pardon me for sounding like a complete noob, but what is "Special Summoning"?

Each turn you are supposed to summon only 1 monster. That is called "normal" summon.

A special summon is any kind of summon that allows you to set a monster on the field without taking you the opportunity to perform that "normal" summon. In other words a special summon is any kind of summoning that's NOT a normal summon.

@blu3print13 eventhought i usually vary the cards in my deck i tend to always pack the following cards:

shining angel + satellite cannon

cyber jar, sangan, marshmallon, jinzo, nimble momonga, the creator

book of moon + limited spells

mirror force, magic cylinder, call of haunted, raigeki break

all the other cards can be anything.

You need to have all the cards, solved all the timed duels, answer over 60% of all fonaine's question (this might take a good ammount of tests) faced everyone at least 10 times and get over 200 wins (i'm not sure if jasmine and mindy are considered, but just in case i faced bth of them aswell)

With gamesharks you can have all the cards and time duels done, but the rest must be done with your own effort

I don't remmember exactly all the cards but i can tell you some of the monsters and spells/traps i used.

Low level: shining angel, nimble momonga, gilasaurus, mystic tomato, bubonic vermin, marsmallon, copycat, chaos necromancer

Mid level: tricky, satellite cannon, legendary fiend, jinzo

High level: The creator, Guardian angel Joan, Emes the infinity

Magic: premature burial, stray lambs, offerings to the doom, mystical typhoon, snatch steal, swords of the revealing light

Traps: Nightmare wheel, call of the haunted, Metla reflect slime, magic cylinder, mirror force
