In games like Arma2 where the helicopters mightve been made of paper its important. You still have the advantage when running on the ground (you can see people run up beside you others cant) but its not as crucial as when flying, imo.

hey guys, when i run this game on anysettings from high-low, i get fps lag spikes alot on SP and MP. My specs are:

Windows XP 32-bit

ASRock N68-S Motherboard

2x1GB Kingston DDR2 RAM (Dual-Channel)

AMD Phenom II X4 995 Black Edition

Ati Radeon HD 5850 TOXIC (Full OC'd on ATi Overdrive)

Running game at 1680x1050

I used fraps and my fps is normally 20, then it sinks to 1-3 for about a second, then 15... etc. I tried it on a dell xps with an i7 (not overclocked) and i was getting probably 50-60 fps on low with 4x AA and 8c anisoptric filtering. Is this an Windows XP/ DirectX 9 problem?
