Haven't played WoW in ages (since TBC it sucked balls), in that time till now I've played many games seen many trailers and many cut scenes, and you can say anything you like about other studio's doing a good job, but Blizzard remains unsurpassed, they were already doing the mainstream stuff you see now way back in '04.

Why is it i get the impression, from this trailer, that the Lich King is kind but lonely? He seems so gentle and noble yet he is clearly not. Blizzard certainly didn't intend this but its the feeling i get when i watch it.

Anyone else feel like this? Its his calm and detached nature that gives me this impression.

The graphics are EPIC i mean at 1:03 you can see every link in his mail and the individual snow/ice crystals falling after he sweeps the ice. 0:47 ... the hairs moving in the wind and the resolution in the cloak and glaciers Art. And the Frostmourne graphics woo, its a true flashback to warcraft (3 i think). Thanks for the upload in suck high quality. ^^

in my opinion, the Lich King is Arthas and Ner`zhul, controlled by Ner`zhul, the Lich king has the combined wisdom, power, strength and evilness as both Arthas and Ner`zhul.

In other words the Lich King is controlled by Ner`zhul but has both Arthas and Ner`zhul inside of its armour.

p.s. If it wasn`t for Frostmourne, Illidan would have KO d Arthas at Icecrown Glacier.

Yes, they're making a movie. Legendary Pictures is making it. (They did The Dark Knight...so you know we can expect something AWESOME) The movie is slated for a 2009 release and is atm over the 100 million dollar budget. It will take place from an alliance perspective, is set one year before World of Warcraft (the time period) begins, AND, it will be more like a war movie. So...yes, its kinda like that. God willing, this will make the battles in Lord of the Rings 3 look like small shit.

Bull. Yes, the moment Arthas retrived Frostmourne, he lost his soul, etc etc. But Arthas is not just some "host" for Ner'zhul. Any TRUE WoW loremaster would know that when Arthas put on the Helm of Dominance (Lich king's helm) and the rest of his armor, Arthas and Ner'zhul fused into a single being: the Lich King. There are in-game references to this, even Higlord Morgraine said it outloud while conversing with Tirion Fordring in the Icecrown zone of the game. Learn your proper WoW n00b.

If I may, I'd like to express my opinion on how the Lich King is- He's a perfectly balanced fusion of Arthas and Ner'zhul, which is Canon. I'd just like to state how I think it's balanced. He has Arthas' appearance and personality (Which became severely warped when he lost his soul) but has Nerzhul's wisdom, power, and evil. This new being shares the memories of both Arthas and Ner'zhul. In essence, there is no longer Arthas OR Ner'zhul; only the being that stands now as the Lich King.

Arthas' voice has nothing to do with it. You sir obviously didn't pass 8th grade physics. The reason Ner'zhul's voice is moe dominant is BECAUSE it's deeper, thus has a lower frequency and lower pitch, while Arthas' voice has a higher frequency and higher pitch. The higher the frequency, the less dominant the pitch. Let's think about it this way: If you were to blow on a dog whistle while your friend simultaneously blows on a sports whisle, which would you hear? SW, because frequency's lower.

It is really funny how in all Lich King-related videos such as this one, the info refers to the Lich King as Arthas when that is totally not true. If you take into the concept of how magnificent Ner'zhul's mental dominance over pure undeath is that was granted to him by Kil'Jaeden The Deceiver himself, then you would obviously see that once merged, Arthas' remaining humanity would have diminished. Arthas is nothing more than a mere host for the true Lich King's spirit; the Lich King incarnate.
