This ended when turkish jets napalmed a Greek Cypriot village killing many women and children and after this there was no intercommunal violence.

@Maylardim ….The weapons you talk about were the weapons of the National Guard which was created in 1964 in response of influx of thousands of turkish soldiers into Cyprus and turkish jets trespassing into its fly zone. In 1967, intercommunal violence began when TMT attacked National Guard who were patrolling a turkish Cypriot enclave. This ended when turkish jets napalmed a Greek Cypriot village killing many women and children and after this there was no intercommunal violence.

During this many Greek Cypriots fought against the coup and were killed, but no turkish Cypriot had been involved in any fighting. On the 20th turkey invaded after the US and UK rejected it’s application for intervention and took 3% island killing many Greeks and leaving many as refugees. You say it was under the Treaty of Guarantee but it says that any action taken by the guarantors…
