Since then, I have bought a flashlight from China without a brand name by doing a search for: 50 watt HID flashlight. I've seen some that featured a 70 watt bulb, but they stopped selling them, so right now, the 50 watt HID is all I've found. You can buy them with a lithium ion battery between $60 and $300, but they are all basically the same.

One day I came back from Brazil to my farm and there was cigarette butt halfway down my 1000 foot driveway. Since I have an electric gate at the road, I thought someone was stalking my place. I noticed that if I used a spotlight outside, it would probably scare someone away, so I bought about $1000 of flashlights. I found the one in the video and it was only $29 but gave the light of some costing $1000+. I thought if I put up a vid about the light I could sell a bunch. I've sold 100s. I ran out.

paid $35 for mine almost 3 years ago from Sam's Club. Swapped out the lamp with a 4300k one I had handy since 6000k is really blue. Bought it for Search and Rescue work and it really does run for 75min continuous. It's easily brighter than the HIDs in my car.

You can't say it's the best light for the money. 99% of people don't need a 3200 Lumen light. Also the tight hotspot is not ideal for all applications. I preffer light easy to carry and efficient lights like the 4Sevens "Quark" series of lights. When I use my light I stay away from the max setting. It's not worth the money. Is that HID light also regulated and is the luminosity rating accurage? (ANSI or OTF?) If it isn't I wouldn't be surprised if it's only 2500 lumens ANSI.

Also, even if it "only" put out 2500 lumens, the price he bought this thing for definitely makes it the "Brightest [production] Flashlight"..."for the Money," to paraphrase the title. The SR-91 and the TK70 "only" put out 2200 ANSI lumens but they go for a couple hundred USD these days. I'm pretty sure ANSI/FL-1 and OTF are the same by the way.

Sorry, but 3500 lumens is really quite low. Comparing it to a police helicopter is like comparing your uncle's 1984 Civic to a Bugati. It just happens to be focused to a spot. Police helicopters use an SX-16 Nightsun. Uses a 1600W Xenon-short arc, with a luminous efficacy of around 50lm/w, meaning it pumps out a minimum of 80,000 lumens. The 100lm/w quoted in your manual is highly optimistic as well for such a low-powered bulb.

Pick up a 1000w MH and then we'll talk about bright.

Why the hell even show the light if they are no longer available, It is really not a flashlight, it's classified as a "spotlight". there is a difference. As for lumens the brightest TRUE flashlight in the world is the "WICKED LAZER FLASHLIGHT", it is 4,100 lumens and will catch paper on fire, cook eggs and if shined on a piece of steel wool it will get hot enough to light a cigarette. There's even a demo of shining the light on a cell phone and melting it to the point of catching on fire.
