  • They should find these people again and ask them what they think of the question they were asked in 2008 now and then if (and he probably will) Obama wins in 2012 ask them again in 2015.

I think they would say that their fears were overblown but that they don;t like some of his actions.Or at least that's what they should say.

  • Pretty damn racist to call Obama African-American. It was pretty racist to use the "first black president" slogan for Obama when he's not close to fully black.

  • @clemsonowns hes black enough to be called African-American,Black,Brown,Negro,Nigger or any name that people refer to people that are dark skinned

  • @rjh00 well it's pretty clear he's not black. He's very clearly mixed and very, very light skinned but was probably dubbed "the first African-American" to get votes. Oh well it worked. hopefully people won't be fooled into voting because of that again.

  • He has no problem with having an african american president , but i have a problem to have an european president.. I want back a native american president, because native americans are the owner of america..

  • why do working class people in thee midwest vote republican?? My dad is a Union Iron Worker in California, most of the Union guys are white redneck looking guys and they all Vote DEMOCRAT, nobody who is in a union or working class should ever even think about voting republican :p

  • You can tell that these people are horrified that there is a black man in the white house. They want to scream "Oh my God, there's a nigger in the white house!" But they can't. They are being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

  • we had 43 presidents before OBAMA this country was FUCKED UP before he won. All these white folks are snotting and crying scared. Well get over it

  • How ironic is it that most farmers seem to be conservative, against social programs and socialism in any form. Are the same people that receive socialistic support via farm subsidies from the government...

  • This video was typical leftest psycho babble.

  • @TheCottonTop You're right what they should've said was "Ha ha you lost! Up next, an Eskimo president!" Would that work?

  • Are their parents related. Do these guys address their parents uncle dad and aunt mom?

  • god! obama is just a puppet, presidents dont fukn matter at all, its just a figure for people too look up at. thats it! the elites are the ones who care in control!

  • But at the time, all the McCain supporters, pundits and the McCain campaign were going around claiming, "Oh, that's just Obama playing the race card! What a liberal!"

And then they did what he said they'd do- try to make him out to be some kind of anti-American Muslim terrorist Marxist who hates big business and wants LOTS more spending and taxing.

Did the McCain campaign not see the disconnect when they started doing exactly the kind of fearmongering he predicted?

  • @whoo689 Now, I'm not a huge fan of Obama, and I did shun the Obamamania in '08 that led so many people to blindly follow him, esp. within the bullshit 2-party narrow framework, as the alternative to McCain and Bush, but I gotta admit, Obama did show some real balls in saying things like "They cling to god and guns" (so true) and "they're gonna say, 'He's not like those other presidents on the dollar bills" (exactly) and his speech about Biblical literalism gone too far.

  • @whoo689 But you can bet your ass that if I was the nominee for a major party, I would say so many 'radical' things it's not even funny. I have so many views that are, apparently, out of the mainstream, esp. on the issues of sexuality and religion. I'm VERY open-minded about sexuality, as long as it's consensual. And I don't particularly care for religion. Fanatical religious belief, like with the Christian Right, as far as I'm concerned, IS a mental illness (or caused by it, at least).

  • @whoo689 My views on things like polygamy, incest, the ground zero "mosque", etc., would be too much for them to handle. hehehehehe

I would use my freedom of speech to the fullest.

  • Who knew how prophetic Obama was when he talked about how "They're gonna say, 'He doesn't look like those other presidents on the dollar'", or whatever he said exactly. And then McCain chose Palin, and they REALLY amped up the crazy. And conservative media followed with its own brand of hardcore bullshit and lies about Obama.

THAT'S WHAT THEY DID! They did EXACTLY what Obama said they'd do. They played right into his hands like the idiots they are.

  • Lol at the racists tea baggers/republicans bitching and moaning.

  • haha! Great viewing seeing these vile people upset. :-D

  • If you're worried, leave the country.

  • @FUl0VECk How bout you elect a president that was born in america first and knows how to run a country wonder why people are worried Obama should leave and go play Golf with bin ladin

  • crap I wish thes al-jazeera clips wouldn't give the impression that Ohio is just brimming with racists. the majority of us did vote for Obama after all. we just weren't foaming at the mouth (not all the time, anyways) like the McCain folks were.

  • These people don't even understand the issues of the election, all they see is a face.

Then they swallow whatever they're told ie. "We're god-loving decent white christians just like you." Republican voters are so easily fooled....Herd mentality.

  • okay one thing that irritates me is that repubs are supposed to be into the whole "states rights" thing, "No regulation" and "no big government" and yet they're complaining now that Obama isn't doing enough? What sore losers.

  • I don't know why these people just don't realize that it is very rare for the same party to continue to hold on to The White House for more than 8 years!! It doesn't happen very often, and the Republican Party was lucky enough to do it 20 years earlier in 1988 when (The Elder) George Bush defeated Michael Dukakis.

  • :53, it sounded like Harry Potter for a second

  • Well-said.

  • I don't think these people are bad people, but they feel threatened by a Black President by what they say, especially that lady. I can understand that, but that is not the kind of person Obama is. If he was that kind of black, he wouldn't have won. It's all fear.

  • Why are they standing in front of Warren Harding's birthplace? Warren Harding is usually rated the worst president in American history. He was not very bright and surrounded himself with corrupt advisors and enablers...like George Bush II. Is Warren Harding supposed represent something grand about America?...I don't get this clip.

  • @somersetdc

Harding WAS a dud. That's the point. There's nothing remarkable about him, his home nor the people of his home town. They're attempting to tie these people to America's more embarrassing past & contrast it with the "glorious" election of Obama. It's the same reason they mention the KKK.

    It's a total cheap shot.

Say what you will about Bush, he was a son of New England privilege & an Ivy League product. Rural America gave us Abraham Lincoln & more recently, Bill Clinton.

  • If all republicans were like this man we would be so much more progressive.

  • Christians are good at preaching Hate and Fear. Sick jewish cult followers!

  • He wouldn't dare reach out to anyone who didn't vote for him. He won't even do what the people who voted for him wants.

  • lol, keep crying old ass, paranoid, racist republican bitches. think it's scary now, wait until a Mexican runs for President an gets it. DAMN!!

  • That's impossible. A Mexican could never be President of the United States.

  • @BlakkBandana74 lol i love your comment.

  • @BlakkBandana74 Who gives a shit what color someone is, when you make ignorant comments like this it makes the independent white man and woman want to not support a president because we know there are idiots like you that vote for a minority because they are a minority not for what they stand for.

  • @BlakkBandana74 A Mexican could never as President, only Americans can.

  • @BlakkBandana74 Or a middle eastern

  • lol conservatives

  • WE IN THIS BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It must be a heavy burden to know what people would do in a hypothetical situation.

  • everything iv ever read, every poll, every country and ideoligy tell me that being conservitive brings about, intolerence racism and hate, while being liberal brings happiness, freedom and harmony

  • That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Conservatism isn't an ideology; it's a reaction to change. And liberal has come so far from it's real meaning that the old liberals are now the libertarians, while contemporary liberalism is now closer to social democracy.

  • i didnt say it was, im just saying that change is good, keeping things the way they are is not good e nough because the way things are are not good eonugh.

i agree with you about liberal, new liberals today are more ike socialist democrats, while im happy to say im an old liberal, libertarian

  • You said conservatism leads to intolerance, racism and hate; how does resisting politcal and social change lead to these things necessarily? Conservative French folk want to keep the old welfare state, a liberal idea, and this resistance to change is conservatism, even though it's conservatism in defense of a liberal ideal. You stated this as if conservatism was an ideaology; it's not.

Change is always good? What if we "changed" civil rights laws to discriminate against whites? Is that good?

  • i think that what ever i say you will turn it around to make me seem foolish or illogical, i don't think your interested in debating any ideas, i didn't say change is always good either, the second time you ahve put words in my mouth, decides im not even a liberal, im an anarcist and i don't know why im defending them :P

  • "being conservitive brings about, intolerence racism and hate"

Hmmmm...I put words in your mouth?

"im just saying that change is good"

You wanna reconsider your third sentence? This is pathetic.

    "

  • yes, i said both, but when i said ''i didn't say it was'' i was refering to the change bit, again, i didn't say always, i don't understand.

we can be civil about this, i won't insult you, i never insult people for beliefs, just debating and i can see i probably insulted you for my opinion on conservisism as a philsophy but what do you expect from an anarchist, i have a bone to pick with almost every political belief or any philosophy, im not targeting conservistism so be nice

  • Change is not always good but the country's economy was not and is not going to get any better if something doesn't change. Do you actually think Bush's policies were working? The man dug this country in a financial hole that could take years to climb out of. Who in their right mind would change discrimination laws? Something you conservatives should know about life is that nothing is set in stone so you should be able make changes if something isn't working out.

  • The economy is fine; the market economy will always have booms and busts. Get back to me in ten years when it's a bull market and the Dow's over 25k. Let me know if anyone even remembers the 2009 recession.

What policies of Bush's are you referring to? His policies in general? That's too broad to answer.

Agreed, hissue is how we pay off that debt, not assigning blame. We all need to help pay it off when the economy is back up.

The discrimination laws were an example of arbitrary change.

  • Bush cut taxes for the rich and removed the regulations on the market which kept it from overinflating and then crashing.

Also, after cutting taxes he sent us into two very expensive wars without proper planning. That's how he got us into this mess.

  • Actually this economic mess began way before then. The blame is put on bush because it happened in his presidency. The cause for this is the 1st bush administration. I don't feel like explaining it, just look it up and you will see.

  • We've spent trillions of dollars on this whole war campaign in Iraq. For what? Weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist? Terrorists that weren't there? Because Bush had some sort of an axe to grind. Now instead of hating on Bush, you intend to hold grudges against Obama - who didn't throw us into a meaningless war, who didn't throw away trillions of dollars, and who didn't spill the blood of our troops. The least the Repubs can do is stand up & take responsibility for their actions.

  • Actually I think Obama is doing a better job than McCain would. I'm not trying to bash Obama in any way. Personally I think the blame is put on Bush because his presidency was not that good. I just don't like it that Bush started a war to hold up the economy for the time being. However to say that it is all Bush's fault is just a way to make him seem like a worse president.

  • The difficult thing to overcome if we're not going to blame this on this Bush presidency, is the fact that when he arrived in office there was the largest surplus in the US economic history sitting in our federal reserve. Now not only has those funds been completely exhausted, but trillions in addition to that spent on a war that apparently has no end because it has no defined achievable objectives. Before Bush left office it all fell apart, & now they want to blame it all on Obama.

  • I agree in the sense that the war did deplete our national reserve and that some hardcore conservatives do want to blame Obama for it. However by blaming Bush are we no better than them or they better than us. How can we complain about Hannity and Beck blaming Obama when we did similair (not identical) things to Bush. The blade is double edged in politics. Noone can claim that they are right and someone else is wrong.

    Politics = Opinions and Values

  • The national debt was already going to be the largest on record this year befor Obama even took the oath. That was due to tax cuts and increased spending over the previous 8 years. So I have no problem placing blame where it belongs. I need affordable health care, and the people fighting for insurance company profits are out there in plain sight. I know what companies are outsourcng jobs and over paying executives. I also know what President went on TV saying there were WMDs that clearly weren't

  • I understand your argument but still. Do we really need to be placing blame? I get it that Bush was and will be remembered as a sub par president and that he did start a war based on crappy intel. I get it that the health care thing should be passed. However to rush into the health care bill would be a bad thing. Quality would go down because of the lack of competition. A public option, while a novel idea, would be more harmful than good. It would run health care companies out of busines

  • and now they complain because obama is spending trillions of dollars in making sure every american has health care

  • He's not spending trillions on healthcare, so not sure where you're getting that figure from. Yes, the budget is rather large, but then again so is the debt, and you've got to spend money in order to make any. Besides, he's proposing a spending freeze throughout 2011.

  • @reorourke Oh? Obama hasn't been throwing away money, but yet the largest increases in debt, money suppiles and the the largest defict in American history all are happenning now and he just keeps adding to the cost. His little stimulus bill would have supported the whole War on Terror.

  • @ChancellorRW Let's discuss facts here! Deficits are rolled over to the next president. Bush left a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit with a projected 9 year deficit of 10 trillion! The current deficit is 1.5 trillion dollars meaning that the deficit grew by .2 trillion under Obama.

  • @reorourke he didnt end any war he added another=( come talk to me when we have troops in libya. he did ok in iraq.

  • I'm not a conservative, what makes you think that?

My whole point is that change for the sake of change is a groundless argument. Aeon13 wrote "im just saying that change is good". I'm saying it's not necessarily good. We need planning and shared sacrifice, not rhetoric and dogma.

  • your right it is not necessarily good. unfortunately many conservatives (I know now that you are not conservative) are voting against whats best for the country and right now it's change... mainly taking our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan and focusing on this nation's economy and not focusing on what other countries have in their possession which may or may not be weapons of mass destruction.

  • You hold a conservative position, being "not all change is good, let's not change anything. Things are okay the way they are." Now, I agree, we don't have to change everything, but there are some changes that have to be made. We need a better system for health insurance, we need to raise taxes on the higher incomes to help pay off the deficit, and we need to move to a cleaner, renewable source of energy, because we annot continue to sustain our lifestyle on oil.

  • You know damn well I didn't say "nothing should change", so your whole reply is pointless. I was attacking the blanket "change is good" position of whosis; change is change; what kind of change is the issue.

I have several political points of view , some considered liberal, some considered conservative.

By the way, your higher incomes pay the majority of the tax bulk. We have the money, we need to cut spending, mainly on military, where most gov't waste is happening, to pay off the deficit.

  • I said "not ALL change is good"

    I was agreeing with you.

I'm not higher tax income and I certainly support cutting the wasteful spending in the military.

I was trying to agree with you and I'm sorry if I didn't communicate that well.

  • You said my position was "let's not change anything". You said that. But it doesn't matter.

You also said you want raise taxes on higher incomes; but the majority of tax income is from higher income and business taxes. Cut taxes, cut spending at the federal level to minimum basic services and dig ourselves out of several trillion dollars. That's the plan for the next fifteen years; economy's healthy in five or six years, we cash in on the boom and put it all in the debt. Tax the boom, clean up.

  • It's not change for change's sake though - the system is fundamentally flawed, there are several definite changes that must be made. For instance, healthcare - how barbaric is it of us to be the only major nation that denies its citizens simple healthcare? We try to tout ourselves as being so great while we have many shortcomings that need to be addressed - the Republicans just like to pretend they don't exist and stick their heads in the dirt.

  • Quiet you.

  • No thanks.

  • Al Qaeda supporter eh?

  • That's exactly right.

  • Welcome aboard.

  • I think we're done here.

  • Hey GOP fucks: Why not try "faith based" politics? You know - ask sky daddy for help and when it doesn't come, call it a test of your "faith".

  • lool so true.. stupid religious folk.

  • Had they not just spent the last 8 years asleep at the wheel (9-11, needless wars, 35% tax cuts to the rich, destruction of the largest peace time economic boom in our entire history, failing to respond to Katrina, etc) I might be more interested in the emotional needs of our right wing dregs. They certainly didnt give a fuck about our Democracy, national integrity, or financial security when they had the power, so I say FUCK THEM. You dont like Obama? By all means get the fuck out.

  • I grew up in Russia and thought I had come to a free Country. I am thinking seriously of relocating to New Zealand. Before you coloreds say "good riddance", be aware that I will also relocate the more than 200 jobs.

  • Is "more than 200 jobs" the name of the bull from which you got your shit?

  • Touchet!!

  • Do you own a Honda jet too?

  • fuck you it's the internet and people say whatever they want to prove a point

given the grossly generic nature of that comment, I have little to no reason to believe it's true. have fun in NZ you ignorant prick

  • WTH is this "NEW AMERICA" !!?!?!?? I guess in "New America" the constitution is obsolete and so are the rights of the people. These fucking insane McCain and Obama supports are so fucking pathetic. Thanks for destroying our country and our liberties assholes. We had a chance at fixing this country. Their names were Ron Paul and Dennis Kuncinich and you retards fucked it up.

  • Naw Bra its not to late..

  • people say blacks only voted for Obama because he is black, well maybe thats true for a few, but more whites voted for McCain/Palin because they are idiots. thats far worse.

Sarah will NEVER have a chance of being president, she will have more chance of being president of Planned Parenthood than the U.S.

  • man you havent even seen what obama has done 2 days in office i dont even need to start

  • how is that far worse mccain is better than obama and everyone knows it deep inside the ONLY reasons he was picked was because he was black and younger THE ONLY REASON

  • Republicans are upset that McCain couldnt finish the job that Bush started, destroying America, the American economy, and the American Spirit

  • What color is the sky on what planet you come from? Have you been watching how the economy is doing? Look at what Obama has done 9.4% unemployment rate and rising spending out of control that will cause inflation GM and Chrysler nationalized and Health care destroyed.

  • evansville70 you're crazzzy or you do not know what you are saying

Obama did a few months in the office and he is trying to fix what Bush fuck up in 8 years. People are crazy.

  • Nice spin. So lets see what Obama the chosen one has done in a few months. He claimed that his stimulus package will not make the unemployment rate go higher then 8% and now it is 9.4% give it time and many obamanics will jump ship

  • Yes, and it is only getting worse. Do people who talk about Obama inheriting a bad economy from Bush realize that during that time Obama was a senator in the majority party? Was he to stupid to realize the failed policies of Bush or was he incompitent? Maybe he was to busy running for President? Looking at what Obama has done he is following the economic policy of Bush't second term, nationalize, nationalize. Now we have to worry about Socialized Medicine which hasn't worked anywhere.

  • Obama spending is making George Bush look like a fiscal conservative

  • Republican new agenda blame the Dems, I throught the Dems offically took congress in Jan of 2007? When did Obama first started running again..? in Jan of 2007 right?

  • If white...I mean real America wants to secede I would encourage them to do it.

  • yup because were racist when u guys throw a party for the first black president

    you are an idiot

  • Leave boy. You won't be missed.

  • "if he can grasp the concept " woman please u were worshipping a guy who had to buy a C-

  • Native Americans had no choice as to the colour of the men and women who stole their land and future leaders. Be glad you had a vote, even if your guy lost.

  • He spent domestic money.....he can spend qua-drilillion domestic for all i care....as long it is not War spending...

  • well sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan and extending the commitment in Iraq is war spending..........more of the same

  • it's amazing how the turbulance changes when a blackman runs for the highest office in the world debunking racist beliefs. sarah palin is a joke. john mccain deserved better. he is not a leader!

  • black people unite.

  • INBRED WHITE TRASH

  • it's amazing how bush gets a pass after he messed up everything! the country was being lead by a dope fiend alcoholic retard!

  • thats funny you say that.... seeing as how Obama is no different than Bush, in fact they are related. Obama sent 30,000 troops to the middle east and has spent more money in 3 months than Bush did in 8 years..............All politicians are idiots and you are a bigger one for thinking they are any different from each other

  • you're the idiot! you racists can't even call him PRESIDENT OBAMA! president bush stole both elections and destroyed this country even more! the man wasn't qualified to run a lemonade stand!

  • I am a minority by the way, you throw the racist word around where it doesnt exist....watch the news moron and the stock market and tell me Obama is better than Bush.............get off his sack he doesnt give a shit about you

  • ah,i knew we were on different levels. you ignorantly refer to yourself as a MINORITY when people of color outnumber the whites world wide! educate yourself then you can swing in the major leagues!

  • ..and bush doesn't give a fuck about you!

  • the best part is that I dont care, I dont like politicians

  • i don't care for them either. they will lie before a cat can lick his ass!

  • Powel would not run because u guys lost all sense of principles and turned into hateful racist mob . with all the monkey figures and other things u think Powell would identify with you

  • what do you mean by you guys? i am black!

  • Columbia University ,Graduated at the top of his class. Student President of Harvard, And you wonder if he can grasp the whole concept.

LOL, Donkeys never cease to amaze me.

  • Although I am a supporterf of Obama he did not graduate at the top of his class at Columbia and he was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review not student president. Typical ignorant Republican.

  • He was the president of it. There was an article in The New York Times about it in the early 90's.

  • To call someone ignorant is ignorance.

  • Republicans are incompetent, irrelevant and retarded. Go away : )

  • why would you not trust him????????

    that's the question.

  • Because he is a liberal. You place an extremist liberal in a position and expect a conservative republican to trust him. It's not so easy. Trust is built up over time and unless Barack Obama can show that he has the ability to be trusted and initiate those core values and bipartisanship that he has promised on the campaign trail, then the conservative republicans won't be able to trust him.

  • CConservatist in my mind translates to fascist because thats what you fucking are and nobody cares if you don't trust him because first even if he fixes the crises you won't be satisfied second you believe he didn't inherit the mess in the first place which means how can you trust someone who's party started the mess. Even though the mess started when Bush, Reagon and all those fuckers you still be simple-minded and don't think. Your just a stupid-fucking Republican

  • This is a classic liberal making assumptions. Allow me to actually express my thoughts so you don't have to. And I'll even do it without cursing so I don't sound incompetent. Liberalism would be the closest to fascism because it is in favor of a stronger government. If her were to fix the crisis, I would be more than happy with him. In my opinion he is taking the wrong approach and we can see in previous years that what former conservative presidents have done works and helps America.

  • Next off, my "party" didn't start the mess. The Congress who neglected to realize that if they were going to keep giving these loans out to companies that weren't paying them back would possibly fail are the ones to blame. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents are to blame for this economic crisis; as well as the companies who were dishonest and unable to handle money properly.

  • Lastly, as far as Reagan and Bush go, I wasn't alive during the Reagan era, but I hear nothing but good things seeing as the man was elected twice with landslides. Bush had his moments, which would agreeably be more than most presidents had, but nevertheless, not all the fingers should be pointed at him. Congress was the mastermind behind the war seeing as they had to vote for it. Things always lead back to Congress in the end; not always the President.

  • I can understand your anger towards "fascist, ignorant" conservatives, but we're all bigots in this world and no one is open minded to anyone else's ideas but their own. We differ because I look at tax cuts during a recession as a means to reducing debt and getting out of a decline. You, instead, believe that other methods would be of greater significance and will prove to be worthy in the end. To this juxtaposition I say, time will tell.

  • I voted for Obama and I'm proud of my vote. He seems like an intelligent and worthy leader. Thing is, though, a healthy amount of distrust - well, I'll be a little more gentle and call it skepticism - keeps one from getting into a blind fervor over the electee.

Now, if he does a lot of good, which I think he can, then faith is justified. However, if the skepticism is based in racism or anything like that - then, yeah, its BS.

  • "What little we know about this guy is presicely that he is a radical"--I've heard people accuse Obama supporters of not knowing the facts, issues, etc. It sounds like McCain's supporters didn't even try to learn facts. This is after the election, so the guy who made this comment, didn't do his homework, & says himself how little he knew about Obama. How do you know you're voting for the right canidate if you don't know about them both?! At this point it doesn't matter, but how do you NOT know?

  • not only did powell not run he supports Obama

  • Thats because you want him too...

  • exactly. Presidents don't have a big impact on if a country is prosperous or economically weak.

  • Obama won Ohio too.

  • Jindal will never be elected because of people in "Middle America". They're simply too racist.

  • "Jindal will never be elected because of people in "Middle America". They're simply too racist."

I agree with you my friend which is why Jindal has said he will not run in 2012. He knows its people like these that are out there with this mentality, besides he would lose to Obama anyway.

  • Bobby Jindal will never be elected because he's a religious whack job.

  • bobby jinda, lost his chance 'cause he's a repulican freak

  • hahaHA the funny thing is, Warren Harding was the first black president...look it up on Google....i'm serious

  • Rural white people are idiots.

Why didn't Colin Powell see fit to run? Too many white people didn't want to have a black president back then.

"...if he grasp the whole concept," ? What is that bitch thinking? What a racist piece of garbage.

  • It was really funny how white people in the 90's, especially republicans were saying "Oh yes, I'd vote for Powell in a heartbeat" Powell knew tha tthe republicans were too white, too conservative and too exclusive to ever put him on as presidential nominee. I bet you in 2012, the repubs will be touting Jindal the Indian governor from Louisiana, Ken Blackwell, the black republican from Ohio, Lynn Swann, and of course the indeliable Sarah Palin.

  • Yeah a lot of rural whites will say they would vote for Powell, Ken Blackwell, Steele, Swan etc....but I don't believe that. It wasn't even about Obama being a democrat it was his race. Pretty sad.

  • People could argue that it was a bad year for Republicans, but it discounts the arguement that blacks will vote based on race when a black candidate runs against a white candidate. People have tried this arguement in the 2008 election win for Obama. ohio is the bluist of the red states that Obama won and Pennsylvania is the reddist of the blue states. Maryland is just blue-this is where Steele ran and if blacks vote based on race Steele would have won. Maryland is 30%black and a liberal state.

  • I agree and I have been making this argument for a while. I just bring up Condi Rice. Had she ran against Hillary Clinton for example Hillary would get black support while Condi wouldn't have gotten it. But I hear you.

  • Everyone knows the Republicans are KKK in black suits anyway.

  • racism will never go away, there will always be one person that will fuel the fire. And if you REALLY think about it, we're all a little bit racist

  • Yeah we all do have alil racism in us. I agree.

  • You have a right to agree with Jonay, but I disagree.

We may all have degrees of prejudice, but racism is another thing.

  • diah4--- You sound jealous. Let me find out you got his nuts in ya mouth. LOL. Is that YOUR man? you so concerned about his dick. You look like a faggot mutherfucka that take it in the ass anyway. sour booty having bastard.

  • man ppl needa stop making race as an issue for this election.. i mean i didnt vote for obama because he was black, i voted for obama because of the person that he is and things he said he'd do to turn this country around.. and i trully believe he was a better candidate than the other guy

  • Why must this kind of view points be available on AlJazeera and not some major American network? American media sucks.

  • This racist crap is getting really old. I didn't support Obama, and it had nothing to do with his color, it was because of his policies. I did, of course, know plenty of people that only supported him b/c he was half black. I, however, did not support the socialism of America, which is why I could never support someone like Obama.

  • What you should understand is that blacks traditionally vote Democratic. In the past, the black electorate supported white candidates who are Democratic-that doesn't make blacks racist. In 2000 blacks vote 90% for Gore and 88% for Kerry in 2004. These men were both white, which makes your racist claim invalid. How do you explain 53% of Hispanics voting for Kerry in 2004 and voting 67% for Obama in 2008.

  • So why did almost all black people vote for Bill Clinton?

  • Because Bill was smart as hell and not just looking to make the richer. He wanted EVERYONE to get paid and everyone did.

  • but lets face one fact, you voted for mccain because he was not the black candidate either

  • Someone could say ignorant poor rural white people with no college education vote Republicans. The Republicans really don't care that much about them even though they still vote for them and the poor uneducated whites are still poor and uneducated. I call on my fellow blacks to stop putting hope in the Democratic party and become independent or stay out of the white man's government.

  • cjsims, don't ever expect to see another Republican president ever again.

  • Do you know what socialism is? Do you know what racism means? I'm from Canada and Obama is no socialist. He believes in free markets and tax cuts. Socialism means that the government owns most of the means of production and business. The US has checks and balances anyway, so what are you so afraid of. Don't worry the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer, which should make someone like you glad.

  • The US is not an absolute capitalist society first of all. Obama wanting to change the tax policy is hardly "socialism". If that's socialism, and you really want to do away with all things socialists, then we need to get rid of public schools, medicare, social security, HMOs, public hospitals, etc.
