@Truthexpedition I got pretty much everything I need to get her back together, I would like convert my Olds 455 motor over to suit marine use and handle the higher rpms when I skip waves but I think I'll just throw it in as is and limit the fun to 3500 rpm or less and just putter about and enjoy the open water. I've never been much of a speed demon on water regardless.

@blackhalk24 It will be sweet, I bought it for 200 bucks with the trailer and almost all the parts for an olds 455... water exhaust, high end ignition with wires as thick as my fingers, nice intake manifold, chrome rocker covers, big fat flywheel... everything but the motor. Buddy blew the motor, stripped it and stored it in our impound yard (I was driving tow truck then) He failed to pay the storage and I bought it off the company for a song and a dance!

Will be a sweet boat. Checkmates are awesone looking boats, I love mine. Its hard to put a foot petal in them with the steering on the right side because of the floor, alot of guys move the steering to the left side for that reason. Goota lobe that long pointed nose on then.

@rebel937 I will put the petal on the left foot rather then switching over everything. I am very good with the left foot, tractor trailer, motorcycles and standard cars make me very precise with the left foot so it shouldn't be an issue. Ya, Checkmates are very fast looking... just sitting in my driveway looks like it's doing 70mph LoL
