  • The Burning Red and Supercharger are two albums that are going to haunt Machine Head's career forever. Granted The Burning Red does have 3 solid songs on it, but once you look at the image they were going for you really wonder how you can take them seriously anymore. Luckily Through The Ashes Of Empires, The Blackening, & Unto The Locust REALLY overshadows these.

  • @MetalMovieReviews and what songs off the burning red might that be?

  • @guitarzane97 Silver, the title track, & The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears are the three. As for Supercharger, Bulldozer was the only song I can say I really enjoy listening too from that album!

  • @MetalMovieReviews i totally agree! lol. but i think trephination is also a pretty heavy track off of supercharger^_^

  • @guitarzane97 Trephination is okay. One of the better tracks but still not great compared to Bulldozer! But the Hole In The Sky cover from the deluxe edition is really good though.

  • He looks like that dude out of sum 41. This is embarassing.

  • @LethalJizzle I actually thought it WAS him, thought it was some trolling vid or something but turns out to be real. I'm really happy they changed that shit.

  • I actually fucking hate Machine Head before through the ashes of empires. But this song just makes me jizz in my pant

  • Danm, they have changed a lot!!!

  • what a fucking shit is this video

  • SELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Every time I see these guys live, they give it their all...much respect

  • I wonder what kind of stupid clothes or hair shit they tried to make Adam do before he had to lay down the law.

  • You Gotta Love Experimenting Some times there good top three experimental albums Load by (Metallica), The Burning Red By Yours truley Machine head, and Either Metallica's ReLoad, MH Supercharger, Motley crue Generation Swine, KoRn's See you on the other side or Slipknot's Vol. 3 Subliminal Versues I think Slipknot wins people

  • The Burning Red Gives it A Nu-Metal Edge with a majority side of exploring And defining there music in New Elements of there band perspective which i love most while Supercharger gives them some what nu metal but more of Alternative Rock and NU-Metal approach with a cooler rapping style and more of a slighty faster sound than The Burning Red But still maintain a mainstream sound for the audenice which i love about it also The Burning Red 9/10 and SuperCharger 8.5/10 My Natural opinon

  • God, they're we're pretty ugly back then. Still think Supercharger and The Burning Red are two pretty average albums, they're not bad, they have some highlights. But yes, oh god yes, they're so much better now.

  • @StanHowser Bump up if you think He need to piss off

  • MH is and was a average metal band. Their credibility was lost when The Burning Red came out, and the "From This Day" music video exposed them of trying to jump on the nu metal bandwagon. MH sucked at playing nu-metal. The Burning Red and Supercharger were terrible albums even by nu metal standards. MH fans are biased so of course they are going to say that they were still good during that period. Fanboys.

  • @StanHowser So by all intensive purposes, we're wrong in liking this music because we like this music. You do understand how insanely dumb that sounds right? I can understand how VISUALLY MH declined in this period and if that were the argument in case I would completely agree. However, theyre apperell not been the focal point. MH has been a foundation in the metal genre for nearly two decades. Where some call jumping the bandwagon I say adaptation you have to know what sells and they clearly do.

  • @DamianDurionOFFICIAL I don't see you selling thousands of albums.

  • @StanHowser i love machine head but i really don't like those records and you're right they knocked their credibility casue they did appear to be jumping on the bandwagon with those albums.

still, 3 bad years from 19 isn't bad. and they only really play stuff from their 4 other albums live, so they know the mistakes they made.

  • @StanHowser opinions are opinions even though those 2 albums are nu metal i still think it was well written music and definately had their moments, machine heads credibility obviously wasnt lost because they went on to sell tons of albums after. You call people fanboy because they like those albums I can call you a hater because you dont....opinions are opinions.

  • Always loved MH and i like a bit of numetal - its better than that faggot norwegian shit that doesnt even sing in english. Anyone who thinks MH isnt metal - check out Ten Ton Hammer

  • Let's face it, they were going for nu metalish stuff at this point, but they were better at it than the bands on the radio

I'm glad they are back to the real shit though

  • Robb Flynn on this video is dressed like typical raver from 90s...

  • @urin they are fucking trash metal ... maybe this song is like nu but just this song and maybe davidian have some aspects of nu ... but if you listen other their songs you will see that you are really wrong with that "nu metal band"

     ...

  • great numetal band!

  • such a great nu metal band <3

  • such a catchy chorus i think :P

  • Sure it was weird seeing that Nu Metal era in Machine Head, but, who cares? the song kick ass, that why Im watching this in 1st place.

  • think*

  • well i thinks they sound better live

  • BOAR DIE HAUN REIN !!!

  • Kad porastem sviracu kao Soulfly :)

  • Powerful !!!

  • .....is it possible for these guys to make a bad song?! I THINK NOT!!!

    MFH!!!

  • 23 lil wayne fan can go kill themselves

  • Now that's why MH will never be recognized as a first rate band...They eagerly wanted quick success, but to succeed in the long run, you have to stay true to yourself and not try to copy somebody else, who just sold more albums than you did. At first they were SepulturaPanteraBIohazardish, than they became KoRnish and then even went to pop rock with Superchager, and when even that didn't collect the money, they once again followed the trend and became badass heavy metallers with long hair but...

  • @snupcho ummmm............not really. theyve stated that on the burning red and supercharger they were under a lot of pressure from their record label to be more nu-metal (or, i'm assuming, they would lose their contract). TTAOE was released on a different label and was much more badass and definitely true machine head. hell you can even hear true machine head on the bridge to this song, though not as much in the rest. if they were ever in it for the money theyve gone back to their true selves

  • robb flynn du geiledreckzauuuuu!

  • well, i think its a cool song, a bad ass performance, but.. clothing is way over the top! and the tambourine within the chorus..... hm i dont know....

  • the drummer in this video is Eminem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • god this is horrible

  • This song is much better from the studio then this live crap (I've been raping it on my ipod) so dont think that i have something against this band its freaking awesome

  • Rob looks like a fucking faggot

thank christ he has a better look now

  • As much as I love nu metal and Machine Head, seeing them look like this makes me piss my pants with laughter. You guys shouldn't be asking why Roadrunner pressured them to make a nu metal album, you should be asking what the fuck was going through Rob's head when he decided to have dumb-looking spiky blond hair and wear a fucking bright red tracksuit. I mean, holy shit. XD

  • @Garganchonimous

i like that era so my favorite is The More Things Change

but Rob is looking weel is not bad ....

    bla bla

    MH rulz

  • Even when they went through they're fag stage they were still good.

  • ugh... this is the era of machine head that SHOULD NOT be spoken of.... smh

  • SLAYER RULEEESSSS

  • What I can't seem to understand is why RoadRunner Records pressured Machine Head to create a sound similar to KoRn and Limp Bizkit, when they had Coal Chamber, Soulfly and Slipknot on their record label already.

  • @SickIncKamikaze I enjoyed the outcome very well. Of course the record companies want more money, but thats what happens.

  • @SickIncKamikaze Because Coal Chamber, Slipknot, and Soulfly were selling a lot of records while Machine Head were only doing OK.

  • ´Haahaha nu-metal.......so fuckin 90's. Goof thing they got better. Tihis sucks ass!!

  • their best songs. all the others suck. except davidian

  • hadnt heard of machine head before 2day but i have now and i like it.

  • glad dat machine head doesnt look lik diz no mor! in my opnion da musik from the blackening album iz bttr dn wat dey hav writtn in da past years. just my opinion!

  • Dumbass Trend Jumpers.

  • @constrict im sorry mate but they have diverse influences. they are form the bay area for fuck sake, its were thrash and hardcore-hiphop came from. the image thing was forced on them by the record companya ndits why they quit. but god all bands have a few style changes through their history. look at fucking tallica.

  • Fucking bad ass performance. No matter what style of music these guys chose to play (and its all honest and from the heart) they fucking destroy! MFH!! I'm a fan and i love everything they've ever put out.

  • I don't care what any of you say, i am a true Machine Head fan and I love all of their stuff, ALL OF IT!, they can't fail to amuse me, i actually don't see what is wrong with this song tbh

  • Heh, Flynn from the days where he looked like a total douchebag haha :> Good he dumped that look, Machine Head is an awesome band

  • They weren't really copying Limp Bizkit. There are only 2 songs on this album with rapping on, like Flynn himself said. Most of it was quite heavy, stuff like Devil With The King's Card and Five. I thought so, anyway. Supercharger had more rap.

  • supercharger was my second favorite album:) (after the blackening of course)

  • so glad they dont look like this anymore or make music like this anymore all muddied with effects and what not, no that this is a terrible song just recent stuff since through the ashes of empires they've been far better

  • @wrwales thats how i feel. this stuff isnt bad. but ashes and the blackening are just sooooo much better

  • "it makes you move jean pierre bacry" " yes it's so far of Celine dion " LOOOOOOOL

  • machine head rules you bitches of metal

  • Machine head kicks ass I don't give a fuck what you think.

  • LOL sup nigga? It's Robb Flynn in da houzze!

He would totally say that, if you read his blogs!

  • i dont know what you guys are all bitching about about them being sell outs with this album. Flynn says how he never wanted to make the same album twice. He made a COMPLETELY different album with this so I say that his attitude towards his music never changed in the least bit. they never 'sold out'. They just stayed true to their original promise.

  • God, money must be really nice if you are willing to prostitute your dignity for a little. If MH got as big as the primary nu metal bands, then I may have understood, but come on. They lost fans like me forever following this garbage, although their cover of "Hole in the Sky" from this time is awesome.

  • say what you want, that's a good tune.

  • I've met Rob a few times and he sounds like he regretted doing this.

  • I don't see how you can go from Vio-Lence to this. Robb would probably cringe if he watched this now.

  • I love This Fuckin' song

  • "Come on NPA make some noize!"

God, I wish Robb and Co. went back to this style, but I'm probably the only one.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks that hairstyle is really cool as well.

  • No man, you're not the only one! I also wish they'll come back to this style, i love nu metal! The Burning Red and Supercharger are my fav MH albums, i also love The More Things Change. I also love this hairstyle and i think it's awesome.

  • Nah I agree, they made fun nu-metal, they're too fake to pull off proper metal. Not that many would people would notice, because all their fans are simple trend followers anyway with respect for anything except the guidelines laid down by mass market "metal" magazines looking to jerk off the latest cash cow

  • this band is the shit they are one of the reson i keep up with rock they are the shit and rap is crap

  • fuck you

  • I LOVE THIS !!

  • fuck you all machine head is real metal

    machine head we trust

  • Real metal cos they were groove when Pantera was cool, nu-metal when KoRn was cool, now metalcore after all those cheesy US bands like Killswitch Engage are cool, what's so "real" about going with what sells best at the time?

  • @InlandIce96 real metal The Burning Red album and speacially this song? this is nu metal masterpiece, but nu metal, not "true" metal.

  • @Vhaldemar90 the burning red is nu metal, all they other albums are real metal listen the blackening brother the blackening is real metal

  • @SUFFOCATIONANAL there is no such thing as "real" or "fake" metal. Music is subjective.

  • @Slipstream720 I mean what real metal is that the discs are great, if you understand me brother?

  • it was only a brief period they were like this

  • Comment removed

  • no such thing as false metal you dubmbass, machine head rules

  • @DTRASH No such thing as false metal. Just different kinds of Metal.

  • the bassist is the only one that looks the same as he does now, like a viking :D awesome

  • yeeeehaaa!!!machine f******rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wasn't a huge fan of the Mighty Head taking this route, but if they were feeling it, good for them. The Burning Red was still a good album. And they pissed over other bands taking this route during this brief trip, heavier and more crushing than pretenders; not to mention tits in red caps.

  • énorme Bacri .... "ah ...c'est très loin de Céline Dion !!! "

  • who gives a shit what thay look like.. thayr one of the greatest bands ever and thay have amazing songs and if you people odntl ike that i think you shouldnt comment on thees vids at all... MACHINE FUCKING HEAD!!

  • ROFL, this is Machine Head in 2000!! Holy shit Rob Sucks at rapping, Fucking Limp Bizkit wannabe's, Machine Head has got to be the biggest sell outs ever, Thrash and Guitar solo's are popular now, so suddenly they got a solo in every single fucking song

  • its abit true .

i myself love the cd's Burn My Eyes and Ten Ton Hammer.

after that it went downhill with The burning Red , but they getting abit back with The Blackening

  • I like the blackening it is a pretty good album, but for them to start shit with Limp Bizkit, lol, they would have sucked Fred Dursts cock 10 years ago to be on the same stage, but now that Metallica and real metal is cool again, they are gonna do the trendy thing and hate on a band thats no longer popular, Rob is a cool guy, but for him to be mad about the bookings, Limp sold 30 million records, and have been gone for 8 years, so wtf can he expect, its just high school schoolyard bullshit.

  • well back when they released Burn my Eyes thrash was in no way popular at all in fact metal was almost dying on its arse but they still released one hell of a thrash album.

  • although i am fucking glad they no longer look like this:P however the music is still kicking ass!

  • WHAT????!!!!! "Solos are popular NOW"???..."suddenly they got a solo in every song"??? Retard!!! Solos have been popular with metal since like the 70's or when Metal first came up!!! DUMBSHIT!!!! Stupid fuck if you wanna bullshit make sure you know the info!!!!!

  • @THEMAN62084 Machine Head are the farthest thing from sell outs, are you kidding me? They're literally a very lesser known metal band. They haven't changed the ways of the way they write. Maybe they felt like suddenly doing solos, maybe they're taking a new direction. But they aren't sell outs. METALLICA are sell outs. NOT Machine Head.

  • Relax I like machine head, it was jsut funny watching this vid, because its total nu metal, not like there new stuff, I like nu metal, and I like guitar solo's, it doesnt even matter to me lol, this is actually a really good chorus on this song, but he cant rap thats for sure.

  • They were sellouts no doubt, this was a very dark time for them but they are back on track now so s'all good!

  • There is a difference in taking a new direction and selling out. This album is obviously the latter. They were riding the Korn, LB coat tails then Rob got his head out of his ass and started creating instead of imitating again. Now they are taking new directions and growing as a band.

  • new metal? perhaps at the release for years. do you know machine head? guys this is old. (still good) but fuck you! machine fucking head play fucking metal.

  • new metal !!! want sell more albums !!

  • Putain ils faisaient sacrément pitiés à cette époque... Coupe tecktonik, blouson fluo et pseudo rap c'était limite.... Dur à croire qu'ils nous aient pondu un si bon -dernier- album après être passé par "ça" :)

  • Yesterday I had the same hairstyle as Rob Flynn in this video. I need to do that again, on Monday I'll have red tips on the top, that will look SIIIICK.

    Rob Flynn RULLZ

  • Cool Jacket man

  • i know i want that jacket XD

  • love this song, i like the blackening its a great album but its not there best in my opinion still think burn my eyes and the more thing change r there best albums

  • cringe....i aint seen this in so long and gota admit its fuckin horrible....bleugh. thank god this was just a marketing phase...

  • machine head made the best nu-metal in the genre and then come out with one of the best metal albums ever with the blackening. goes to show how good the band are that they can pull off anything the put their hand to

  • that doesnt make them good.t. they failed in the nu metal era and are failing in the thrash metal era. they fallow trends and try to copy other bands. anyone can do that. if i wanted too i can play guitar and write music just like sevendust after all I got a black singer. that would just be a copy cat move on my part. its easy to make music when u got a laid out floor plan like limp bizkit and later metallica and other bands. MH never created anything different. limp did esp in guitars.

  • i dont get why you're so against machine head. just appreciate the music they make!

i saw them at sonisphere on sunday and i can tell you that they most definately not failing

  • This was such a sellout song.

  • Jumped on the nu-metal thing when it was popular, now they're doing the straight metal thing cause that's what's in.......

Some say it's talent, because they can do well in different mixed genres, but I call it them being posers.

    Just my opinion.

  • to be fair to MH it was roadrunner who told them to be nu-metal

  • NO IT WASNT

  • roadrunner also told fear factory at the same time to be more nu-metal

  • and you know this how??? you were there?? come on! LOL oh yes machine head was FORCED to become nu metal. it wasnt thier choice at all man not at all. obviously you dont have a clue.

  • It was in some Interview i read.

  • he looks terrible with short blond hairs but the song is great !

  • Horrible el pelo del vocalista.. =(

  • normally I dont like nu metal but machine head

created the greatest song of this genre

  • Well, actually to be precise Machine Head is trash Metal ;)

  • ur right they are "TRASH metal" not thrash ;]

  • i like all of their albums i just cant decide wich one could be the best :) anyway Machine Head rulz

  • Fucking great, Machine Fucking Head fucked up the French TV Show HAAAAAAAAA

  • matt11708 , your just flat out crazy man.... The Burning Red was by far the best Machine Head album !

  • You have the right to have an opinion, and so have I, but I personally didn't like burning red at all :/

  • It's got "Five" on it though, where Robb explains about him being raped in a garage haha, I think that makes it the best album by far! Obviously there was "Violate" from the previous album, but it wasn't as seductive

  • You find from this day video on daily motion

  • Robert seems Spears' Brother

  • Comment removed

  • And i'll say Nu metal FTW,

  • Say what the fuck you want about Machine Head

THey are are still one of th greats

at the forefront of the new wave of American Heavy Metal

And this song still rocks :D

  • new wave? dude they've been around since 92

  • It sounds a little slow but anyway this is kickasss

  • i liked everything machine head did but the low points for the band was 99-01 the nu metal days you can say it was machine heads load / reload days or nu metal days lol

  • lol this brings back memories

  • love this track, i also like supercharger as well as ttaoe and the blackening, even though rob flynn looked a bit of a dork back then haha.

  • where the hell is the actual music video for this song?

  • you know what, they are badass even if they do country music, fuck what them haters think! Flynn is awesome right here.

  • if u dont like the new stuff dont listen, fukking heavy live anyway no selling out there

  • well its all our own opinions, so no one is really wrong Arn0r89. I just think after the 1st 2 albums, the burning red was a huge step letdown. supercharger was shit also. apart from blood sweat tears, do they even play much songs from both albums live anymore?

i dont think TBR is heavy, its pretty poppy nu-metal. the production itself is light 2, the guitars and drums sound so thiny compared to their other albums

blackening beat burn my eyes? nah, aesthetics of h8=classic, rest=fillers

  • yeah to each his own. But everything except aesthetics of hate is filler on the blackening is filler?thats just crazy theres nothing but epic songs on there

  • well its what i think, most songs on that album just bored me.

While MH still rule live, i think in songwriting terms, their better days are well and truly behind them. I do hope il be proved wrong...but i've hoped that since supercharger,Ashes and blackening.

  • Clenching the fists of dissent....need i say more?

  • I love this song, and i love "The Burning Red". I dont think they sold out at all. Have you guys really listened to TBR?? Its heavy as fuck...and of course i love TTAOE and The Blackening. Maybe you have to be more open-minded to apreciate both stages of their career. And its obvious that they are having more success now, which is fucking great. Greetings from an spanish "Head Case"!!!

  • Purée, c'était encore le bon temps des lives de NPA !!!! avec devoise et vecchi nan ?

  • javou ca gérait :'(

  • At the very begining I was hating that tambourine sound....but now, after watching this video over and over......I'm starting to like it....what the hell...IT KICKS ASS!!!

  • the drummer look like layne staley

  • its funny how much shit metallica get from load/reload etc. and how so many ppl forget about this horse shit that m.head made, burning red and supercharger, shocking stuff, funny to watch

its trendy to be 'thrash' now, just like it was trendy back then for rob and co. to write this crap.

i doubt they will ever beat burn my eyes

  • You are wrong mate.Few songs from Supercharger and The Burning Red were crap like this one.

They did beat Burn My Eyes by releasing The Blackening

  • kool hairstyleeee

  • MFH are heavy metal and thrash they ae from the bay area wih is where i move to soon in oakland ca no discusion!!!

  • the burning red is the worst thing they ever did but it still kinda kicks ass

  • this was the worst thing machine head ever made:-D i am pretty glad the are back in real business^^

  • what year is this ? xD
