Yeah Well, fuck restrictions btw... i remenber BMW power over 1120 HP in monza 2003, but then FIA in the year 2004 made a regulation of the V10 engines because they were worried with too overpowered engines, i think if they dont had that restrictions in 2004 and 2005, they sure will be around 1400 1500 hp, so almost hitting 400 km/h in monza, BMW Williams in hungary 2003 did a engine that could rpm over 21.000, but then FIA reduced the income air and fluid liquid by 35%:(
@duncanbathurst This wasn't the only time that JPM proved his point, and then we hear that KR is better than a real racer like JPM,erm ha!,must be the ice has stone their brain cells, KR doesn't drive balls out like JPM does,no way jose, this clip like many others shows that when it comes to proper race,JPM came on top of MS, let alone KR,is like a flaming sword slice snow. The truth prevails MONTOYEAH.
@diitseijugi No they weren't. In comparison to 2011, yes, maybe, but for a team that had been challenging for the title in '03 the '04 season was a total disaster with only 1 win.
@diitseijugi 2001-2003 were they best years (after 1997)....2004 the only win they got was this Brasil GP, that's they last win so far and from there they went to downhill, in 2005 they only managed to get 3 podiums and after that season they lost BWM engines. Their last podiums are from 2008 and as we all know this was the worst ever year for them...
But yeah 2001-2003 were they best years after that Renault/Newey era of 90's
@Achylles871 I only mentioned that Williams lost BMW engines, when BMW decided to buy Sauber and get their own team, and that's when Williams started to go downhill.
What made that pass even more amazing was the fact Montoya had to wait for the end of the pit lane exit line, before moving around Kimi. Montoya was a beast
@kimisrcn Nice, insults for no apparent reason. I am aware of that, as a Williams fan of 15 years I am well aware of that. Vettels car is powered by Renault, that doesn't mean he's driving a Renault. The team was still Williams, not BMW.
montoya thought that he was much faster than the others, not the car.. he saw the reality when he started to drive a mclaren instead of a flying BMW. then he run away quickly.. coward
Montoya should have stayed at Williams, Mclaren did not suit him at all (that quite suprises me, normally I would think it will be the other way round)
And cant believe that this still is last Williams win...
Amazing move from Montoya, he used his Indycar skills to stay in the slip-steam of Raikkonen, without lifting off in pit-lane, then when round the out-side & passed him. Montoya was naturally skilled driver, Top 3 of F1 Biggest waste of talents ever. Come back Juan-Pablo!
@MrBillydoo I meant that F1 is not only track racing, It haves a lot of politics too, Montoya as a racer best of the best, but as a person not so great.
@Fonno88 Wow you must be proud of such an eloquent display of vocabulary,i bet that didn't take you long. Not surprise there i knew my humble request was to much to ask to a "person" like you who clearly show the sole purpose in life as to come in here to be insulting, degrading people's achivements, pretending to know about the subjet.Funny thing is that life can be an irony.Bye bye.
@Fonno88 "contradicting" is the less to expect from someone like you.Since a dickhead as you called can do a pass like it,i wonder then what "name" you give for some who gets passed by JPM,as the eg above is for you a "standar day in F1".Maybe you can be as "humble" as show us how to get the job done?.
@Fonno88.Now you saying it's "KR's mystake",but previously you said any "dickhead" could do the same pass as JPM did.?hmm. So JPM have an advantage for breaking late, also because KR break "early", knowing he had the inside cover as it's a lef hander for a better trayectory. As you said KR "underestimated" all that,so this great pass doesn't count. JPM did the same to FA, on the same place, at the same track!!.Oh let me guess you'll say that this one too is down to power,& i'm mumbling. eh??.
@Fonno88 Erm??.can you notice KR head abruptly turning as he sees JPM racing him on the pit lane, hey surprise!!.KR probably said: "shit, were did he come from".Have we see that? erm...no.Also see how JPM exits the pit lane!!, and finally make the pass UNDERBRAKING ON COLD TYRES,nothing to do with engine power as you reffer.Last time i check we're talking about F1 JPM a truly racer, one of the best,if not the best overtaker in recent years, but in your mind any could do the same.Wow how astonishing.
i loved watchimg montoya in that bmw even though i was a schumacher fan, i prefer formula 1 racing in the past when the greats were there like montoya, schumacher, ralf, haikken, etc.
