Silent Hill, Its a piece of memory for me :p I remember i was 8... Alone at home (My brother had to look for me, He just went to play with his friends) It was night and our ps2 was in the addic, I was playing Silent Hill while forbidden by my parents, Than all lights shut off and i just sat on that couch till my parents came, After that i have had some sort of schock that makes me uncapable of watching or playing anything scary :) It was worth it... Thumbs up if you agree SH is worth it.
I agree that now they arent as good, no deep feelings or twists with the characters..
But I still love the eerie feeling I get when playing ANY Silent Hill game. They definately arent going to be as good. But these are still BADASS and my favorite games of all time.

@EricFBG I am sorry, silent hill has not died, Silent Hill is the death, ofcourse it has its goold times but things changes and SH has to adapt to a world of 3D, and it did it with dignity, still been a survival horror, not becoming a third person shooter... if something has been lost is we dont have team silent and akira, but we are undead yet!!

@EricFBG Really? R.I.P Silent Hill? Nope, that happened when Silent Hill Homecoming came out. 1, 2 were great, and so were 3, 4, Origins, AND Shattered Memories (gasp!). I only saw the series go downhill when Homecoming was released. Of course, like most SH fans I was sceptic at Origins, but I gave it a go and loved it 100%. 4 wasn't like the other SH games, sure, but as to whether it was a good game and worth the SH title? I believe it was. No way in hell that 3 was the end of the series.

Did they just take mary elizabeth mcglynns voice and lower it an octave?? it sounds little weird, i'd prefer it with her singing this normally if that's to be the case... but its a cool song. i think it has to be her by the way its sung... it sounds like a a woman would have done it, i can imagine what it sounds like with her singing..
@xbreakthehabitx The singer is Joe Romersa. He writes the lyrics for most of the Silent Hill songs with vocals. I don't believe they lowered his voice, either. I think he likes to emulate David Bowie with his singing, because he also sings like this in Silent Hill 4's credits song, Cradle of Forest.
@Dramen93 I too, seriously doubt that they lowered his voice. He would probably sound weird if they had. Also, his voice is not freakishly low. It isn't hard to believe that someone could sing that deep.

I just want to say: Joe Romersa is a fantastic lyricist. Like, holy crap, read the lyrics to this song, or any SH song (or any of his non-SH work). His lyrics are astoundingly good, easily one of my greatest lyrical inspirations when it comes to my own music. It's a true shame he's not working on the Silent Hill series anymore D:

@ILZ31989 If the Normal Ending is canon, Heather and Douglas lived out their lives peacefully free from Silent Hill's influence. Otherwise, the events of Silent Hill 1 will repeat itself with Heather as the main antagonist.

Anyway, I believe that the "Normal Ending" is considered the canon one, so the story can't possibly continue based on the "Possessed Ending". Another proof that supports this is the fact that, on your first Silent Hill 3 playthrough, the "Normal Ending" is always what you're gonna get, despiting having met the conditions for the "Possessed Ending".
This one and the "theme of laura" are my two favorites from these series. I have never played the first silent hill, but i have to say that the second and third were the best so far.

I just want to say: Joe Romersa is a fantastic lyricist. Like, holy crap, read the lyrics to this song, or any SH song (or any of his non-SH work). His lyrics are astoundingly good, easily one of my greatest lyrical inspirations when it comes to my own music. It's a true shame he's not working on the Silent Hill series anymore D:

*One day (post-Sh1) when Harry was at the bar, some guy (who probably was another SH "guest") came in and was telling bartender (or everyone) what he saw in SH, nobody belived him though (exept Harry, who felt Uneasy). They found him dead the very next day (no one can't trully escape SH), everyone thought that poor guy was killed by some random maniac \ killer \ criminal, only Harry (Maybe on ubconsciousness level) felt that he could be next *

@ILZ31989 If the Normal Ending is canon, Heather and Douglas lived out their lives peacefully free from Silent Hill's influence. Otherwise, the events of Silent Hill 1 will repeat itself with Heather as the main antagonist.

Anyway, I believe that the "Normal Ending" is considered the canon one, so the story can't possibly continue based on the "Possessed Ending". Another proof that supports this is the fact that, on your first Silent Hill 3 playthrough, the "Normal Ending" is always what you're gonna get, despiting having met the conditions for the "Possessed Ending".
