I cut a circular piece of wood and then bolted it to the tub bottom. Then I just drilled a hole just a little bit bigger than the wooden dowel so it wood spin freely.Very simple. Any other questions just ask I would be very happy to help you make one yourself as mine still works fine. I never get upset about answering questions because until you ask you wont know the answer, so feel free to ask me anything at all.
Can I get a list of the materials you used. What did you do for the ends where you have the central axle. Thanks for any details, you provide to help i making one myself.
Excellent design. I've always thought a horizontally mounted tumbler probably mixes the ingredients better than a vertically rotated one. Lots of aeration in your design too, must also contribute to its success. Now to adapt your design to the food grade barrels that I hope to get my hands on this week!
No I used nice 3/8th inch bolts in through the holes where they used to be rope to pick up the laundry tubs and then I added four more bolts in the spaces in between the handle bolds to make it fully secure all the way around. It is very solid and works perfectly for a very little money. have you noticed the ones on the internet costing around 335 dollars or more. These tubs only cost 8 bucks each and I had all the rest of the parts lying around my house already including all the hardware.
