  • @Tedham Didn't know "a" was a number

  • fucking monsterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • this dude is not human at allll he is thor and the guitar is the hammer he was sent here by the gods

  • @TRUEGUITARHERO2171 LOL!! he's absolutely human, instead!

  • @Taurie81 LOL

  • So it took about 30 mins or so but I counted all the notes in this song. There is 1905015810951851919a929051951095 just in case you were wondering.

  • "It's a bitch to play" ya think Jeff??

  • you know some shit is hard to play when you write and have trouble playing it, i was going to tackle this but not know, in just not as epic as loomis, sad part ive probably been playing longer than him, "goes to commit suicide"

  • Mile of Machines arpeggios sound alot like Jason Becker Mabel fatal fable Arpeggios. Also we know Jeff Loomis is influence by Jason Becker.

  • Why has this guy never been on the G3 tour?! WHY?!

  • @JacksonMorton because as much as I love the other guys that play on that tour, Mr. Loomis would put them to shame.

  • lol I let my mom listen to his solo album and she actually liked it, even though she hates rock and metal music xD

just goes to show how awesome a musician Loomis is

  • yngwie no longer matters

  • @megasharkify did he ever?

  • @JohnDeathMetal maybe when your thirteen haha

  • It's not a big deal.. It's just.. He's a GOD !

  • it's actually a beautiful series of arpreggios, but I think I liked it better slow on the clean tone ;P

  • you should change the name of the video to " God - Miles Of Machines, Manchester Clinic Oct 6th 09"

  • @ShreDeth6 LOL!

  • @ShreDeth6

    Actually, this title is correct.

as stated in the metal bible that I just made up "And on the first day, Loomis said "And let there be God.' and it was good"

  • @ShreDeth6 Not God, but Archgod...

  • Guitar playing at its finest! By the way, in 2:12 - 2:24 you can clearly hear the Friedman/Becker influence. Loomis is one the best things to happen to rock guitar in recent years.

  • @montecristo73 Loomis is the best things to happen, dot. ;)

  • i want to read a biography ont his modern day speedy mozart. i wish he was my music teacher. lol

  • Masterpiece.

  • I WANTED TO GO TO THIS!

  • @crabappleslikeme I crossed Europe to be there!!! why didn't you go?

  • @Taurie81

Fuck me that is dedication right there.

Well basically I had school the day after and I live 100 miles away from Manchester and my parents were being arsey about it haha. So unfair, I wish he coulda come Birmingham or something.

  • @crabappleslikeme oh, I see...well you can say that it's dedication...I fought with my parents as well, but I think I am a bit older than you so I basically didn't give a shit if they were angry.... :) he also came to italy the week later, in my own fucking town, so I got to see him twice. awesome clinics.....

  • FUCK THIS MEN FUCKING OWESOME FUCK /FUCK.

  • he messes some note but it's ok he's human like us not machine, this song is amazing

  • My fingers get tired just from watching this!!!

  • Ohh well if he messes up a few times, u know how hard this dam song is to play? And get all the bends and pinch harmonics right? Let's see u make a song up like this and make it as hard, can't do it over night, he probly spent days in studio recording this so it's perfect.

  • @TheKKK6666 I agree, I don't care if Jeff messes up, he's a human just like us and he is a fucking great song writer and guitar player...the best, I would say. this song is awesome, how could he write something like this!

  • this version has so many differences in it than the other ones ive heard. He even fucks up and forgets to play the pinch harmonic part half way through the song during the mellow slow part so yeah, he really plays the shit out of that guitar!!!!!!

  • @deadeyeseenogod he does!! he's really the best player around, no mistake...

  • For people saying it's fake, never underestimate practice, repetition, and determination. Just because most of the population can't play it, doesn't mean there aren't individuals who practice something so much, that it's actually HARDER for them to MESS UP than it is to play it perfectly.

  • @scott7d totally agree...and if you are a NM fan you know that Jeff always says that he spent his WHOLE adolescence in his room playing and practising. if he didn't do that he wouldn't be where he is now....

  • Of course it's fake, as Jeff would totally spend £45 million pounds to construct a clone of himself with robotic fingers to make the song playable. But in all seriousness, some people on this planet still immaturely cry out "fake"? I feel sickened to be a human among these people.

  • @Curoch

    your on crack

  • @BUFFW I think my comment was sarcastic?

  • Of course he's playing it live. Are you stupid? Any decent guitarist could tell he's actually playing it.

  • @bstaley yeah,man...but I think this comment has been made only to provoke... :)

    Hail Loomis!!

  • You Know Something? Everytime I Hear This Song Live On Youtube Or Somewhere It Always Sounds The Same!!! It's Always With The Track In The Background!!! He Has To Mess Up Sooner Or Later!!! This Makes Me Wonder If He Really Plays This Live Or If He Just Pretends To Play? Before You Argue With Me, Go See For Yourself!!!

  • @DylanBStringer91 I can assure you he plays it live....if you don't wanna aruge then please stop saying such bullshits, he's a professional and I won't allow such comments............it's with the track in the background of course, he was touring alone....

  • @Taurie81 Totally. Just watch John Petrucci. You think he's playing from a track, but nope, he's just that damn perfect. Besides, I can see the odd note which Jeff doesn't bend quite the same Etc. Any guitarist can tell this is live, and it's not 100% perfect, but it's damn close.

  • @reignofrock of course, man...and I was there, for fuck's sake, so I can tell!! Jeff is always great....

  • @DylanBStringer91 so how come i can go to several loomis videos and read this same comment. he makes a lot of "playing" noises live, which are cut out in the album version, hence hes playing it. if you've watched any of his lessons you'd know he'd dedicated his life to guitar and has the technique to prove it.

  • @DylanBStringer91 Of course man, thanks for the comment!!

  • @DylanBStringer91

Because Jeff Loomis is a straight fucking boss. You can hear how he bends differently every now and then. And if you skip to about 4:20 you can see where he jumps the octave on that riff. He doesn't do it on the album.

  • I've got the GP-TAB TO SIX STRINGS ARRANGMENT, if you want it only send me a message. To see how i PLAY THIS SONG only you have to visit my channel.. : ). THX

  • he sounds kinda like paul gilbert

  • My friend was there, lucky bastard. I hope he plays England again, I'd travel a million miles for Loomis.

  • @Curoch would you travel over a million miles of machines?

  • @DaEnglishWeiner As long as I am wearing shoes. Scattered metal parts can be sharp and unforgiving on my bare feet. Speaking of which, I've just booked tickets to see Nevermore tuesday. Will be my first time and I think the last time I was this excited for a concert was when I was 5 and I saw the Wiggles. I will carry on waiting to see Jeff perform his solo stuff though.

  • Inspiring!

  • heres a question for sum1 who knows a bit about guitar... Him or becker?? am not a fan of faggots that debate who best all the time but a had to ask lol

  • @yngwierhoads1989 Honestly I can't say one's better than the other. They're both amazing, but in different styles. That and if Becker had never gotten sick, who knows how much better he would be today or what kind of crazy shit he'd be doing. Just my opinion though.

  • thank god hes not mesa... seriously they aren't really all that cracked up to be, its just a name your buying with mesa, unless you get one of those awesome vintage models.

  • @custommade21 yeah there not that good my other guitarist has a Mark V and its not that good, distortion sucks, my B52 AT100 kills it in the crunch area

  • Loomis is a Jedi master. This song is so hard to play!

  • hey can you please send me a copy of that tab?i really love that song . iwanna learn how to play it.. bro..

  • I thought he played ENGL amps?

  • @Xxthedead89xX he does normally, but they had a problem with the distributor and hadn't been able to get the ENGL amps there on time.

  • I've got the tab and the BT for six strings of this song......¡¡¡ IF YOU WANT THIS ONLY SEND ME A MESSAGE : )

  • @GuevaraLucas thanks a lot, but i am not THAT good at playing guitar! ;)

  • @GuevaraLucas send it to me ill give it a shot

  • hahaha wat he says at 00:40..lol its funny to hear someone as great as he is at guitar to admit something like that, well then again no matter how good your are, doesnt mean that playing guitar is easy, it gets easier with practice but not "easy" in general, you still gotta try hard even if your at his kinda level..

  • Awesome, someone's finally uploaded footage from this.

I was there too, he put on a really good show and seemed like a really nice guy.

  • those must have been fucking EPIC pictures at 3:20 if you read this and took those pics post em up

  • 2:00 some of the best arpeggios ive ever heard

  • both the main intro riff and that riff from 2:00 are beautiful neo-classical badass arpeggios :)

  • so?

  • im just to the right!

  • fucking amazing

  • wow is he with Mesa now...

  • no, they just couldn't get him the ENGL for that clinic

  • yeah i seen that in the other video lol..

He made the Mesa sound pretty good but it doesn't compre to his SE

  • all i can say is WOW! jeff you always amaze me

    =]

  • or MAB

  • he is fast like a god but dont forget about the flawnessless of john petricci

  • what.

  • john petrucci of dream theater

  • Yeah. I fail to see what he has to do with this video.

  • omg! The master himself thinks the intro is a bitch! :D

Kind of funny but nevertheless did he play it flawlessly! Jeff, we're not worthy of your excellence! :D

  • oh yes, he did play it flawlessly! you should have seen him play it live...it gave me goosebumps :)

  • its more than i can play omega lol, i got the fingerings for the sweeps down but am just not fast enough yet

  • i was at this gig too and i agree the intro sweeps are impossible. then again i suck at guitar

  • @seanatstoke yeah they are a pain in the ass XD but its the only part of the song i can play lol

  • I have no idea how he remembers all the notes omg!

  • its muscle memory trust me i cant play allot of my shit slow but i can fast lol its just how any good player of any instrument is. and if u wont to see a guy do it almost as good as jeff look up jonny barvo he's a beast.

  • no, it's not playable except from Jeff!

  • been practising the intro riff forever now, it's not playable!
