Ima ps3 fan to the core, and some people say sony is losing $50 dollars per unit on ps3 sales. My question is "how is that? if they're losing money then why are they still being produced? the xbox 360 its self loses microsoft $10 per console but since ther production cost is so low and there fan base is in ameria(No Shipping to other countries) the entire process of making and selling a console makes them about $10-$20 profit

okay, here's the facts:

1. No backwards compability. It means you can't play PS1 or PS2 games (at least for now)

2. No flash card reader.

3. Only have 2 USB ports. Means your parents and grandparents are no longer able to play together on the same PS3.lol

4.Include the DualShock 3 controller, which also included on the regular (extincted) 80GB PS3

5.80GB HDD.

And I've heard from some people, that the 80GB CorePack PS3s are already released on some countries (still need more info)

hey wait you can still play up to 7 players in the 40gb ps3 but you simply can't connect and recharge 4 joysticks at a time (only two at a time) you can also hook up a mouse and a keyboard (or pendrive) if you want, and also who needs a ps2 emulation software, i bet everyone has a ps2 at home. Even the 40gb and new 80gb core has a quiter and cooler chipset. EVen who needs the memory stick reders if you can hook up a pendrive. c'omon

1. It can't play PS2 games but it still plays PS1 games

2. You can add a flash reader that reads the cards. There's already one custom made for the PS3 by Nyko I believe or you can use usb versions.

3. Add a USB hub. They cost next to nothing.

4. They already do that.

5. 80 gb? I got 320 gb with a 1 tb external coming in soon.
