Thank you for loading this and for answering when you took the video. I hesitated in emailing it to my mother (I thought she'd get too upset that I ran in that kind of weather), but good job, Waheric. Congrats to all the runners who finished. I can't believe the hordes of people finishing in the video...wow! We are NUTS!
Thanks for uploading the accurate account of what the conditions were like when I finished my first marathon ever!!! I had a fantastic time... monsoon and all! Congrats to all who gutted it out and finished and thank you tremendously to all the volunteers! I LOVE LA!!!!
thank you for posting this video... this is around the time i crossed the finish line! it was unbelievable! after the finish line i had to walk around 4 miles to go meet with my family and then back to the parking lot! your video is the best gift ever! amazing.... my friend from japan came to see me run!!! oh boy i felt so bad! she had to be in this weather and get all wet!

LAM is such a challenging race for me! Heavy rain, 30mile per hour wind, flooded streets and freezing weather didn't stopped the runners from reaching their goal. I am just so PROUD that we all did such a great achievement that day. It will never be forgotten...THANX to all the VOLUNTEERS and the support of LA community!!! You guys are the BEST!!!!
this video makes me feel more like a bigger badass ;) congrats to me and all the finishers. thank you volunteers, friends and family for suffering along w/ us!
This was taken some time around 1pm. All the people who ran this year and finished are amazing. The poor people crossing the finish line also had really no place to go after they finished to get out of the rain. They had to walk another 3 blocks to the family center area.
I showed this video to my family and friends that thought I was exaggerating what the weather was like ... after they watched it they just kind of looked at me with really wide eyes, and said "you ran 26 miles in that!!!" It was nuts ... just nuts.
Great training for the next marathon, but this really SUCKED!!

That was the toughest marathon I have ever done. Had friends come all the way from the UK to join me - how bad did I feel !!
Huge thanks to the 2000 out of the 6000 volunteers that actually turned up on the day !

Pretty crazy day. The rain drops felt like gunshots on my back and we had to walk another mile to get to the Civic Center.

That's not rain and wind. It's smog and traffic noise!
