My dad has this car, and i love when i can borrow the car. Its just a special feeling when you drive in it, the speed, the passion, it is an amazing car. But I think it has a more lot to offer in the next model ;)

Plus this is of nicer and more refined quality( Mercs back on the up and up), while BMW still down in the dumps relying on the badge to sell cars, which by the way never got to mecs standards at mercs weakest anyways, was always 2nd fiddle to a mercs, sorry.
Mercedes are the pinnacle of luxury and beauty. They are gorgeous in person. Not very photogenic. I love that mercedes makes their coupes REAL coupes with no B pillars. My aunt has a CLK550 and I had a SL500. They have the silkiest engines and transmissions. Its like driving a bank vault lined in leather. Luxury and class is the only way to describe it. Then slap an amg badge and you have insanity!

This is a fabulous looking car. I found the interior to be of superb quality and comfort. I love Mercedes ride quality. This car would definitely get my money. I love the saloon E Class also. It is important to choose the right colour.

People in europe have a lot of really nice cars because they are able to buy them cheaper because they take smaller engines! And you really can't go that fast because there are cops everywhere in America. Europe = no cops, weaker engines, less pollution, cheaper and fun.
You can have your powerful luxury car for very cheap in europe. And save the earth by limiting emissions. Buy diesel.

You get what you pay for. I think 270hp is too little, and 382hp is too much for this model. a supercharged 320hp V6 would be perfect IMHO. Still, I'd wager anyone who buys the E500 version would be very very happy in all ways, even performance.
I don't get why MB did not offer the E63 coupe. I've been a loyal MB owner for years, however they seem to be out of touch with the US market in many ways. (What were the thinking with the R Class?) MB excels with their top end cars (S Class, SL, and CLS), however they don't seem to produce a car that speaks to the new luxury car market. Listen up MB! Your E-Class coupe is beautiful, but it is sloshy on the corners, and the breaking sucks! As a performance car consumer, I feel alienated.
The R Class it a very good vehicle. The problem is, it looks like a hearse. MB would probably be better off if they would focus on improving the performance (handling/breaking) of their core models . MB also continues to miss the mark with new product offerings. By contrast, BMW is paying attention to their market. BMW is making cars that people want... The new E has drowsy-driver technology. Who asked for this? I can find a Starbuck's. I prefer a car that hugs corners and stops on a dime
yeah it's due to the direct fuel injection the european version has .. so it produces 20 hp more with even better fuel economy ... the fuel qualitiy in america is too bad for the direct injection that's why the S400 Hybrid also hasn't got direct injection
