There's no difference between the thirteen-inch aluminum MacBook (the one in this video) and the thirteen-inch aluminum MacBook Pro besides the name, right? They basically renamed the normal MacBook to "MacBook Pro."

No they are a tiny bit different. The new MacBook Pro 13 has an SD card slot instead of an express card slot, the battery is no longer that easy to get to but you get about an extra hour or so of battery life. Also all of the new Pros have backlit keyboards and they have better screens. So basically this was a small but welcome revamp of the Apple MacBook/ MacBook Pro.

All I'm saying is the alu macbook has way to glossy of a screen. And if you don't think so you haven't seen one in real life. Bottom line, don't even say the screen is fine. Sure you could by a matte film for it, 50 dollars? The sony vai FW I bought has a faster processor, writes CD's and DVD's faster, 200 More gigs of memory, 4 gigs vs. 2 gigs of ram, High def gaming too. All for 1400, the basic macbook is 1200 right? Yeah...But one thing I love about any mac is the included awesome software.

You can buy a matte film for this PC for 35 dollars, if taken outside it would be good as a mirror. The matte film can't be taken off and put back on, and if air bubbles arise (which will happen) you can take a pin and poke the bubble and squeeze the air from the outside in.

It has 2.0 Ghz and 4GB RAM with 160 GB HD, It is my very first mac. I work with photoshop and flash alot as i am a website designer too. They have recommended me this since it has also a very good Graphic int. card. i am glad that i have purchased the 4gb ram because it is so so fast. A question that i have is: I need a very good and comfy bag for it and aldo a sleeve to avoid it from scratching. Any recomendations ?

I would go for the extra ram over the higher speed. Keep in mind that higher clocks also mean lower battery life and more heat.

the speakers are behind the mac where the hinge is and also the fans. 2 gb of ram is really good but 4 gb means that you will have no problems with running for example 5 apps at once. The better mac is more useful because it has 250 gb hard drive which means you wont need a extra hard drive. 160 gb gets used up incredible quickly. Also you get the light up keys with the 2.4 ghz mac. it is faster and has a better intel. go for the better one.

Thats not true. I know some professional who still use Mac Minis for Photoshop work. 2.0 Macbook will run Photoshop very smoothly. Just increase the RAM to 4 Gigs and you're golden.

get the macbook, Hp's have too many issues, especially with drivers updates, noisy fans, overheating, and unnecessary trial software that slows down and come pre-installed on the hard drive. I've noticed that all my college/ high school/ professional art teachers prefer macbooks for some reason.

Older ones. But its more about vista. Vista takes up lots of ram and some processing power to run. And vista has way too many problems, just look up the reviews. Leopard is amazing and much more internet safe, however it has a lack of programs compared to vista/xp. You can always run it in bootcamp though, but its kind of against the point of getting a mac. I agree that the old macbooks were overpriced, these are fair.

The new HP Dv2 announced at CES today is VERY appealing, but so is the MacBook AL-Unibody. I now want one but I also want the NVidia 9600M GT dedicated video and YES games like Crysis is possible.
