I wanted sub clavicles too until I really researched it...

turns out they are one of the most dangerous piercings you can get. They're very likely to be rejected. They also are very likely to become infected if you aren't careful, and have the most potential to do the most damage seeing as how they are so deep. They rarely ever heal COMPLETELY, and I've heard will be sore for sooo long.

Get surface clavicle piercings.

I'm getting mine done in a week or two =]

I loved the placement of the subclavicles, but I started looking around at pictures, and the one thing I didn't like was like how far the bar sticks out on either side. I still think they look great, just not something I could personally commit to.

I don't know much about dermals, but as far as I knew I thought they are a little more permanent?

dermals can and can't be permanent.

it depends on the jewlery.

they have certain types of holes that allow tissue to grow through, thus making them permanent.

well, you could always get them cut out

ahah it's not THAT serious! the piercer pretty much pulls the piercing out as far as it will go, then snips the tissue with a scalpel. easy as pie. BUT that's the only reason why i suggested the dermals when i first got my nape done it lasted 2 years before my surface bar was pushed out like, my skin split in half. with the dermals, you don't risk that and intense scarring. just a thought =)

I have a micro in my hand and it heels so much better than my clavicles did.

yeah im having them done too with the same question. i have surface bars on my wrists.. and i love them, but i think since its so close to the bone [i guess?] id rather have microdermals there. idk something about where its placed id rather have the microdermals. but i like the look of the surface bars so... idk.. it gets so pricey when u get 4 microdermals :/. its $170 cheaper to just get the 2 surface bars instead of the 4 microdermals tho. :/, the surface bar on my wrist healed perfectly tho.
