Is this a Khmer version of an Indonesian song "Genjer Genjer" or was it Khmer in origin? This was a controversial song in the Indonesian revolution era.
@RimbawanGerilya originally Indonesian song written by M Arif during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia to illustrate the poverty and living condition of east java people who have to work under "romusha" and have to eat "genjer", a type of wild plant growing wild in the water of paddy fields to survive... M Arif disappeared (killed) during communist purge in Indonesia between 1965-1966...
