  • Your brain calculates everything before hand then your inhibitory neurons cancel out everything except the decision. That can produce a quantum effect perhaps. But your glial cells release a single calcium atom when stimulated. Perhaps for quantum entanglement?

  • I read about that. I thought it was already proven though in photosynthesis.

  • I read that issue in prison.

  • Surely there should be an apostrophe in "quantum physics effects"? ahahaha, it's funny that that annoys me

  • what do you mean by "non-local" ??

  • Google non-local and lots of good pages come up.

Non-locality has been proven to exist. Entanglement shows that particles can affect each other instantaneously at great distances, and so on. Watch "Our Non-Local Universe":

    watch?v=CBPBc4iZtro

But it gets even stranger than that. Watch "Local Realism Bites the Dust":

    Thanks for writing,

    Rob

  • I really enjoy your videos, it's really brainstorming. However, I don't understandsome of the principles scientist use, the philosophy of mathematics. For instance, if you draw a short curved line freehand and try to describe it or define it, you would probably write some math formula and find out its a piece of a wave or spiral (if it's drawn on some curved surface).

  • So, when you describe it with math formula you are defining a "space" in witch that freehand line is, but that doesn't mean that the whole spiral or wave exists, you've drawn just a short line, you can't use a formula to prove that there is more than just there is. The way I see it same thing goes for this theory of non-locality.

  • We can't "measure" so we "define" or "describe" it's state by math formulas, then in experiments we use that as a proof that one's particle state can define others particle states... I guess I'm missing something, or most of it, please help.

  • Right! this guy goes into a bar, orders a whisky, then turns to the crowd and shouts:"Heey! when Mike drinks everybody drinks". People go "Hurray!" Drinks served and drunk,Mike takes a coin from his pocket, puts it on the bar and shouts again:"and when Mike pays, everybody pays. Ha-ha-h!!!! OK Be like that then. Go and ruin my joke!!! :)

  • A neutron walks into a bar for a few drinks and when it tries to pay, the barman says

    "For you, NO CHARGE! "

    lol

Lets say for the sake of the joke that Neutrons have legs, money, thirst, and tiny rooms that sell drinks.

  • A guy walks into a bar, and end up in an ambulance.

  • I don't see reason to lay such a question. In general there is question if life utilizes all layers of physics up to gravity, which is last one for Earths life. Second possible question is, if there is option being fourth dimensioned object projected by higher orders to utilize some effects existing in next dimensions. Here the answer is negative: in red dwarf history is projected from mutated photos, no way for insiders...

  • you know, this makes a lot of sense. Just imagine how our understanding will increase when the unified field theory is written down and accepted.

  • Hi DoctorYoon, from one Doctor to another, llololl....if you want "our" understanding to increase, please tell people to study:history, philosophy, geography, understanding of human pschology, maths,etc.etc. As a Doctor, you should be able to influence people easily, but only in the right direrction. Have a nice day.

  • Two thirds of all Youtube commenters have an opinion. 66% of peole agree with this.

  • hi SpacedTime, please don't make "Statistical suppositions/generalisations". 66% of "what" people? The ones you've chosen?

    Regards.

  • Read it agan and you might see it was a joke.

I said that 66% of people agree that they have an opinion. But you see, to agree, first you have to have an opinion which makes 100%.

and my joke is now quite ruined.

  • Hi SpaceTime, I'm terribly sorry, man. OK.just to make up I'll tell you a joke.

  • Well, actually photosynthesis and the kreb's citric acid cycle might be the most important thing in the world, considering we wouldn't make it without them. Whether plants use quantum effects or not though, is beyond my meager IQ. My voting in favor of it would be meaningless.

  • We start with a void, zero... then a point avails itself, then it pulsates, then it reflects off itself (doesn't make sense does it) then we have infinite points... then an interference pattern develops & we think this is reality... I mean this all happens instantly at the sametime... you can't be linear about this stuff ;)

  • I love Rob's videos! Not sure that I care for the polls. Science fact by popular opinion? ..but then again maybe that's the way it works?

  • 53% of apples do not agree with this statement

  • oh yeah? well uhh.., my numbers go up when you sample just the Macintoshs:P

  • We really went in different directions with that one.

I heard a Terrence Mckenna lecture just yesterday, where he gives an example of plant intelligence. I'll see If I can attach it.

  • nice one :)

  • yes it makes sense that plants would utilize quantum effects.

  • Quantum mechanics catalyzed the beginning of life on Earth? Quantum mechanics say 'if it can happen, it will', and so here we are...?

  • I'd say I could still answer yes to the question when modified to describe consciousness (or life) on the assumption that all the reasoning beforehand is sound and truly represents "reality".

    Great vid Rob. *****

  • wow that was such a good post. and for the shaman question?

since there should be a vast array of parallel dimensions, infinite, heck, anyones daydream to the lines drawn in sand could be entangled or interpreted as other dimensions. so sure

  • yes

  • no, this makes no sense at all. How would you know anyways ? ¬_¬

  • In the description box I've provided the link to the article from Discover magazine that this blog entry used as reference. You can read about the scientists who conducted these experiments there.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  • We know because of scie...

You make me sad for humanity, but 10thdim brings my hopes back up. I love this dude.

  • Hi Pivital..

Exactly...Because of suppositions (like the speaker above claiming) like these we deviate from the truth. Truth is simple and uncomplicated. There is nothing special about plants. It is all a matter of "temperature co-efficiency" that this whole life thing has evolved around. But people, like the "10thdim" and his followers, make it look something like, as if, it was the most important thing in the world.

  • People are generally known to make existence of life queer. Then they apply this function to all supreme sets, just because THEY are in. In love with microbes... mostly alien ones.

  • hi konikula, hope you're well.I like using simple language in explain things,i need a bit more clarification from you to understand your point.However,10thdim's case is simpler.Obviously he is a very intelligent person. He uses pedagogy to explain things.Science is an "exact" form of explaining things happening around us.He uses complicated methods of intelligence and superimposes them on different things.Good clever trick. Politicians use it all the time.

  • You have, from my viewpoint, attacked 10thdim's position by showing attempts to allocate flowers into quantum space to be just doing flowers special, somehow. I only generalized your attack into form, which shows people making themself special, and making special everything, what forms base for their existence..

  • And so do humans;)

  • YES
