since 1987. Still do.....So yeah, I think I'm qualified. In fact, my boy Steve Poindexter has a house track that I put together for him to tweek it for me. I'd say I'm qualified....
Are you sure about your dates? Maybe you heard another version of this record. at the time their were three that i know of : Video Crash by Tyree, Video Clash by Lil Louis and Happy Feet by Mike Dunn. Also the Marshall Jefferson unreleased Demo version was playing around before the other Three were officially released.
Respond to this video... They ALL came out AFTER the original by Shawn Hardison did it. It hit WKKC first, and AFTER that......those were in press....
@Bakebreal reply to Bakebreal, My best guess would be that most of the Crash Mixes go back to Marshall Jefferson and the original demo that he had and never released in his name. I Believe that would be a good place to start.
@Bakebreal I 'am not familiar with this track by Shawn T , But i do know that both Tyree and Lil Louis versions are in some way connected to the Marshall Jefferson demo. Many believe that Louis's version came directly from the Jefferson version maybe with some changes and Tyree gave reference by having Jeffersons initials in the writers box of his version. Tyree told me to do this himself. at the time i didn't know why and now i do.
@rodneybakerr The world of House Music. Gotta love it. LOL, this can be an episode stemmed from the HISTORY of House Music. LOL. If only you could hear it, you'd say "wow, now I see".
@cchristi, I remember rockin' to this at SoundFactory with Junior Vasquez on the 1&2's! That was the spot!! No alcohol served; just bone-vibrating, mind-trippin', soul-charging tunes and BASS!! Madonna found her two main dancers for her "Vogue" video and "Blonde Ambition Tour"inside SF. Those two Latin dudes use to win trips from dance contests every week rockin' to this jam! If memory serves me, Junior remixed Vogue for her too. Ahh, memories....I miss those days.
born in 87' i am envious of you all, but I promise I will be spinning this in New York City starting in the fall. This needs to be played in clubs over, and over, and over again.
O M G! I'm tired from trying to do high kicks in my computer room! This is my TUNE!!!! Kicking Kenny in DC! All the kidz that used to walk with stuff on their heads in ATL! Voguing battles in Baltimore! My goodness........
heh the first ever Rave song? and i have to agree with ost o the folks on here... this song was genius for its time, and the feeling at that date... so pure..so bright.. no gang shit...no retarded kids with guns in school, no bullshit ridalin , no after-bush ...just pure fun..man what i would give for those days.. where a club was gone to dance, not stand against the wall and talk shit about the next person. where the guys danced with the girls. a show of sportsmanship. competition, no hate. fun
Nothing like the sound factory. worked this the hell out. with all thaT DAMN FOOTWORK OCASSIONAL FLIPS AND LOT OF FLOOR ACTION. WHAT IT WAS TO BE 21. MY NEED STOPS ME TODAY.LMAO
All I had to do was FEEL this track; whether I'd dropped or not, it was so, so very on!!! I remember these red leather hi-top tennis that I danced in for so long that the dye bled through my socks and onto my feet, which were stained for the longest thereafter...ah, for some good acid (house, that is...or not :-) ). This track was a SCANDAL at the Factory, when Junior still knew what fierce means.
THE OLD HOT 97 WAS 103.5!!! but does anyone remember the PANIC SYSTEM 89.1 stretch armstrong and bobbito late nights with the house music i used to stay up late night friday and record in on my moms stereo system and the next day my man had the BOOMBOX, i would pop in tha tape and BAAAAAMMMM we danced everyday. we would hit the clubs and battle. WHAT THA FUCK HAPPENED TO NYC??????? ACID CRASH PUT ME IN ANOTHER WORLD

@cchristi Thank our lovely mayors who went after all the clubs in NYC to shut down. All because they wanted to make NYC "Family Entertainment" for tourists. Now all we really have left is webster hall. We use to be king of the club and fashion scenes. Because of that you have to go to chicago, detroit or cali to experience what once was NYC.
@seanes718 Preach seanes!!! NYC used to be the shyt!!!!! Very few places had anything on the NYC back in the day, you begged or scammed your way onto a ferww guestlists whenever you could and you'd hit the clubs till you found the one that was off the hook...those were the days....
