I wouldn't recommend this for beginners, i'd rather learn first from any book or document and the website which redirected me to this videos. But this is good for a quick review. And viewers of this should learn Kana first so they can identify the mistakes from these videos.
I really suck at Japanese. I've studied it for almost 3 years, and it's still like I just started yesterday. I can't remember anything. It's too bad, cuz I've tried so hard. >.<
There is a delay in the sound... This could really screw someone up if they were trying to memorize these. Often the sound of the previous slide comes up on the next slide. Be careful!
I was saying the same thing while watching this hahaha. Also the calibration between sound and characters is off by about 1 second to 2. But good overall could make it slower.
Thank you for the kind comments, I'd appreciate it if you can mail me the mistakes so I could redo them. I passed JLPT4 and hopefully, take JLPT3 this year before the announced changes for 2010.
@Liam747 There are only four levels. Four being the easiest. Then you work your way up to level three, then level two, thus level one being the hardest. Level 4 is about 150+ hours of study. All hours add up with each test, so the amount of study required for level one test is a total of 900+ hours. Pretty ridonkulous. I think I'll be fine with just a level four proficiency for now. =]
I love the video. It is a great improvement on how the book tries to teach these words. I hope the people who own the copyright don't remove this video. While the book "The Japanese Language Proficiency Test, Level 4" is the best Japanese self study book I have used, this list of words, that come from the CD, has almost 0 value without the slides.
Almost 25% of the slides have a mistake on and would benefit from a rewrite.
Thanks :) You have to realize that the Japanese language has only 55 sounds. You can get all these sounds by hearing all hiragana characters. Once you get acquainted well with Hiragana sounds you are set to go! :) good luck! Just 11 days to go! :)
Thanks for the kind words! :) I'm hoping I can complete the whole seven videos before the exam starts :D check the site I'm making jlpt do t okinawastuff do t com
at the UNCLE part hiragana says OKAASAN wich means mother

@reginr I think you should now edit the title to say level 5 to avoid confusion.

This would be a great video if you could just slow it down a bit and correct a few mistakes:
@ 00:20 atama means head; not morning
@ 00:38 intead of ame, the hiragana says aka
@ 00:40 intead of ame, the hiragana says aka
Nice vid though!

Great video. A little fast though. Would LOVE to see a JLPT 3 and 2 review video like this one. Excellent way to review and practice.

かなり間違いが見受けられます。私の方からも少し指摘を。
「あっさて」ではなく「あさって」(訳はa(the?) day after tomorrow)
足はfootの方が適切。legは脚の方。
あと、字体(フォント)が違うものが混ざっていて少し見辛いから統一した方が良いと思う。
文句や注文ばかりのコメントになってしまいしましたが、
これからも勉強頑張って下さい。応援しています。

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't know. The best way to get the latest info is to go to the official website of JLPT
