Slow jam time :-) ...Now we need "Promise You Love" the song were Michael Cooper says at the end of the song.. "I just wanna get the hair out of your face so i can see whatcha doin' " :-)
I remember I thought that I was slick. I wrote the lyrics to this song and I gave them to Takayalah when we were in Mr. Satzinger's class I got an A for the poem cause he didn't know it was a song already Later on Takayalah got it out of me that was indeed a song we laugh but I blew it that day but she was still real cool with me She was the most beautiful and coolest girl I ever knew in my life. May she rest in peace. She's probably laughing and calling me silly right now LOL
In 1974-1975, Con Funk Shun lived in Memphis, TN and performed every Friday & Saturday night a club called "The Rosewood". I was always front and center. I was in my late teens then, early 50's now, but still love them just the same. To watch Cedric play that guitar was awesome and just listening now takes me back!!!!
I love this song!!! This is when music was great to listen to and had a positive message in each song. No vulgar language, no disrespect, just good music. Put on the right song and set the mood!!!
I am playing this over and over again...just "thanking".....Can tell what Im "thanking"....but for all of you out there who are old school...you know this brings back memories..... Yea I see ya nodding your head....Confunkshun, you are the best!!!!
these boys still got it too,,they performed at the Carter Baron amphitheater in DC..Michael Cooper can still find that high note and Felton Pilate plays all the horns and writes his natural ass off...their fast songs are a hit also but I am a ballad man who loves voices weaving in and out..Young-uns know nothing about slowing down the pace just a taste and lovin on your baby in slow-motion..no faster than 5 mph til she says differently but you continue with the slow motion potion..Dallas U OK
4 dislikes? This music is as good as it gets! Few could re-make it with any effectiveness. Whether R&B, Dance or Love Songs, Con Funk Shun was top-notch in all categories.
Tre Songz sampled this song on his very first album on the song "Cheat On You" Funny how alot of the younger artists always sample from the good stuff from back in the day but what perplexes me is that they don't try to make music at the same standard of the stuff that they sample from???
@MrEdubajista No sweetie, be thankful the good Lord allow you to be here when he did. Just enjoy these predious time pieces while you can. But I do understand.

One way to bring on diabetes is too much sugar in your diet. Hypertension can be brought on via the consumption of high sodium (salt) content foods.
But I get your point. LOL. The "thumbs down" folks just don't get it.
