I see a number of comments saying how Patton isn't funny, but he's not even doing one of his real bits in this video. (Though it sounds like he's wrapping up his "Best Week Ever" bit at the very beginning) It sounds like he's just establishing one of his viewpoints so that the audience will know where the opinions expressed in one of his upcoming bits are coming from.
That's right, there can be points of view beyond "Hey, remember Speak & Spell?" in comedy.

Where is he a hypocrite? And humor is a matter of subjective personal taste.
Also, it'd probably be best not to comment on things you don't like, aye? Why are you watching in the first place?

The fact that the South is nothing like "the old south," the fact that those who would claim to be a part of the old south or share that mentality are very scattered and most people don't even really take things they say seriously, and the south ceding would be FAR bigger of a deal than the war in Iraq or gay marriage being legal.
I'm not saying I am pro-Bush or anti-Bush, I'm just saying Patton isn't funny and he is a hypocrite.

he hates the president because of the war, but he wants all the old south to die. thats kinda a double standard. its forgivable if its for the purpose of being funny, but... not all that funny

He's a comedian with hilarious stories. If you have a three-second attention span, he's not for you. He hates the president because the president is an ungainly, pro-war, anti-gay blow-hard and Patton's the opposite. The old South should cede from the Union if they want. And if he hates unnecessary war/government fear tactics AND asshole neoconservatives...well, that's not hypocrisy. It's intelligence.
