Russia is correct to protect her borders and national sovereignty. Just as Kennedy was when Russia tried to install nuclear missiles in Cuba so too Russia has the right to ensure her own defence. Russia also has the right to protect her citizens and just as Isreal did and rightly so at Entebbe and as the UK did in the Falklands. So can we please get away from the lies being told by the corporate and Govt controlled and owned media in the UK and USA. Russia and its oil are not for sale......

We are being fare in this case. All agreements of 1992 are being followed and we just tried to protect our peacekeepers in the first place who were attacked without any warning by Georgian forces trained by US specialists. Is it a way to solve the problem? Moreover, they did not just attack piecekeepers, they simply killed kids and women... what's their fault? Because they are Ossetians? This is not they way to solve that political problem!!! I can write much more with many more evidence...

VIVAgeorgia... We have plenty of our own resources (oil and gas) to start a war over your small, weak country whose solders had to run away when they saw Russian army. It is a pity that such a people like you cannot see objective picture of what is happening... Really sad... If you have any illusions that Americans will help you in Georgia, they wont! They won't fight against us as they understand that will lead to their defeat and probably nuclear war!!!

We would never start. We don't need Georgia. We have plenty of our own territory. This 'president' (I am holding myself back from swearing) Saakashvili is trying to start WW3 because he hates Russians and OSsetians. One more thing I have to tell you. The US is hardly supporting all these actions to surround Russian Federation with its allies. Just keep in mind that we have the most nuclear weapons in the world and we will never allow anyone to destroy our nation.
