Well if I offended you, I apologize. I myself have been caring for my own disabled mother since I was 11 years old, I am now 32 and she is approaching 61. I will never know what it means to have a retirement. I will die with no children of my own, as I opted instead to raise my mother. While there are plenty of kids with no concept of work or sacrifice, I have never been one of them, yet precious few of my own elders can believe it. Maybe we could all be more astute.

The Constitution citizens keep referencing, does not apply to American citizens who are suspected of terrorism. Anyone who says they are against the established rule of law automatically forfeits their rights as citizens.
In our post-9/11 world, everyone is suspect.
Over the next few months, every citizen will understand first-hand why law enforcement is actively rolling out a terror-response mandate.
This is why protecting the population from terror, requires dissolution of the US Constitution.

My father fought at Iwo Jima. He received a commendation for restoring coms under fire. I had an uncle who fought on Guadalcanal. Another uncle fought in Sicily under Patton. A 3rd uncle on Okinawa and later committed suicide..
I wish I could ask them things now. My Guadalcanal Uncle liked "Bridge Over River Kwai" a lot. William Holden they ALL could identify with better I think.

aint no way in hell gingrich won south carolina. had to cancel appearances because lack of attendance while ron paul has a packed house at his appearances yet gingrich wins 40% of the vote. hell no. the establishment just doesnt want gingrich to drop out because with only 3 remaining candidates it will be too obvious to ignore paul any longer

What I don't understand about the elderly who support the establishment is don't they realize that they're not voting for theymselves? They're not going to be around much longer! They're going to be dead soon! Old people need to realize that when they go to the voting booth, they're voting for their children & grand children. They need to stop thinking about themselves and their precious benefits and strat thinking about their progeny.

@maidenak They feel entitled as 'the greatest generation' and 'pulled themselves up by their bootstraps'. That basically shortcircuits any real empathy for the youth. The youth feel their future was stolen by an inheritance of huge debt, so, of course they harbor their own animosity.

I have been awake for over 9 years and have done my research like all you guys. My parents who are seniors were these people who Alex talked about. At first when I tried to tell them they laughed and brushed me off as, "ok son whatever you say" But slowy I got to them and slowly I started to wake them up. Now they longer get flu shots, they got a water dispensor in their home for waterwith no fluoride, they know all about the TSA and DHS how evil it is and I have now awoken them to Ron Paul!

He brags about having 11 televisions in his house, watches Law & Order religiously and refers to anything he sees on TV as "real life." Also, at 61 he's bordering Alzheimer's. Probably from the poor diet and vaccines. Really painful to deal with him.

I didn't claim to "know what older women have gone through". My comment had the title of an article which Alex himself often cites. If you had read further, you would maybe see that I also stated that I greatly miss having elders in our society that were worth respecting. I even say that we all are missing out on entire generation of wisdom and learning. Of course there are exceptions- are you one of them? Be an example, we need that sorely. Good day.

Well if I offended you, I apologize. I myself have been caring for my own disabled mother since I was 11 years old, I am now 32 and she is approaching 61. I will never know what it means to have a retirement. I will die with no children of my own, as I opted instead to raise my mother. While there are plenty of kids with no concept of work or sacrifice, I have never been one of them, yet precious few of my own elders can believe it. Maybe we could all be more astute.

@benskin79 The problem with old people is that they automatically think they deserve respect though they're done little to nothing to change things. Racism still exists to a great extent because of them. Who else would teach their children to hate? It comes from the family, and it comes from THEM. Nobody deserves respect until that respect is EARNED. My husband comes from a family of alcoholics who almost ruined his life, so I know that it's true that older people are not that special.
