Me too, I was living next to TJC at the time and was on my way to the computer lab to work on a project when the smoke started getting really high. Freaky stuff.
My First Cousin in-law died in Dallas yesterday from severe burns from this explosion. His name was Jim--managed to survive 2 weeks. Do we really really think that the people at the top of these big corporations really care about the death of their workers? They had been cited SEVERAL times by OSHA for being in non compliance on safety issues. Some of those pipes were over 50 years old and rusty. This sucks big time!!!
If that was a toxic vapour cloud, you shouldnt be there LOL! Bad enough they vent that into the atmosphere without the by-products that are produced from a chemical fire.
