i did this simpler, but they do need a simple transistor buffer to be up to proper level/quality...then they work fine without having to use a pedal/board etc...video response sent.. :)
Hey dude I tried doing this but it didn't work and there's wayyyyy to much static. Maybe cos I'm in Australia and 106.7 and 107.5 are actually real FM stations...
@tr33tv Yea, that's a major flaw with this kind of FM transmitter. There's better kinds that can be tuned to any station, and I'm sure they have better ranges to transmit sound so that there's less static.
@shotokan1997 My amp is really bad quality. It has an overdrive button that gives it a distortion and this didn't work unless it was on. I actually think it was the gain in volume that made this work. I could be wrong, but if you have a good quality amp with a good volume level then this should work no prob without distortion.
My transmitter is on it's way from eBay right now but I have plugged a radio into my effect pedal board before just to see if I could mess with it. Lol
does the wireless fm transmitter itself, work well? like when you plug your ipod into it and play music in your car.. cause i ordered one but im not sure if it works well?
cool idea for like home stuff but probly wouldnt be reliable enough to use live cuz i have one of those transmitters (the exact one actually) for my car for my ipod and it cuts out a lot but good job
@lazaridiskiriakos Try playing with the frequencies. I can't remember exactly but I know that tuning both the radio and the transmitter to the same frequencies didn't work. It had to be slightly different. Also depending on where you live this may not work at all because radio stations will over power the signal from the transmitter. Trust me it does work.
@rickymontero Yea thats a good idea. I've though about how it'd be possible but never came up with any ideas. I'm not trying to perfect these gadgets that I make. I just like going from an idea in my head, to the finished product. As long as it functions and looks decent I'm satisfied.
so you can use distortion not just clean tone?

@Roobster100 Yea, especially if you order all the parts off eBay. China stuff is really cheap : P You could even find the FM tuner for cheap too.
