you can long jump off the mountain adjacent to the mushroom, and walljump backward. that's even faster than the box

i figured out the shortcut you used with the wind and blasted you to the top, im gonna make a video thats called "super mario 64 DS shortcut thingys"

in the DS version you can get that star simply by long jumping off of the end of the spinning log, much faster and cooler looking =)

there's a faster way. You just use the spring box at the beginning, and if you do it right it will hop you right up there. I just made this video as something interesting, not the fastest route

you can long jump from the log on the N64 too
