  • at the UNCLE part hiragana says OKAASAN wich means mother

  • Now it's lvl 5 words, bro, not 4)

  • @konstantintenko I know bro, this is an old video but it will be very useful to Level 5 indeed thanks!

  • @reginr I think you should now edit the title to say level 5 to avoid confusion.

  • I wouldn't recommend this for beginners, i'd rather learn first from any book or document and the website which redirected me to this videos. But this is good for a quick review. And viewers of this should learn Kana first so they can identify the mistakes from these videos.

  • あさって meaning day after tomorrow , not あっさて.

  • but the time the Guy says the word its on the next word on screen.

I Know all these Kanji BUT for someone learning these the video flashes way too Fast, sorry but a Worthless lesson

  • Rain/Candy - Ame; you wrote Aka

  • I really suck at Japanese. I've studied it for almost 3 years, and it's still like I just started yesterday. I can't remember anything. It's too bad, cuz I've tried so hard. >.<

  • Rain - あめ is not being displayed

  • Rain - あめ is not being displayed

  • This would be a great video if you could just slow it down a bit and correct a few mistakes:

@ 00:20 atama means head; not morning

@ 00:38 intead of ame, the hiragana says aka

@ 00:40 intead of ame, the hiragana says aka

    Nice vid though!

  • thank you so much for this video.

im taking lvl 5 test this friday, and you helped me a lot.

  • 0:21 atama means head

  • There is a delay in the sound... This could really screw someone up if they were trying to memorize these. Often the sound of the previous slide comes up on the next slide. Be careful!

  • Great video. A little fast though. Would LOVE to see a JLPT 3 and 2 review video like this one. Excellent way to review and practice.

  • かなり間違いが見受けられます。私の方からも少し指摘を。

    「あっさて」ではなく「あさって」(訳はa(the?) day after tomorrow)

    足はfootの方が適切。legは脚の方。

    あと、字体(フォント)が違うものが混ざっていて少し見辛いから統一した方が良いと思う。

    文句や注文ばかりのコメントになってしまいしましたが、

    これからも勉強頑張って下さい。応援しています。

  • いくつか漢字のはらいや止めが間違っております

  • 雨=あめ notあか

    あか=赤red あか=垢(体の汚れ)

  • perfect! Thank you so much!

  • Atama does not mean morning, it means head.

  • icudk,

Thank you for correction I will try to update this soon.

  • I was saying the same thing while watching this hahaha. Also the calibration between sound and characters is off by about 1 second to 2. But good overall could make it slower.

  • at 0:39

    飴 = あめ not あか

  • Thank you for the kind comments, I'd appreciate it if you can mail me the mistakes so I could redo them. I passed JLPT4 and hopefully, take JLPT3 this year before the announced changes for 2010.

  • Yeah, are those changes just turning it into a 5 level test or are there more changes to it? Thanks :D

  • Sorry, I'm afraid I don't know. The best way to get the latest info is to go to the official website of JLPT

  • @Liam747 There are only four levels. Four being the easiest. Then you work your way up to level three, then level two, thus level one being the hardest. Level 4 is about 150+ hours of study. All hours add up with each test, so the amount of study required for level one test is a total of 900+ hours. Pretty ridonkulous. I think I'll be fine with just a level four proficiency for now. =]

  • I love the video. It is a great improvement on how the book tries to teach these words. I hope the people who own the copyright don't remove this video. While the book "The Japanese Language Proficiency Test, Level 4" is the best Japanese self study book I have used, this list of words, that come from the CD, has almost 0 value without the slides.

Almost 25% of the slides have a mistake on and would benefit from a rewrite.

  • あたま/頭/head <--- in the video it says "morning" which is wrong. Besides that the video is excellent, thanks a lot!

  • Thanks for the note. I will revise the video

  • ふり仮名に誤りがたくさんあります。。

  • wow. this is good n the exam is just next month! but, my listening is the worst. do you have any tips on how to improve it? thx a lot ;)

  • Thanks :) You have to realize that the Japanese language has only 55 sounds. You can get all these sounds by hearing all hiragana characters. Once you get acquainted well with Hiragana sounds you are set to go! :) good luck! Just 11 days to go! :)

  • Yup,JLPT next month. luckily I got 98% of this correct, but,My listening skills are better.

  • That's great!

Good luck on the test! :D

    がんばろう!

  • Brilliant. Thanks for this, I'm going to subscribe.

  • Thank you for your kind words :)

  • wow this is great if it was just a tad slower it would be perfect!

  • Thanks! Sorry for the speed, no time to edit the audio part. Just keep watching till it becomes subliminal :D

  • Hey good video dude, and the best is that it iis with pronunciation.

And i am taking the JLPT4 too. Ganbatte!!!!!

  • Thanks for the kind words! :) I'm hoping I can complete the whole seven videos before the exam starts :D check the site I'm making jlpt do t okinawastuff do t com

  • Hey dude, thanks for the video response, and this is a good list of basic Japanese vocab. Good stuff!

    Peace
