nice vid..thinking of buying a metal detector for beach treasures. all I read about the excalibur convinces me. but can you explain me..this constant noise is necessary? doesn´t that drive you mad, especially considering that it only works with head phones? could it be turned of if I only want to concentrate on gold an silver? thanks for any help

Good video, tried to metal detect in nazare portugal its a 2000 year old natural port. but got to have 1000 permits but ill post when i get the paperwork straightened out

Nice vid ' nice finds..im gonna be doing that too as soon as i get my md-5008 order!! its a nice hobby ' or a job if we like...

Just one advice though my friend.. it would be nice if we help clean the environment..by just picking those junks we find at the beach, like pull-tabs or any sort of metal found that doesn't belong there..What the metal detector discriminates...dig 'em...

thanks for posting your videos! fun to watch. my experience is that when you have a faint all metal signal, it's probably very deep and out of discriminate range....my point being that I don't bother switching out of all metal...I just dig out at least 2 or 3 scoops AND THEN go to disc. mode, saves time. Also, seems like your very quick to dismiss a null tone in disc. I have found that SEVERAL PASSES are required at different angles to really give the EXCAL time to ' think about it ' good luck!

ThanksSurfdiger,Yes it does sound loud but really itis not,with the headphones on it soundsNormal. I have a Small hole drilled into the Phones with a tube running from them to the camara's audio. I guess you did not read my settings at the beginning of Video,{Thres-Low as Possible but smooth} With the DTS Amplifier I can hear the Faintest Murmurs.Read my post in the 2nd Video. Oldebeechnut, Ok, I am old, & can't hear.

Whoa....first of all.....turn your threshhold DOWN.....you only need a barely audible threshold tone.......that loud threshhold is much more than you need....and it has to get annoying....you must hear it in your sleep at night.....yikes!!
