  • I got swelling down with Thai medicine ball, swimming in the cold pacific ocean, elevation, ginger, and turmeric. I used no NSAIDs and did not have to ice.

  • ACL surgery is a pretty invasive procedure, and this is why it takes awhile to get back to normal. The op has no effect on your game if your rehab is done properly. Being fit is easy to achieve when u make sure u rehab hard and with purpose. Being mentally fit is another issue, if you're scared and thinking about the surgery, then obviously your game will be greatly affected. i won't advise anyone playing without a brace until 8-9 months after the surgery.

  • hi iv played basketball most my life i'm almost 3 months after my acl reconstruction, im doing heaps of rehab , i heard playing basketball isn't the same after your op , i cant wait to start playing again , just wanted to know does it effect your game on the court ? and if so how much ?

  • do u hav dat feeling ur going 2 injured it again like ur scared to feel dat pain again?..cuz im just scared i might injured it again if i play ball again..

  • @allpinoyballer37 i wasn't scared at all, but that's because i started playing with a brace, so the chance of getting hurt again wasn't big at all...i got the brace off 2 months after i got back, so my leg muscles were pretty good at the time and able to support my knee just fine. You can't play scared, that's what i know

  • @1DirtbikeBoy, i got off the crutches 5 days after the surgery

@llpinoyballer37, it really depends, I can't tell that there is an universal rule as to how to get the swelling down in no time. Depends on the how heavy you ice, depends on the routine you have for rehab

  • @divanov Please tell me a quick way to get the swelling down. I am currently waiting on it to go down. Doc cant do surgery until then. I am READY to get this done. Maybe Bath tub full of Ice?

  • @FreaK42WheelZ

Do acupuncture. It helps a lot for me. Ask if the person who performs uses heat light or not. If yes, dont pick him/her.

Did my surgery on June 11, 2010 with hamstring allograft. Starting to learn how to walk again on day 10.

Rehabs depend on when can you start to walk and how much pain you can tolerate and how good is the surgery goes. No one is the same. As long as you don't hurt yourself more with the proper exercise and can suck the pain. Do the rehab eariler.

  • hey i got my acl done 10/13 and it hurts like crazy wen i stand on it, when did u put the crutches down?

  • how long will the swelling completely disapeare?

  • thank you very much!!! good video...no shit, just what all you need to know!!!

  • im gettin my knee 95 degrees 2 weeks into rehab. i did the rediculous easy stuff at the crib 2 times a day. As soon as i was able to have good quad strength i got rid of my brace, it really held me back, really makes my hammy tight. so it feels really crazy with the brace off but good at the same time, got to get the leg working. but yo vids are awesome what week was u on when u got in the pool i can't wait for that.

  • Good. Finally have good vids on how to rehab. Pretty much have what you have. quicker I heal the quicker I do it all over again.

  • thanks. My physical therapists were giving me ridiculously easy things to do like leg lifts to the front, side, and back, and that's it. I'm going to do these too b/c I want to get better quicker and i feel like my PTs are holding me back. When were you able to straighten your knee? It has been 20 days (got surgery july 1, 2008) since my surgery and i walk with a limp with my leg brace because my knee cannot straighten and my PTs told me not to.

    Thanks!

  • nice. its been about 4 weeks and i still cant do the hamstring curl like u do. im guessing u did patellar tho

  • yes, i did patellar...the title of the video shows the weeks during which i was doing those excercises. i filmed the videos when i was way into my rehab, probably at week 12-13, that's why it kinda looks easy when i'm doing them

  • Hi there thanks for the information. i ve done the acl last friday and i m still got the crutches. are there any excercises that can help me right now?

  • i got my mcl meniscus and mpfl torn and had surgery a week ago. how long do you think i will be in crutches?? I HEAL FAST AND I DO REHAB MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

  • it really depends...i got off the crutches in 4 days...i was able to walk but still limping! this was an ACL surgery, so i don't know what would be the difference with MCL, MPFL and meniscus

  • I am 6'5 and weigh 280 pounds. this is the 7 and I feel a bit stronger. Well thanks.

  • How many weeks after op will u be doing this?

  • that's about 2 weeks after the surgery...however, it depends on your progress, u can move quicker with the rehab

  • Thats good!I subscribed so when I have my op I can find these vids! cheers

  • good shit mate thanks
